Great question! So here where I am, steam isn't the main source of energy. I believe a lot of east and west coast cities are. Like Oregon is both...so no I am not. Steam is fucking nuts though! Very very very dangerous
@@moparsrt822 got you! Yes,that also depends on the cities source of energy. And there are a lot of combo locals. But mine is a stream line local and only plumbing. We do have a pipe fitter union. The contractor I work for is fitter focused. Just kinda depends what interest you. Do you want to work with stuff the human produces and ingests or what surrounds a human? Fitters don't hold state licenses. Just certs. But they deal with a lof hydronic systems and nothing that a human ingests or excretes. Hope that helps. I'll do a video explains the difference!
