Initially, because of the abundance of body armor, I thought P90 or MP7 is the way. However, I felt like the P90 seemed to still require a lot of bullets to neutralize a threat. Besides, found something nice : with 9mm SMGs, even though you don't pen body armor, you're more likely to down them non-lethally, making it a decent "less likely to be lethal" option. That said, it's important to control your burst and observe your target to not "over shoot them" until they die. It mostly works against body armor, unarmored suspects are still likely to die. Besides, nothing beat the classic SWAT feel of the MP5A2 with the flashlight and no other attachment.
from what i've heard, 9mm and .45 ACP seem to be pretty inconsistent as far as getting them to give up vs them not caring. then again, i'm getting similar inconsistencies with beanbags, pepperballs, and gas.
@xevanski2737 It's not really consistent for sure, but I was surprised by how often it would happen while doing some cosplay with the MP5. I was surprised by the survival rate and by how they would sometimes surrender due to the suppression, pain, or stun from getting 9mm in their limbs or from the blunt force in their body armor. It's not as reliable as an SA58 or a beanbag for sure though.
I believe there is a bug with the P90 because it does not down people in a reasonable burst. I have less ammo in a MP7 but can down more enemies than I can with a P90 by a lot. I can easily down 4-5 enemies with MP7, but the P90 I can barley get 2 people per mag

It's key purpose for design was cost cutting as you mention in the video, well, that's very obvious when you handle it. The MPX never seeing mass adoption is interesting, and I have a theory about that. Most SWAT teams are ditching Submachine guns and PDWs for shorter AR-15s in 5.56 or .300 Blackout, which you can compact to Submachine gun sizes but still get great armor penetration with. Departments that can afford to upgrade are switching to SBRs, departments that can't couldn't afford the MPX anyway and are probably still using 30 year old MP5s and Mossbergs
Yeah, but then again there's not a whole lot of difference between any of the calibers outside of armor pen. 9mm through 308 all usually kill in 2-3 shots on unarmored targets. IRL 10mm isn't going to have any better armor pen than 9mm, so frankly the in-game depiction is pretty good.

I don't know why but the 10mm MP5 just feels right to me, it always felt more like an allrounder to me and I've never had any problems with it. I think the damage difference becomes noticeable, when you start shredding legs because you accidentally brought a 10mm/9mm into a map with many heavily armored hostiles. In my opinion, the 10mm also works good on longer ranges, partly because the slightly increased recoil makes me slow it down a bit, which makes me hit more shots, which decreases the risk of hurting civillians. The MP9 I enjoy for it's small size and I used to bring the 416 with that flip scope for longer ranges. The AK is also quite nice for small maps with armored hostiles

I like these tier videos. Hope you make more. My top 3 SMGs are: MP5/10, SPC, UMP-45. Further ones I occasionally take out: P90 (Stargate feels), MP7. Regarding SMGs I'm waiting for the MP5SD6, MP5KA4 (with burst), MP5/40, MP5 MLI, Beretta PMX, Beretta Mx4 Storm to come to the game. And also Glock 19 mounted in CAA RONI-G2 full auto, or replace the Glock with a full auto capable Glock.
I've personally found the spc extremely controllable if you pull down while firing, and with the right attachments it's basically a laser pointer after a bit of use. the full auto is excessively fast though, and it burns ammo if you aren't judicious with the trigger.
Listing LE agencies that don't have an MP5 would be a drastically larger list than those that do, gross over exaggeration. AR15s are significantly more affordable and vastly more available. MP5s are acquired by large departments with large budgets, and even then they are only distributed to a handful of Officers in specialized units..
If anyone wants to know the song at 12 minutes it’s famous from hotline Miami but it’s from an artist called M O O N and the track is called crystals. The whole moon ep is ideal for lighting up people in games
I agree with everything you said about the MP5 10 however it was the primary weapon of the Rainbow operators in the original Rainbow 6 book, which in my opinion puts it firmly into S tier.
Like MP5 for lowest recoil in any fire mode, but favorite is UMP-45 for 600 rpm that give opportunity control recoil and shots in auto, for stopping effect of fat 45acp too.
One of the suppressors on the SPC9 increases vertical recoil. The other suppressor reduces vertical recoil. Noticeable difference between the two in-game.

My most-used SMG's are the MP7, the SPC, and the MP9. Though 9mm isn't great against body armor, I feel like the high rate of fire makes up for it and still allows them to chew through armored enemies, especially at close range.
When I play RoN I choose the UMP45 and the MP5A2(Technically A4). UMP45 mainly because of the slower firerate and the bigger punch. It's a weapon that permits you good control in full auto, and you aren't spitting bullets and have more time to let go of the trigger if a civilian comes running into the line of fire. MP5A2 however is a practical option. I don't need too much in the way of attachments if the weapon itself has compensation, and is a comfortable choice for close quarters against targets with minimal body armor.
I believe The MPX Is (S) because it never let me down with fast controllable fire rate and quick reloads. The only downfall I can see Is mag capacity which can hinder you if you are rushed by 3 or more enemies but the super fast reload kinda negates that.
At first I was thinking there's something wrong with your speech. Then I noticed one of the pictures you used for MP5 and I realized you don't speak wrong, you're just from the same country I am from; Finland. Because nobody speaks English in the same accent like we do and nobody else uses Finnish stock images. And if you didn't figure it out yet, this is the fist video I saw from you. BTW, I'm surprised you put MP5 to the A-tier, considering you gave it much more pros than P90 and not enough cons to counteract. But I say this from the perspective of not having played the game myself, so I may not fully understand what you're talking about. But I absolutely agree with you on MP5A2! That's S-tier for the legendary looks only. Even if it only would shoot a mixture of playdough and lube.
@@civilianuseonly I'm really curious then, where are you from? You really speak English like Finnish folks are used to, although much more fluid than usual.
Something I love about this channel is that I can skip to the end to see the final ranking but still need to watch the whole video to find out why because the ranking system is entirely and admittedly arbitrary. Edit: yes the MP5A2 is absolutely S-Tier on looks alone
I think it's a bit ridiculous to put it in the P90 S series, because the 5.7 bullets it uses are limited and expensive. But you can find 9mm on the ground even while walking on the road.

Thanks, it's why I make these videos
Subbed for that random badass Hotline Miami edit
I hope they add the Vityaz, would be a fun eastern counterpart to the MP5
Or the CZ Scorpion.
Running the MP5A2 with optics instead of just iron sight and light is a crime on its own
I like these tier videos.
Honestly, the pistol irons on the MP7 are pretty good, especially in close quarters dark maps where a flashlight can outshine a holo sight.
I've personally found the spc extremely controllable if you pull down while firing, and with the right attachments it's basically a laser pointer after a bit of use. the full auto is excessively fast though, and it burns ammo if you aren't judicious with the trigger.
Oh man what an absolute legend you're to include Hotline Miami music 👍 it fits so well and I'm gonna copy that in my plays 😂😂❤
I can't remember for the life of me, what is the name of that soundtrack?
@@Bruh-d Type in Hotline Miami Crystals and it should pop up 👍

Listing LE agencies that don't have an MP5 would be a drastically larger list than those that do, gross over exaggeration. AR15s are significantly more affordable and vastly more available. MP5s are acquired by large departments with large budgets, and even then they are only distributed to a handful of Officers in specialized units..
7:16 lol, that's actually how you should charge the MP5 or at least for it's older model
The MP9 seems so cool in real life from those who’ve used it and how light it is.
I think it would be nice if you showed how each gun sounds without a suppressor. Otherwise great vid
Suppressors still do not work so there is no point
@@pestilentsleeper9152but the video rate the appearance too, and the sound (without suppressor) adds a lot to the experience
@@UlisesKinslayer I didn’t consider that aspect, fair point
does not work?
If anyone wants to know the song at 12 minutes it’s famous from hotline Miami but it’s from an artist called M O O N and the track is called crystals.
The whole moon ep is ideal for lighting up people in games
I agree with everything you said about the MP5 10 however it was the primary weapon of the Rainbow operators in the original Rainbow 6 book, which in my opinion puts it firmly into S tier.
The raid on the guys making full-auto stuff was the only one I equipped all pepper balls on. Should’ve been legal from the start.
This guy becomes be THE Ready or Not youtuber
The Hotline Miami music was spot on
Love that soundtrack
@@civilianuseonly keep uploading those kind of videos bro it’s pure quality. Great work ! You will get a big ready or not TH-camr I’m sure of that
Like MP5 for lowest recoil in any fire mode, but favorite is UMP-45 for 600 rpm that give opportunity control recoil and shots in auto, for stopping effect of fat 45acp too.
One of the suppressors on the SPC9 increases vertical recoil. The other suppressor reduces vertical recoil. Noticeable difference between the two in-game.

My autism over the MP5 surefire handguard will not be stopped
Literally watched Die Haed last night, simply the best Christmas movie
If they ever add the Vector I'll use it exclusively.
Now I got a machine gun!
Ho ho ho
Merry Christmas 😂
12:06 YES!!!
Hoping for an AR video. Great video btw!
Thank you
My most-used SMG's are the MP7, the SPC, and the MP9. Though 9mm isn't great against body armor, I feel like the high rate of fire makes up for it and still allows them to chew through armored enemies, especially at close range.
I wish MP5 10mm in RoN have an option to remove the rail systems... i miss that classic look from the classic R6 series
That AK at 7:30 refused to be dropped

Interesting - I'm not Finnish but have always wanted to visit. I chose the Finnish image because I thought it looked cool.

The devs said they are working on the P90 magazine but that was like a year ago so idk if they actually are.
The MP7 is my go to PDW in every game, it's as effective as the P90 but it's slightly more beautiful in my opinion
MP5 is cool but i'd only pick it in missions where the suspects have no body armor
Remember when the bad guy has body armor shoot for the groin, it neutralizes them and removes them from the gene pool
I think it's a bit ridiculous to put it in the P90 S series, because the 5.7 bullets it uses are limited and expensive. But you can find 9mm on the ground even while walking on the road.
this isn't Tarkov though
“I have an MP7”
11:47 certified Hotline Miami moment
I love how out of 10 SMGs, 7 of them are german. Man I love my country!
The talking balaclava, MP7, very based. Very cool
It’d be neat if they added the CZ Scorpion.
