Thanks for checking out this video! This is a re-uploaded version that fixed a few audio issues I noticed on my original one. Thanks for your support and understanding!
Dude I don't know where you are or what you're doing now but thanks for your 3 recent videos teaching me how to swap frame lip sync and modify rotations
Short, Simple and straight to the point, love it. Seriously bro you saved my hide, you basically summarized several hours of my teachers lecture into a video less than 10 mins.
Recent animation school graduate here: Currently using your videos to help me enhance my portfolio for the industry! Thanks for making this and I love how concise everything was!! :)
I swear to GOD, I been fighting with the damn software all evening until I watched this. Your tutorial was simple and straight to the point!! You just saved my life!! Thank you!!!!
I think your the first person I could understand talking about all this rigging stuff for the first time. I need to learning how to do flash rigging...and you explained it in the most simplest way! Thank you!
you explained one of the most seemingly complicated things in animating in the simplest way i have EVER heard!!! insanely good video, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video man, the animation segments look so good. That seems like a whole lot of work to do but the end result is great. I'm sure things get crazy when you have a very complex character design. Keep up the stellar work Chad, I really enjoy watching these.
Thanks for watching! There's definitely a benefit to more simplified character designs, that for sure. The few times I worked with complicated character rigs I needed a whole screen just for all their control layers and it got pretty crazy. Glad you are enjoying the new content!
Hey Chad! Finally had time to sit down and watch this video! Ah man, this brought back so many memories of Flash from back in 2006. Really good tutorial mate, very informative but to the point 👍🏻 looking forward to seeing what’s next 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is literally the only helpful video in existence for rigging characters that I've found! Wow haha nice work! I've been transitioning to animate, and even adobes own videos are not this helpful
VERY VERY HELPFUL BRO ...Without this Video it will be a hard time learning and understand how this works Very Well Explained GOOD JOB ... SOMEBODY Need Need to Watch for Biggeners. 👌👌👌
@@Chitchadshow im always good to people, even if thers somebody is not 🤗 and thats the #1 talent i have 🤗 and im thankfull to have it❤️❤️ Goodbless bro 🥰 keep safe
That was so helpful, pls do more videos on animate cc. You are inspiring thousands of people out there who are interested in animation. Subbed and liked🙌.
Hi Chad, at 3:22-is your character already separated into parts in another program like a psd file OR are you actually separating the arm, hand, body etc... using a tool here in animate? If so what tool are you using? I have a jpeg image in but how do I separate them? Thanks Chad!
This channel has not much subscribers but your way of explanation and the simplification of topics is super 😍😍 I love your work and we will support you.. keep going..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
OKAY DUDE I missed your content and now you're back when I just bought the Adobe apps and I'm struggling with animation ??? YOU FREAKING LIFESAVER 🤩👍👍👍
Hello, I'm using adobe animate and I'm a bit confused about the "convert members to graphic symbols, because I'm importing a character from Illustrator, with all the limbs separated as movie clips, so if I convert a member I will have 2 different symbols, which I don't know to animate only the graphic ones. **Sorry for bad English.
I'm confused. so can you draw one figure then separate it into individual parts in animate? or do you need to separate them in another program and import them as individual layers?
Too late but I'll asnwer this comment bc there can have more people with the same doubt, well you have to draw your character in a separate software part by part naming each of them, then join all his peaces on Photoshop trough layers and save as psg to open in animate
So how would u go about switching the body parts in different frames for example the hands …or if I wanted to have a fully 3D feel but with a 2d style I’m assuming u would draw every possible rotation but then how do u Input it into ur animation
Hey Chad! Just curious how do I save a character that I’ve drawn? So I drew Spider-Man and I have him all rigged and ready to animate but I want to use him in future animations. How would I save his objects? Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial!
Dear @Chitchadshow please answer me: I've created a human character with all body parts on different layers. Then converted all the body parts into Movie Clip symbol. However, I placed eyes, eyebrows and lips inside the head symbol and converted them into separate Graphic Symbols. Then I further edited the 'eyes' graphic symbol to create 'pupils' layer within it to create eye blinking animation. Then I selected the entire character and converted into Movie Clip symbol. Is it the right method to create a custom character for later use? Do I need to save my character into Assets separately as 'Static' or 'Animated' Symbol? Do I need to save it after rigging for animation in my storytelling videos? I don't understand the layer and symbol structure for my character. I want to use my character in my story videos. How can I?
I used to animate in Maya for game production but I’m now wanting to do this as a career. Is it possible to give rotation limiters to the arms let’s say. So that the elbow won’t bend the other way when working the IK Thanks
I have an AI character I want to animate but in order to create the layers, will I have to recreate and separate the different parts of that character myself? Or is there a way I can still use the original AI image?
Hello! Great video! Is it possible to export this animations in premiere pro as essential graphics (morgts)? So they will be somehow editable in premiere pro without opening the after effects?
Tbh it was the most useful video i watched for animate... Can u do a video on how to animation (i mean like walk cycle) or simple things like that ... It would have been a great help .. anyways .. loved this one
hello i wanna ask so does that means, if we want to trace the character from our sketches we need to trace the body part one by one in different layer for each body part?
Hi 🌹I have a question I did all steps but when I start animat the anchor points move from their places😡 I need to lock them or something like that... 😭 Please tell me what I can do.... thank you very much dear 🌹
Hi Chad, what would be the best way to go about separating the layers of a character that has already been drawn? I use procreate for drawing, would I need to go back and slice each component into their own layer before importing it as a PSD? Or is there an easier way to do it in PS?
Thank you for your video, I would like some advice please . How do I prepare an image that I can break down in Animate. I have a png image which i've imported to Animate but right clicikg only selects the whole Image. Do I need to do some other prep in another Adobe app first. Thanks
Took me back to 2000 when it used to be called Macromedia Flash which I learned on my own and there wasn;t TH-cam and was enjoying making 2D animations and interactive widgets gradually until Flash wiped out for 2 -3 years completely and I start different direction but fortunately I still remember all the tools and shortcuts and commands to apply May be I spend more time and with Animate and do some more 2D animations at some point
Not sure what you are referring to? Are you referring to the actual character drawing? If drawing or designing a character isn't something you are used to, I mentioned that stock websites like AdobeStock or Shutterstock are a good place to purchase character models. I may also do another tutorial in the future that covers the drawing tools in Adobe Animate.
Thanks for checking out this video! This is a re-uploaded version that fixed a few audio issues I noticed on my original one. Thanks for your support and understanding!

There ain't no way I just found DanDaMiniFig, the person who made me want to rig my own 2d character, in the video I'm watching to learn how to do it
For smooth animation, which is most convenient _
Character rigg.or FRAME BY FRAME Animation.
.
What if I’d like to use different hand positions, do I just draw them and rig them but hide it until I need to utilize a different position?
Oh...I see u have a video about it🤦🏾♂️😂my apologize. I’m really liking your channel
No worries, thanks for checking out the channel.
So does this animations software comes with standard charectors models or i can create my own chatector models?

Hey Chit! Was wondering if there's a way to save the rigs as a file and import them in any project instead of remaking them from scratch every time
same even i would like to know
What is the best program to actually draw characters like this? Photoshop or in Animate itself?
How do you change hand and eyebrow poses?
what an amazing way to start ur video😍
Simple and Clear. Like your tut!
Thank you!
The bone tool flings all my body parts around randomly when they're not symbols
and if they are symbols it just doesn't let me place anything
Can i use this software in a laptop which have no dedicated gpu?
Please answer
hello i wanna ask so does that means, if we want to trace the character from our sketches we need to trace the body part one by one in different layer for each body part?
Still here saving people, thanks a lot man
