The RX-160G Byarlant Isolde

- A customized version of RX-160 Byarlant, the Byarlant Isolde belonged to the mysterious armed group "Birnam" which attacked Earth Federation's special corp "Mastema" near the former asteroid base Axis in U.C. 0096. The Byarlant Isolde retained the three-finger claw arms of the original Byarlant and also features two new back-mounted Propellant Tank/Thruster Units similar to the ones used by RX-160S Byarlant Custom.

Byarlant is an MS that went through all three optical modules. The original had a monoeye, the second from Unicorn had a faceplate and this one had the Gundam style two eyes and a mouthguard.
I'm pretty sure the custom actually has all three in one.
@@Luke-li5gj yup the custom has the full package, it uses compound sensors meaning that it has both a monoeye and two dual eyes in its sensor if you look closely
Doven Wolf/Silver Bullet is similar, you had the monoeye/GM head/Gundam head

Oh, Twilight Axis, yeah these were probably the first introduction to Buch Concern and their major appearance is on F91 Gundam. ;-;
The Twilight Axis ONA may be criminally short and barely coherent, but I do love the visual style and direction. Doing an action scene like this in such minimal lighting can be so obnoxious - even in animation - but you can still follow the fight quite well while the low light really adds flavour to the scene. I also love the slightly lingering shots on the Mobile Suit's... faces, I guess. It's very chanbara-coded, and really works.
I always like Byarlant too
Byarlant line are unironically comparable to the zeta line.
Please... The Byarlant Custom from Unicorn!! It is singlehandedly the best Byarlant I have ever seen!!!
The Byarlant Custom in Unicorn is a rare example of the Right Guy Being in the Right Suit at the Right Time. The Byarlant was designed for *atmospheric* flight. In space, in a restricted area, doesn't have as much of an advantage. But in Earth gravity, in the hands of the right pilot, even with minimal weaponry it becomes an nightmare.

Byarlant is one of my favorite grunt suits. This one too, I just dont liked much his color scheme, but except that, I loved this unit
Byarlant is not a grunt suit, they are elite suits same as Jesta and Shezzar. They're above grunt tier but bellow Gundam tier.
@@chaptermastermoloc4171 I called them grunts suits bc I saw ppl calling units like Jesta as grunt suits too. I knew they are better than grunts, but I didnt know if they have a unique category.

Nice seeing the Byarlant, don’t get me wrong... but why is it being used in space? Isn't the main conceit of the design that it's meant to fly for extended times in atmosphere?
Funny how that works out. Yeah despite being designed specifically for atmospheric flight the Byarlant can be used in space too.
In Zeta, Jerid uses it in space until the final battle where he upgrades to the Bound Doc.

Buch Concern (Or whatever they’re called at this point) use whatever material they can find cobbled together to make functional MS - they probably acquired a Byarlant through Federation scrap and modified it to make it usable in space. If it works, it works!
Byarlant can be refitted to use rocket thrusters for space, and Isolde specifically is specialized for that.
Just 1 question: was This byarlant Isolda created before or after The unicorn Gundam evento?

So an old Zaku III can beat up Byarlant, but multiple modern Geara Zulus can't even touch Byarlant? Makes no sense.
it makes some sense. the byarlant custom in unicorn was a build by EFF and was refurbished in an out.
the byarlant isolde is built similarly but by buch concern (aka, cosmo babylonia before the nobility), and most of their machines back then were rebuilds of the base machine (the tristan for instance being a slightly modified alex for example) so performance would probably be off
that and lets face it...........the byarlant in unicorn was piloted by the GOAT. that thing only had its mega particle gun/beam saber as a weapon and it still solo'd a good chunk of zeon
Char custom zaku 3
The high performance Zaku lll custom is piloted by an ace and the byarlant custom in the unicorn is piloted by an ace makes perfect sense
The Zaku III is also a powerhouse. Most Neo Zeon suits from ZZ were pretty overpowered. The Geara Doga/Zulu were actually downgrades (but considerably more cost effective and balanced)
This particular Zaku III has a lot of custom parts meant for the man in red himself so it's especially powerful.
Zaku III is a higher performance suit than Geara Zulus (or rather Zee Zulus) and here the pilots are much more equal, leaning towards Zaku III's than Byarlant Custom vs remnants
