Thank you for this great episode. I think people forget that Jesus instituted the Eurcharist at the Passover Meal, so the emphasis is on cultivating a natural hunger for him rather than on the fasting. In the context of arming oneself, if you feel you are under attack then fasting is powerful but again, for me it is important to keep the focus on the Eurcharist. Personally, I would actively not eat an hour before receiving but not longer. I also agree with you that St. Joseph has tremendous power and has been overlooked as a key player in this fight. Holy water is my go to if I feel in anyway bothered by evil and I have found it can dispel other things such as agitation, nervousness etc., I know alot of people find the rosary boring and it is sometimes hard to get young people to adopt it, but it is a first-line of defence against anything evil. The fact that our cerebellum can continue to recite this prayer even when afraid is all the more reason to return to it. I love the show gentlemen, greetings from Ireland.

Good show. I constantly bless my house, my animal and myself. Especially my bedroom. So I sleep well. Prayer in the AM and PM and the scapular...monthly confession. Rosary also. It's seems repetitious, however when you have an active prayer life and going to church and doing everything you're supposed to... the devil is not going to want to stick around. He'll pop his head in every now and then to look and see what's going on but when you're on schedule he knows what he's up against. And that's, Jesus and Mary 🙏🏻✝️🥰
2020, My soul was extremely craving for any spiritual nourishment. I can't stop watching you tube from any teachings, prayers, everything I can grasp to fill the deep hollow within me as I left or ignore my faith because of judging priests, bishops etc without even scrutinizing my own sinful self! When I started being active to attending mass, praying the rosary etc, Evil started attacking me even if I am half awake. It was a dark, evil strong force that tries to rip my physical body, like pulling my head & pulling my feet at the same time. It was a painful wind kind off and I was so aware but can't shout, move etc. I just kept praying " Hail Mary" repeatedly 'til it subsides. Happened thrice this year but never scared me as the Blessed Mother & God is with me. I am/was not in drugs or anything, the only thing I remember was in the past I played "spirit of the coin" & has a spirit encounter & never confess about it & watched all witches stuff! Apologize for this long post, tried to make it short & clear. God Bless us all!
I usually go to Mass a little cranky and HUNGRY, thinking about what I'm going to eat after, etc. Every time after receiving, I am totally satiated. It seems like a little eucharistic miracle every time.
I noticed sometimes when I receive the eucharist my mind and eyes literally light up. the feeling is like you are really starved then suddenly you are nourished.

I have been bedridden since July. I have not gone to Mass and Communion other than watching Mass on TV and making spiritual Communions. It is not the same. I end up crying. I watch your show daily. What more can I do for God. I pray rosary chaplets readings. It never seems enough.

I just recently found out going out to get food on Sunday is a sin tho cause it goes against one of the 10 commandments So I haven't been getting donuts or going out after mass on Sundays like I used too. I didn't know it was bad till recently sadly. But my priest said anything that encourages other people to work on Sunday also goes against keeping Sunday as a day of rest.
We have holy water fonts at our front and back doors and I bless myself everytime I leave the house and before prayer. Tonight's show really helps me in my spiritual journey. 7:50 - good point, Dellacrosse - yes. I don't do fasting enough and I should because it is renewing. For me it is like this - going on a awesome day hike on a hard trail. Combining prayer with it is like the map directing the Way. The fast is the experience. Combined they lead you to God and it is like an elevated place spiritually. A decent fast day is like going on a hike rated as Hard/Difficult on Alltrails (I like hiking, lol). The rating helps you be prepared for what you are going to physically go through,,, length of trail, elevation rise, type of terrain. As hard as it is, it's really rewarding. Summiting is like a spiritual high thinking of God's hand created this ground and while few people see it, He knows it intimately - and He shares this with me. Fasting is like that for me, and I should do it more often.

Thank you for this episode. We are in a spiritual warfare and need to arm ourselves. We need to rebuke satan, out loud, not in our heads. Let him know he is not welcome here. He is not welcome in our lives, in our world. Be ready when you rebuke him though that there will be turmoil in your life afterward. Keep faith in God and continue to let satan know that you are a child of the most-high God--satan is not welcome here and has no power.
Very good show! Please note, though, that the one-hour fast (watet and medicine only) prior to receiving Holy Communion is an absolute requirement. My understanding is that it's a grave sin to knowingly/willingly violate that (without dispensation/exception). Ryan was encouraging "extra" which would be a penitential, meritorious offering to God.

All that you say is true. I am old enough to remember my “old” church pre Vatican II- the reverence and respect. I miss the tradition the church had. Spirituality as devolved into psychology.
I did not grow up going to church at all and I had to move away from my family due some toxicity issues. I have always felt alone and have a heart yearning to go to church but I have gone to a church a time or two and I have been made to feel that since I am a widowed woman I am considered unworthy. I have been drawn to the Catholic Church but I live in an area where the main religion is Mormon. It seems so intimidating because I really have no idea how to even begin. What do you do when you are lost and resources are limited?

Fasting and abstinence are different. Fasting does refer to eating and is the act of refraining from eating food. abstinence is the practice of refraining from indulging a desire. Same kind of thing but different
to fast is to live without a certain food, hobby, gadget or things, a bad attitude etc for a certain amount of time and offer these discomfort or pain to god as a sacrifice. ex: Skipping breakfast everyday. Praying on an empty stomach. Not using social media every friday or sunday. Avoiding gossip. etc, etc, etc, . . .
I started watching The Boys and went through the first season with the hope that the content would improve, but it did the exact opposite. I ended up not watching it any further, and I took it to confession.

And why the Catholic Church is stronger than it looks than other religions and why we have to stick together like a tree. Not like the protestants and the Mormons. Matthews gospel is dipped a hand with him that’s how he knows he’s in betrayed him that’s spirituality evil. And the outcome is he hangs himself. Marks gospel is the same thing he dips the bread and also he will never be born and he hang Judas hang himself. They both also give them a kiss in the garden. Luke’s Gospel the devil enters Judas but Judas doesn’t hang from a tree he kills himself in the stomach and John’s Gospel the devil is it? For me,… The passion of the Christ was the? For me too because Mel Gibson could have used different gospels to make it better so Hollywood wouldn’t have gave the Catholics a bad name in my opinion I think father Richard would agree with me too. The reason why I say this is because I believe the four gospels can help us all defeat the devil like looking at a piece of art or music it’s like advent Christmas there’s four candles each week represents a different gospel and the middle one equals the fifth gospel or the whole thing which is Christ but we can all have our opinions on which gospels we prefer but at the end the day it’s our perceptions to crates path Christ path. Fasting and abstinence are different. Fasting does refer to eating and is the act of refraining from eating food. abstinence is the practice of refraining from indulging a desire. Same kind of thing but different

I genuinely do not understand fasting. I think I fast. But am I really fasting? I’d like to be able to get this correct.
to fast is to live without a certain food, hobby, gadget or things, a bad attitude etc for a certain amount of time and offer these discomfort or pain to god as a sacrifice.
ex: Skipping breakfast everyday. Praying on an empty stomach.
Not using social media every friday or sunday.
Avoiding gossip.

I fast for one hour after Holy Communion, this is the first time I have heard of fasting before Communion. Is it accurate to fast after Communion?
The Church says you must fast for one hour before receiving Holy Communion.

Jesus dealt with the devil with Judas that’s an example and here’s a dilemma of inconsistencies and cherry picking. And why the Catholic Church is stronger than it looks than other religions and why we have to stick together like a tree. Not like the protestants and the Mormons. Matthews gospel is dipped a hand with him that’s how he knows he’s in betrayed him that’s spirituality evil. And the outcome is he hangs himself. Marks gospel is the same thing he dips the bread and also he will never be born and he hang Judas hang himself. They both also give them a kiss in the garden. Luke’s Gospel the devil enters Judas but Judas doesn’t hang from a tree he kills himself in the stomach and John’s Gospel the devil is it? For me,… The passion of the Christ was the? I have been listening to these Rabbi's who have you tube channels devoted to trash Christianity. I just had to turn one off. But I am telling you that these Rabbi's are convincing Christians to give up Christianity. They have numerous books and are working very hard to take Christians away and discredit Christianity.
