I love how all of these characters have fairly grounded backstories despite their exaggerated designs, and how they're all working in gamedev. It really gives the cast even more charm than what we saw at the surface level
The whole "game about game development" idea is nothing new, but the incredibly colorful and diverse cast on display here (as well as the general super bouncy style that's a joy to watch) really makes it stand out. Overboard definitely gives off "main villain you feel really bad for once you know why they act like that" vibes in both appearance and theme song.
“…after his assumption to CEO and rebranding, [Overboard’s] shift from daring to formulaic has caused concern among staff who once considered him a free spirit.” This, along with the robotic design and human like mask, is a BRILLAINT character design.
I find the name “Overboard” to be very clever too as it’s both a pun on Overlord and makes obvious reference to the fact that he’s gone, well- overboard, with his devotion to his work.
And, based on the Soundcloud soundtrack, the opening cutscene for the game is apparently set to a variation of his theme, titled "All That's Left", which, in addition to giving a tantalizing hint as to how his takeover is going to drive the plot, is an absolutely 10/10 name for a track. Oh, also, a new track just got added a few days ago called "Ticked Off" and it! Is noteworthy!
My favorite little thing is how on "Jollymandering," the line "mm that you only meant" is cut and sped up in just such a way that it sounds like it's saying "Mm the jollyman." I feel like it's intentional but regardless it's cute!
I love how, if you read one of the sentences while the person in the background is saying it, it sounds like that sentence. Say if you read “mm that you only meant” while the person in the background is saying it it sounds like that person is saying it, same goes for “mm the jollyman”

Something I LOVE here is how, like... Overboard's vibe feels COMPLETELY different between the two songs that feature him, even though he's doing the exact same idle pose-- when he's alone with his theme, you really feel the cold, calculated, intimidating, maybe frustrating figure he's become in his muted body language and stern, solid expression, but when he's with the others while What's on the Menu? is playing, it reads completely differently and you get _all_ the confidence and expertise and dependability. It's so cool
So, Anna's the protag, cobbled together out of who knows what, while the others are the game devs who made the world. Each of the Offhands has been paired with a Master in the same or similar fields. The designers are Inhaus, Risk, and Reward. The artists are Doorman and Recordian (music is art too!). The hardware handlers are Dram and Rhambus. The coders are Overboard and Queue. I really like the lore you've set up for everyone here, and I'm excited to see where this series goes!
I got the impression that Overboard and Queue A. are more associated with the people and business side of things. Also, though the Recordian's work is clearly music centered, the bio seems to say that he also specializes in video editing and such and is kind of a multimedia specialist.
@@LoreJelly At least, World 4 is named "Marketing"; I got the impression that the world names are more reflective of the user's experience than the company's side of things, with the first two being referred to as gameplay and graphics rather than programming and art. Being CEO is more management than marketing, and I think Queue A. has been referred to as a secretary in a few developer comments. Though it seems she might wear multiple hats based on her bio, which appears to be the norm for the characters.

The designs themselves are also stunning, all being unique in their own ways. So excited for more work from you :>!
Cantankerous, Can't-Leave-Her-Ous needs to be observed under a microscope. This is peak. I hear all the nooks going on in there; but I get it. It's 'too much', like Rhambus' creations. Good stuff.
INDUSTRIAL THEME SUPREMACY
YOO ZINGER IS ON FIRE AND COOKING THESE TRACKS, ONLY CANON I BELIEVE IN
Didn't expect the OST video to have lore in it. Very nice.
For once, youtube recommendations brings me sonething good. Great music, really diging the characters too. Lookin forward to whatever comes of this.
Babe wake up new Anna-Logue info has dropped
this is the kind of thing that i live and will die for, love it and thx for making this amount of lore for the characters
23:39 WE MAKING IT OUT OF WORLD 1 WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥
OBSSESSED WITH RISK AND REWARD
to whoever it may concern,
anna-logue is adorable and i am thrilled to see what happens next with this series.
keep up the good work guys.
jollymandering goes so fucking hard holy shit
Darn. Beat me to the chase of the name "doorman." Glad I started cutting that concept off earlier
I mean, it was practical...
@@MachoBoyANIM I'm not blaming you. I'm glad I found a better reason to cut off the door idea than because "it just doesn't fit right into the story"
Could I interest you in "Doorman" from the 1994 superhero parody cartoon "The Tick" (appears in "The Tick vs. the Tick")?
He serves at the local superheroes' club as...well...
oh i know a FEW people who would love queue a....
Only a FEW?
@@MachoBoyANIM I think they're saying CERTAIN people would love her
God forgive, I don't...
*loading shells with well proved intentions*
OH MY GOODNESS THIS GOES SO HARD I'VE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CHARACTER DESIGNS SO VERY MUCH IT TRULY GIVES ME A LOT OF THE Y2K FINESSE AND THE EARLY 2000'S PLAYSTATION 2,N64 AND THE LATE 90'S PS1 GAME'S BACK OF THE DAY LIKE FOR EXAMPLE APE ESCAPE,BOMBERMAN HERO AND KLONLA BUT OVERALL I'VE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK AND THE ARTSTYLE SO VERY MUCH KEEP IT UP THE FANTASTIC WORK BC YOUR THE BEST AND VERY AWESOME ARTIST AND AN WONDERFULLY TALENTED PERSON AND YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE MORE AND MORE SUBSCRIBERS ON TH-cam CAUSE YOU ARE THE GREATEST TH-camR EVER!!!
I am really excited to seeing more with these silly guys :}
also I don't think any song has tickled my brain as much as jollymandering
i love these characters and their style , im not sure if it was inspiration or simply it's the first thing i think of but their style and even music in a way reminds me alot of the first Ape Escape. Either way the fact this is going to be an actual game makes me so excited and can see this growing to ENA levels of love and care.
I need to play through Ape Escape someday. Looks incredibly charming.
It's a great collect-athon even now , would highly recommended if your into them.
this is so good it’s insane, dear god the charm is off the charts
I've been listening to your soundcloud on repeat for a few days now and you BLESS me with this, thank you
I remember you said you wanted to make it a game.
The fact that it's actually in the works is amazing!
Can't wait to see what you make, man.
Anna-logue reminds me so much of the bouncy, happy-go-lucky style of old 2000’s cartoons like rolly Polly olly, especially with her intro song, it has me very excited to see the type of vibe this game ends up being!!
These tunes and character designs make me happy, very whimsical! I can’t wait to see what this project has in store for the future
Got this in my recommended and as someone who loves old eurodance/house and electronica, and still has her old CD ROM games- this is really up my alley~
All of these are so befitting of the time period it's inspired by ^o^
The little voice samples in the background, the slight bounciness, etc.
CD-ROM games with prerendered backgrounds...
THAT'S THE DREAM
I love how the style of the art and music is just like a Dreamcast game. A strange otherworldly feeling right at home. Great job on making this!
I love how far you’ve come macho, from your previous Sfm animations, to animating in blender, to making your own little series with blender, and then now making it into your own game! Plus making music too?? I’m really happy for you macho! Excited to see more of anna-logue :p
I love this. I really, really love this. From what I can gather in the bios, none of these guys are really "evil" in the video game sense. All these guys are doin' is just tryin' to make a fun video game, and I think that's really neat
This looks and sounds like end credits if this was an education cartoon akin to Crashbox, A Little Curious, or anything out of PBS Kids. Good job!
this is the first video ive seen of this character but i can already tell im gonna have a hyperfixation on it
I am in love with Anna - Logue... These characters ooze personality and the story seems like it could get really interesting.
Also I wanna give inhaus a big hug
All of the main character themes fit in so well with the characters, I'm so happy that you are expanding on this cool project!
Can I just say I am in love with your music mixing and taste. I would love to get the album someday.
ZING ZING ZING WEIGH IN ON THR STRINGS OF MY ZING ZING ZING 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the fact this is going to be an actual game makes me so happy good luck
I love all these characters but risk and reward have to be my favorites. I love sibling dynamics, and i get the sense that reward is the wiser older sibling, while risk is the brash younger brother.
I'm glad I discovered Anna-Logue! I love the art/animation style, character designs, music, and just general vibes of it.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more Anna-Logue.
risk and reward are such good characters. All of these guys are good characters. They are all good friends I hope.
Queue A.'s theme sounds like it was ripped straight out of a Spyro soundtrack blessed by Stewart Copeland himself holy moly
These are all such wonderful pieces!!!!
Insanely fantastic use of leitmotif in this entire soundtrack! Every song is terrific & unique but Gigabyte of Data, What’s on the Menu, Zinger & Off The Grid are absolutely phenomenal & my favorites.
These character designs are so GOOOD
