I've always done my camera work manually and than all of a sudden I see what these dolly and panning tools are. That is going to same me so much time. Thanks once again mate.
Always learning something new😁 thank you for watching mate. You could even quickly use all camera tools if you hold ALT key, left mouse button, scroll wheel and right mouse button respectively become camera tools. But that works with after effects 2022 and above I believe.
@@SmertimbaGraphics For some bizarre reason, on my After Effects journey, I have just never seen them used in a tutorial, so I just never picked it up. I like your videos because even on subjects I know, you always seem to throw in some great little tips.
@@SmertimbaGraphics I'm trying to animate the "Universal" Animation from the Universal Studios on the sky from a video footage. It should look like that the Word is actually moving over the sky 😄 Harder than i thought. It would be awesome if you know how to do that 😉

I tried executing the process and everything was going smoothly until i added the light and the shadows did not appear somehow although i checked the cast shadows box. I don't know why i can't seem to have shadows on my 3D text :( If anybody knows how to help, i would really appreciate.
Maybe the light intensity is too low or the light is too far away from the text, also make sure you are not in 3d draft mode, that disables shadows and the rest
when i clicked on 3D for my text it's turned completely black and my text doesn't show up anymore,can you tell me why it does that?thank you very much:)
@SmertimbaGraphics I only have 2 options Classic 3D & Ray-traced 3D tried both just now. I also noticed in the gaussian blur setting I do not have the checkbox of Repeat Edge Pixels (can this be the reason?)

Question why did you add the photo? I was assuming the 3D text would be show with the photo at the end? Great explanation regarding the 3D text.
I added a photo to make it an environment layer, that way texts reflects whatever you add

Hard to say what the problem is, do you get the inner shadows though? cast shadows option is required to cast shadows onto other layers

What exactly is the issue?
@@SmertimbaGraphics when I right click on the Map comp the environment layer option is gryed out (cannot select it)
You most likely didn't change the renderer in composition settings

You need cinema 4d renderer, that will also allow you to extrude the shapes
Why when i set the image as enviroment layer it becomes at the background
You can't see the environment layer, only in reflections
