@@Dreaming-Void I can only speak from personal experience, but I usually scale the the armature to get a similar effect to how you would squash and stretch a 2d drawing
Now THIS is how you do a PS1 graphic series without using an underlying "horror" theme. Just lovely animation with quirky characters and a wholesome welcoming aesthetic. Please have it be like a new puzzles for anna to solve while goin on her adventure to beat her game!
0:05 So, what I think Risk thought Anna was supposed to do was: - Push the block towards the cannon - Lift the block and load it inside the cannon - Grab 1 fire on a stick from the campfire - Aim the cannon towards the target - Light the cannon - The block hits the target and falls on the button - The door opens If this was supposed to be a tutorial level, it IS too challenging for a beginner like Anna.
would also explain how the flag landed right beside the button when it was thrown so far to the side, aim assist for the cannon to not make it too hard to aim at the button
The new character ost video explains this a bunch Risk and Reward are good at making levels with very limited mechanics, but they also have a tendency to sometimes add TOO much or make it too complicated.
Everyone’s talking about the animation (which is fantastic don’t get me wrong), but I’d also like to point out that the vocal delivery of the last section was really great. Risk coming in with “ANA!” was perfect, you can hear the immense worry in his voice.
In truth, we were doing improv takes to sound confused when Anna 'solves' the puzzle. By the end of the recording, sis and I were in a laughing fit and as a spontaneous cherry on top, I just shouted "ANNA!" We ended up using that take.
This was super delightful!!! I love the idea of an animated series that not only authentically looks and feels like an old N64/PS1 game, but is set in one. Scratches my brain in a really nice way.

it really gives just enough compression to sound like a game from that era, but not too much that it sounds bitcrushed. Reminds me of Parappa the Rapper and Ratchet and clank for the ps1.
Love the duality of Risk and Reward! Ones a triangle pointing down the other is a triangle pointing up, one has keys on them and the other has key holes, as well as the fire and ice thing! Characters that are designed to be next to one another are simply peak!!
Man, the design of each character is just so incredibly charming, their personalities well displayed too. Anna just RADIATES n64 protag energy with how they're built with spheres, having that process of testing everything and eventually breaking it like a real player would. Risks points and fires really sell the dangerous nature of who he is and how he motivates others by giving them a push, as well as the kind of developer that carefully constructs his game to ensure that there's a certain way it's supposed to be done. Reward is a much more relaxed overall design like she's the kind mother to Risks passionate fathering, she also embodies that kind of developer that's genuinely happy to see things get done in creative never thought of before ways. You can really, REALLY see this when that flag is thrown, Risk is confused and shocked that his expertly planned level was so easy to break, whilst reward looks excited to see this entirely out of the box thinking being done by Anna. Overall a fantastic animation!

Absolutely no idea what any of this is but I really love it the animation is great and this whole thing is very charming You managed to capture the exact style and feel of these older type games while still managing to make it expressive and animated and i really love anna's 2d facial expressions‼️‼️
I have an idea of how it went: 1. Push the ice block onto the fire pit and it will drop a match. 2. The match will immediately be lit by the fire so you need to quickly move and light the cannon before it goes out. 3. Aim the cannon up in the air, fire yourself towards the target and fall down onto the button. 4. If you either let the match burn out or mess up the cannon then the water fall you grabbed the ice block out from will freeze a new ice cube again and you'll have to start the process all over until you succeed.
I love how you actually included that Anna's loading render would be different from her in-game (or I guess in-animation) model, like how almost all PS1 Box Art or Promo renders always have more polygons than the actual game, and love the glossy heavy shadows look on that render, it's accurate as all hell

the voice acting, character design, retro style, squash and stretch, and the sound design; this is just so incredibly fun and creative, please keep it up!
I just now noticed the reused animation and texture of the fire on the campfire and Risk's hair, just like how older games would reuse textures and animations. This animation alone really hits the nail on the head of the old timey feel that the older games on the N64 and such feel like. Speaking of Risk, I was gonna make a slight nitpick about his hands, but then I realized, THATS THE POINT (pun slightly intended). His hands are supposed to look like that because hands are a pain in the older hardware, so just having the triangles themselves be super flat and simple works to help "the devs" of "this game" be able to animate him easier without using too much memory and processing power. Bravo to you, good sir! I can't wait to see what else you cook up!
Bro this is looking so fire the animation is super!🔥🔥 The voice actors for risk and reward are great! Also the way Anna jumped off the cliff after realizing what she had done was fantastic😂
Most comments I see already cover whatever praise I could give, so instead I'll take a crack at the intended solution. Put the cube in the cannon. Point the cannon at the target. Use the fire to light the fuse. The cannon will fire the cube into the target and lower the walls, allowing you to simply walk onto the button and win. Am I close?

I'd turn this bug into a feature. Being able to manually move your spawn point sounds like a fun mechanic for a game to be centered around.
I can't stop watching it, I think this'll be the 8 or 9th time
anna and reward are probably my favorite characters so far, this is amazing!!!! and i seriously cant stop watching
Im so glad i found this
I just now noticed the reused animation and texture of the fire on the campfire and Risk's hair, just like how older games would reuse textures and animations.
I can't wait to see what else you cook up!
for some reason, Risk's voice reminds me of the dude from crazy taxi.
You know, the guy that goes "HEY HEY HEY, IT'S TIME TO MAKE SOME CRAZY MONEY"
CRAZY TAXI MENTIONED
I gotta say thanks to Pelo for making me discover this channel
Bro this is looking so fire the animation is super!🔥🔥
The voice actors for risk and reward are great!
Also the way Anna jumped off the cliff after realizing what she had done was fantastic😂
This is so charming and adorable! I love the retro vibe!
Am I close?
good idea but not really close
@@MegentaLive oof 😔
