The title screen music alone has me entranced, but the entire title screen has enchanted me completely and gives me the desire to fully immerse myself into the game to be lost within whatever wondrous world this exists inside. In other words, this feels like a game I could've played as a kid back in the dreamcast era
Phew. As always, the animation is silky-smooth, but I also have to applaud you for making this impressively accurate to "obscure experimental PS1 games that never quite got popular, but found a small cult following among the few that played it." From the squishy and slightly trippy look of the title screen, to the jamming(yet somewhat bizzare) music, to the wacky character designs, to the pre-rendered screens with simple materials and separated joints. Good stuff.
Thank you, thank you. The Dreamcast is my north star on this project. All those experimental titles and flashy menus completely entranced me as a kid and they left a deep impression. And the cult classics, those were the bread and butter of this work, most notably Sengoku Turb for Dreamcast. Even my animation style as a whole was inspired by Timesplitters, another fairly obscure title. The music was definitely inspired by SEGA's other Dreamcast works as well. So yeah, pretty on the money about the influence. Long live Dreamcast.
Yeah it reminds me of crash bandicoot 1 and 2 title screens where the character interacts with the letters of the title. They were very creative with their title screens at the beginning of 3D games
This reminds me of those old kid's shows that used early CGI for their animation. I think one was named "Rolly pollie ollie" or something like that. The squash-and-stretch movements of simple 3D objects and Anna's facial animations are the most familiar.
The Ollie comparison was definitely made more than once, so you're on to something there. I will say Charles Schulz's Peanuts was a huge influence, and it shines in a specific frame at around 0:32
Was expecting the animation to be smooth, but wasn't expecting how good the "Anna-Logue!" Series would turn out! Like how the title screen is appealing as you implemented enough squash and stretch to the character which makes the character seemingly squishy whenever it moves. I just like how these animations gave me Pecola vibes due to the animation being squishy of course :)
Low-poly and pre-rendered aesthetic, god I feel like I wanna cry. Feels like so few people are chasing after this specific look.Pre-rendered graphics especially, nobody understands that it's an aesthetic now but god... It's just so good to look at. I love this and I love you for making this.
I was feeling really down recently Until I saw Anna dancing there.. I really wish I was there when these types of games were the norm. Also her dancing on the title screen really reminds me of Vib-Ribbon. I remember watching s full playthrough of that game when I randomly found it. It was a surreal expereince. Ok I stop commenting now. Please continue on this. It's a joy to watch!
I'm literally crying at how this perfectly captures the kind of weird and wacky games I used to play ages ago on the PS1 I love each and every single person that made this
I have a feeling Anna-Logue would be the kind of game that people would manage to find a horror-esque level in its files mostly unfinished that becomes a legend throughout its community as an undying rumor before the age of the internet.
This is actually something I would adore playing, this vibe is so great, really hope this turns into something amazing whether it's an actual game or just an animation
I can not count how many times I replayed the moment where the big robot punches the title at 0:19 im just obessed with it And that beat drop is just 🖐😔👌 And anna just dancing is very cute i love it
Everyones talking about the animation, rightfully so but the music is so entrancing!!!! All of this is so mesmerising wrapped up in a lovely dovely charming box of goodness, I hope you release the songs separately!!! I love the world screne music especially it is so amazing
This makes me feel so nostalgic for some reason. It also seems like people would tell you that this is a "girly game", but I would say otherwise because of the peeps at the top above the title.
the big robot in the middle at the back looks like Nefarious Tropy from the Crash Bandicoot game(because of what's on his back). also i liked your animations and music very much. good work
I know I'm a little late, but this is such a charming animation. It's especially fun to re watch and follow the individual characters movements, all of which convey such personality aha. I can't wait to see what else comes of this project! Out of interest, I'd love to know what programs you used. Some of the renders are incredibly Sonic DX - esque
i dont know but this gives off more of a horror feeling for me. like at one part of the start of the story just starts off with something creepy happening. i cant describe it but it's just... giving off the feeling of horror or creepypasta
Everything about this fits that N64 vibe so perfectly but also has this sense of polish just a little beyond what any actual n64 game ever QUITE obtained fully but maybe might have, if the generation had gone on longer.
I love how the name of the game kinda makes fun out of Analog horror by acting like this video is some *spooky* VHCS when it’s just a silly video and even if it wasn’t intended, I still find it funny.
Wow this is so good! I specially love the bounciness of the animation and vibrant colors, and it's always nice to see modern stuff taking inspiration from old retro stuff Also the low-poly aesthetic and the design of the main character remind me a bit of Robot 64 (which shouldn't be that surprising since both take obvious inspiration from n64/ps1 videogames but still lol)
This is great! Reminds me of the old N64 game Space Station Silicon Valley... maybe because it's one of the few obscure wacky low-poly games I know about. The squash and stretch here makes it feel so lively!

You could also hire the necessary staff as well, but for some reason, I'm mentally interested in what it'd be like if Anna-logue was something in vr.

Loved it, the way that everthing moves is just so fluid
I love how vibrant this looks, and it feel something ripped of a gamecube or ps2, great job on this
Thanks! Vibrancy is needed on this tawdry site.
The name alone sells it for me and the animation as well.
This is super well made, great job!

this feels like an intro animation youd get for parappa the rappa 2 which is very feel good for me
ive only got three words to describe this:
Rolie Polie Olie
I want to leave Anna-Logue at school as I wish her a good day and give her the dora the explorer lunchbox I packed with a sandwich inside
