Hi Taylor. I think that house has been featured in several house design magazines. Actually, Hulu Langat has many of these hidden gems around, including gorgeous wedding venues by the river or in an orchard. The whole area used to be so laidback and land was so cheap back then! My father was lucky to have bought a few acres. He used to force us to follow him to clear the land and plant fruit trees when we we were in our teens on weekends. We hated it😂 Now 45 years later, dad's vision lives on for the family. We get to enjoy the fruits of our labour 😊 Hope you get to explore more of HL and visit Pangsun - stay at the eco resort or camp by the river
Maybe you could invite Mr.Taylor during fruits season, I am sure that will be a good experience for him. I can't do that myself because my siblings have sold our parent orchard.....
I like that the location is close to KL, but feels like it is out in the country. Given the hustle and bustle of the city, the place is a peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Andrew for letting us view your extraordinary beautiful accommodations. And again letting us viewings this stunning view of Malay design restaurant. ❤
Surprising to see such a place out in the middle of the jungle with such modern amenities. Even more surprising is to see such a rural area so close to the city. I hope to visit this country one day in the not too distant future
Beautifully done by you sir. The cenematography was excellent with good composition and lighting. You successfully translate what you feel into a vedio. It's not easy to achieve. Overall I give you A+++ until I want to know the camera you used. One day I like you teach us how to video lighting. Congratulations Mr Taylor. We're waiting your video with different subject.
Very nice share. Do you know there are also many serene retreats like this in Janda Baik (45 minutes away). One such place is Sentosa where the Owner will also give you a personal guided tour of the place with loads of interesting info of the house collections of antiques as its a homestay as well as a gallery. The gardens huge and you will love it!
Welcome to my neighbourhood,😍 Well, I don't live within the rural areas but in a township called Bandar Tun Hussein Onn. But Hulu Langat is a quick escape for us who live nearby. There are plenty of waterfalls and streams there and the most popular I'd say is Sungai Gabai. There's also a mountain nearby called Mount Nuang. It serves as a natural boundary for three states - Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan. Usually, climbers would climb from either Pangsun at the end of Hulu Langat, Kemensah near your area Ampang or Janda Baik in Pahang. Just enjoy the greenery there, Taylor. Prolly you'd yearn to return. ❤
@@andrewtaylor4558 you're most welcome. Oh, there are plenty of hot springs too in Hulu Langat. Some used to be free then but now you have to pay a minimum entry fee. Sungai Serai is the famous one. On weekends, sometimes, you may see Japanese expats taking dips in droves. A good dip will ease every sche, believe m,e 😎
I was amazed to be in a rainforest at Forest Reserve Institute only half hour from KL city centre. I got lost and panicked a bit as it was getting dark so would suggest staying on the track.
It might be a good idea to check out a couple more comparable vacation properties in the Ulu Langat. Janda Baik is another fantastic place you should definitely check out if you'd want to relax in a similar atmosphere. Kuala Lumpur is only 45 minutes or 30 to 40 miles away, and there are many interesting villas and rest houses that will surely entice you to return time and time again.
When did the last time you go to JB? Janda Baik today is nothing like JB in the past. Over-populated and over-developed in a bad way. Haphazard and so so so not organized. Blame it on the town planner. 🤨
@@zaharizak - Honestly, I haven't been there in a long time; instead, I've only seen it in a couple of videos, one of which was a weeding of a Canadian TH-camr and his Indonesian bride from last year. You are probably right that there are currently too many chalets in Janda Baik and that the construction is ill-planned. Regretfully, Pahang's local governments isn't able to manage popular holiday spots like Cameron Highlands. I hope Ulu Langat is not subjected to the same abuse as Janda Baik.
@@noordinbeldenlex1620 Hahaha, when I read your second sentence, I thought what the heck, weeding what? Then the penny dropped, typo error "wedding". I've watched the video (jetlag wrriors), the wedding venue was lovely.
Wonderful. Thank you for this video. Glad to see you visited the locals quick getaway, an escapade into the nature. Both the villa and restaurant are so charming and so beautiful. It's so serene, I can feel the tranquility.
Used to frequent Hulu langat when staying nearby in Balakong. During my stint in the workforce, my company always conducted their training there. Love the greenery and rural vibes, but it can get congested sometimes.
Beautiful villa n garden🌿 Hulu Langat is popular weekend retreat among locals mainly city folks because of the waterfalls, river streams n other beautiful natures.
Hulu Langat has beautiful hills and nature. This hidden gem you found is indeed marvelous. The lush jungle and serene atmosphere will certainly sooth anyone who needs to getaway from the city. BTW, Hulu Langat experienced severe floods in November 2022. There are videos on you tube that shows the scale of destruction. There wwas a clip of 2 large Malayan Tapirs treading out on the flood waters in a busy street, heading for safety.
That is special about KL. One moment you are working in an office at the modern world's tallest petronas twin tower and in another moment just about 40 minutes away you are in the world's oldest tropical rainforest if you want to. Or at least found it in your backyard. I find this is a special gift for the people of KL come think of it. I use to tell my foreign clients when we met during dinner in the modern KL that I am driving back to my house in the jungle. They thought I was joking😂
I'm from Singapore, but my wife has an auntie living in Hulu Langat. We love going there for visiting them and stay at homestays. There are hot springs and a couple of rivers you can swim in. Good place to retire. My auntie and uncle did just that.
