I think that not only is this a slap to the double standards between men & women, but I think it's also a slap at the Korean standards at how they think idols should act, body standards and so on.

My theory for why only Rosé had a solo song: first of all one has to accept that these 4 ladies are professional and do really care for one another, and there is no jealousy between them. Although all 4 have demonstrated each of them could sing spectacularly well, they might not have the same desire for shining in singing. But there can't be any doubt in anyone mind that Rosé has a passion for singing over anything else, and one could easily bet that, whenever "BlackPink" is over, she would carry on as a professional singer and nothing else, until the day she could not push enough air through her vocal cords to make sounds. Jennie, despite being a super-multitalented versatile artist and a superb rapper, might only care to be a great musical performer, in addition to have a career in fashion, maybe. For Lisa, although all of her fans, including me, would love to hear her sing a lot more, the only thing she cares might just be dancing (she has said many times that dancing is her life, and has not said anything like that about singing, or even rapping). Jisoo, despite having a unique voice and a superb vocal skill, might be very itching right now to move on to become a full-time actress, her original passion. "BlackPinK" has been a wonderful experience for her [and for us Blinks], a wonderful vehicle for her to move up in the drama world. Had she followed the usual path of becoming an actor, there would be no guaranty of getting a comparable fan base as she has now from Blinks (for those who miss it, Jisoo has just won the award for ‘Outstanding Korean Actress’ at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards 2022, for her leading role in "Snowdrop"). So, there might not be any controversy inside YG Entertainment for Teddy Park to make this move. In addition, Jisoo mentioned in the interview with the "Rolling Stones" magazine, that from the beginning of "BlackPink", all for girls have always been heavily involved in the planning of each come-back, of each song, and of each MV. I think the other 3 have said similar things in various interviews.
I think it's true that the members probably would have been very supportive of Rosé getting a solo song in the album and don't have any negative feelings or jealousy about it at all. OTOH, it's a little strange that YG did not provide any explanation at all, since it's a very unusual move and unprecedented for Blackpink to just throw a solo into an album. I can see why they wouldn't put a Jisoo solo into the album. Fans would have been upset, especially if there was no separate M/V or promotions for it, because it would look like YG was just trying to go cheap on Jisoo's solo project. Rosé's song is cool and I think most people are happy to have it. But I think it created a lot of questions in people's minds about how things are going to go in the future and wondering whether some members are going to get pushed forward more and other members are going to be downplayed more. It's always a sensitive thing in the Blink fandom.

Kpop music tends to focus on the UNREAL, perfect, bright, cheerful, & shiny women. They avoid, talking about the “ugly, flawed, & broken” side of a REAL imperfect women.
BP music challenges the stereotypes of a prim & proper young women. It’s very empowering.
You very, VERY RARELY, have Kpop music, specially female artists. Making references to a girl that drinks, get high, & has & toxic & reckless behavior .
They CURSE, talk about their sexuality, & them being like all the fuckboys, & not caring . Even though they are girls, & expected to be sensible, put together, demure, & allergic to drinking & smoking.
They said in various ways, that they will do & behave like what THEY want. NOT what society wants them to do & behave.
