Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.
🚄 ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. Join me as I continue to travel and be sure to let me know if you’d like me to video at your favourite or local station.
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed the video. Shame the Class 769's didn't work out for TFW but nice to see a Class 230 though in action.
Thank you, the 230s only run on this route so even though I didn’t see much variety it was worth it to me. 🙂
Wrexham General at its finest. I’m looking forward to your North Wales Series. Nice to see the VivaRail’s 230s on the channel as well. Once again thank you for sharing Ross.👍
Great video as always! 👍
The Class 197 Civity DMU does sound like a bus. Plus both Wrexham Central and Wrexham General stations are so close to each other.
The 197s like the 196s and 195s are similar in engine and gearbox to the Bombardier 172s. They have mechanical ZF transmissions so it sounds really similar to a vehicles’s automatic gearbox. This transmission allows the trains to be more efficient with their engine revs whilst having fast acceleration. It’s quite clever and has proven to be successful.
Totally agree. 👍
As always, great vid!
Amazing train video ross
Wrexham Gen, hm?- i always thought it was a bigger station than this i can't lie😂, and yes the d-trains, is it true that there's some joining GWR on the greenford line btw?- good video as always Ross👍🏻
Nice spotting I like the class 158s
Great video.
1:36 Damm. D STOCKS SOUNDS JUST LIKE IT
I certainly hope you were at the 507 tour as well as wrexham
I would like to go to Wrexham as both Wrexham General and Wrexham Central stations are quite near to each other.
Excellent video Ross!! Getting close to 20K now!! Some decent variety there! Seems like TfW and 197s are like what GWR is to IETs, they use them for everything they can! Good to see TFW providing sizeable capacity on long distance routes to🤦♂️ Dont the 67 mk4 sets run through Wrexham??
Lovely video as always!
(Also is your intro song custom made or does it have a name to find it?)
Can you do Worcestershire parkway next please 🥺 congrats on your new video we are nearly at 20K subscribers anyway great video
Enjoyable video, many thanks. Seems incredible to me that we have trains of only two cars running between South and North Wales. Is capacity an issue on these lines? I've always been of the view that if you provide the trains and sufficient capacity, people will use them.
That 230 its goona sound stupid for me to say this but looks like if it took notes from the tesla Cybertruck 😅
But all honest good video. Question when are you planning on doing Needham Market again?
Can you do a video at somewhere like Tonbridge or Sevenoaks
Hello StarLifeStudios, may i ask what camera you use to film, i am trying to become more professional and i have always seen your videos as the best quality and stable, so what camera do you use or recommend that is in a £50-£200 price range?😊
