Gooday Fr Gregory and Fr Patrick, A nice way to start the morning with Fr Patrick 's warm smile and Fr Gregory's great humour. Will listen with interest to this podcast later in the day. God bless you both abundantly.! 🙌 🙏
Heaven is our truly home where we were Created ❤️🔥 and we are here to probe we are better than Adam and Eve so we deserve to live there with our Lord JesusChrist ✝️
Awesome episode. I listened to it twice, once on the Stitcher podcast and once here on TH-cam. We really have so many murky notions in our culture - thanks for the clear insights.
What about the New Heaven New Earth where we will have bodies and there will be other created physical things around us? People never really talk about that, but that’s what eternal life will actually be. Disembodied Heaven is temporary
I'm real l8r but @ 6:08, ... did the camera's autofocus drink a Red Bull or something? Blurry... clear...blurry...clear... (said in Homer Simpson's voice)
Check out Teilhard de Chardin, say, _The Divine Milieu_ ... Living into heaven and loving the earth and all beings are not opposed. Remember also that we pray: "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
@@Kleithap someone who is questioning heaven likely doesn’t believe the Holy Bible. from a theological standpoint, this is obviously the right answer. when someone doesn’t buy into the truth of the Bible, they need a philosophical answer. you can’t answer someone with a premise they don’t even believe in in the first place. to prove the existence of heaven you need first prove the existence of God. handing him a Bible is not the way to do this. This is a mistake evangelicals make often.
@@ryanbasel8670 By your standard I’d first have to convince him that God exists, moreover that it’s the Trinitarian Christian god, that the Bible is His Word, and finally that the Bible speaks of heaven. Your mileage may vary but I don’t think a TH-cam comment is the right place to go into eg Aquinas’ 5 ways (or whatever your favorite proof is). So I just skipped to the end. But feel free to explain all the steps in the middle to him if you have the time and inclination :-)

Is it correct to imagine being back in Eden with God? Not going into all that would entail, of course.
Sorry 😔 only got to 6minutes9seconds, something wrong with your camera.
It might be more useful to think about how we can improve planet Earth, because we know that it exists.

No apllied mathematics without pure mathematics, no applied humanics without pure humanics.
What evidence do you have for heaven?
The Bible
@@Kleithap not a good response
@@ryanbasel8670 why not?
