In this video, I give you a tour of my tiny studio apartment in downtown Manhattan! I live in East Village in a 250 square foot studio. My rent was originally $2000 per month, but was recently reduced to $1800 per month, which is about the current market rate for a studio apartment in NYC. I told myself I’d chill out on the decor this time, so I was originally planning on keeping the place pretty minimalist and not recording an apartment makeover. But as they say.. you can lead an Ashley to an apartment, but you can’t make her resist her impulse to wallpaper every single surface. So anyways, here’s my apartment tour, complete with a small jungle worth of house plants, an abundance of vintage gold mirrors, my trusty pink armchair, and some questionable NYC storage solutions. I’m not quite sure how to describe my decor aesthetic - it’s somewhere between grandma chic, tumblr chic, and i-own-way-too-much-stuff-so-i-hid-everything-in-ikea-boxes chic. Just safety tips for all of you watching this (I'm just so mad that some random dude just ruined her new apartment):
1. Please do not show the view from your window (just white church can totally expose where you live)
2. Please do not show the exterior of your apartment (shitty people can find your location with even a tiny bit of clue)
3. Be aware when you leave ur home, notice if there's any "1F" or "2F" marks by ur door, it indicates if a female is living alone.
4. CARRY YOUR PEPPER SPRAY.
5. Put security camera by ur door, get hard core evidence of stalker to show the police.
6. Even when you post selfies, DOUBLE checked the reflection in your eyeball, ur mirror, and anything that reflects. The reflections can easily reveal the environment around you such as streets and buildings.

these are all great tips but the 1f/2f thing is a myth. there has never been any actual crime case related to that,or any other kind of "marking"
you're better off just staying vigilant and making ure your home has a secure lock system.
i'll add to this, pepper spray is ineffective on many assailants. know how to run and defend yourself. but yes, to everything you said. my neighbor was a state trooper and a second father to me, and he was always teaching me tips and tricks.

He and her mom, Sabrina, are professors in the sciences. Her sister works in the sciences as well. She seems to be the odd one out, which is probably why she doesn't like to talk about her family.

I remember watching this video the day she posted it, and waiting for two weeks to watch her next video (because she posted once every two weeks towards the end of her yt days), but she never did. I had days Ashley would post on yt marked on my calendar and journal just so I could watch them as soon as she posted.. I was in high school then, it's been 3 years and I'm graduating this year. Time flies and her videos almost feel like some nostalgic fever dream, especially when I recall how much they helped me during the pandemic. I'm happy she's successful and doing great in life now, I get excited when I see her posts on my feed. She can post on yt again if/when she wants to, or never post here again, I'd still love her the same. :)

It is sad but it is going to happen.
On stalking: I had a stalker for 2 years and all my friends would say that he was just trying to get me to like him and that I actually “enjoyed the attention”. First police station basically told me that I was overreacting and then when I finally started to receive DEATH threats, another police officer (this time female) took me seriously.
If you’re ever victim of stalking or harassment, don’t give up! It took me two years to get rid of the problem because I decided to listen to my stupid “friends”. If you feel uncomfortable about anything, remember that YOU ARE RIGHT.

If you're getting stalked honestly just buy a knife/gun, whatever kind of weapon you can legally carry. In some parts of the states that have stand your ground laws (and the other ones with castle defense laws) you can keep yourself safe if law enforcement doesn't do enough.
@@rainbow-vv7fq unfortunately weapons are likely to be taken and used against the victim however so this is not always the best advice

@@tylersinton3095 yes! I just really miss her TH-cam videos, they feel more personal and allow us to watch and hear her more than just a romanticized photo on Instagram. When I see photos of her, they make me so happy, but I still miss girl talks, hauls, cleaning vids, and more :)
I know Ashley doesn't owe us anything, but I think just a quick message saying she's moved on in an instagram caption or story would give her fans closure. It would also stop all the wishing for youtube video comments on every post of hers that are probably irritating for her. I know she won't see this, but Ash you're such a creative person and thanks for sharing your work on youtube for the years you did ❤️
I think, to be fair, even if Ashley says she moved on from TH-cam, there will be people commenting that they wish she would come back. But I do get what you mean though, I’m sure some people will stop.

I wonder how long Ashley would have continued TH-cam if she didn't get the constant hate that she did + the stalker... I know she would have stopped making videos eventually, but I do feel like these two factors in particular sped up to it. I miss her being on TH-cam; I know she's out there doing bigger and better things. Can only hope maybe one day she'll find the creative spark to come back to TH-cam.

I think Ashley’s career closely mirrors Emma Chamberlain’s - started when humble beginnings and a fanbase of broke 20 year olds, and slowly grew too affluent and successful to be relatable to said fanbase. it’s just a natural progression of things. I think it’s best that we move on, as fans, and appreciate Ashley for the content (and probably numerous sacrifices) she made for us during tough times. she’s grown up, and so have we.
Coming back to her vids after giving up all hope in 2021 (discovered her a week after this last vid, devastating), I agree with you. Ashley was burnt out on TH-cam and was clearly excited about modeling and working in the fashion industry. Not sharing every detail of your life online, especially when brands are watching you (not to mention getting stalked, yikes!) is both a smart and understandable move. I wish her well, and I appreciate what she gave us while she was in this TH-cam chapter
