@@Rosiepoop in one of their earlier reviews, they mentioned that they don't know the girls' names yet. And that gave me a feeling that they will be knowing them personally soon, well hopefully. I think they decided to just view all their MVs first, if you will notice they wear the same clothes for most of their MV reactions for BP so they recorded it on the same day, kind of marathon. If they don't react on their personal stories, then it will be okay, We can't force them. I am just glad they have known them and reacted to all their MVs and songs in the album and they genuinely appreciate their music 😉

I've watched so many different reactors but these guys have the best balance between analysis and "hype" and also good chemistry between members. Also they don't seem biased against anything and open to looking at new things without stereotypes so they're the best
Whistle is the song that shot them to the top in Korea. They got a perfect all-Kill with it, and this song got them their record breaking fastest award show win in KPOP history. They won with Whistle only 13 days after they debuted. A record that still stands today. 🔥 Oh, almost forgot, their company, YG, didn’t want this song as one of their two debut tracks as they considered it too minimalistic. But the girls felt differently and they got what they wanted and the rest is history.
Just an info that I think you should also know, as per their Netflix documentary they said that they were supposed to NOT include Whistle as one of their debut songs (Boombayah is the other one), because many were against it telling the song was too risky since it was different and people might not like it. Funnily enough, this was the song that caught my attention. They were blowing up everywhere when they performed at Coachella, so I played the whole live performance in the background while making my thesis. I had to alt-tab and search for the title and listen to the studio version. This song is so unique and catchy!!
Just my own opinion : Whistle is the song that made the world sit up and take notice of BlackPink. It showed a level of sophistication and nuance that was world class and unique. Doing high energy hype songs is common-place but Whistle was elegant and charming and showed that BlackPink was capable of a wide spectrum of songs and not just a one trick pony.

If you’re impressed with the production it’s done by Teddy (Teddy Park). He has produced or arranged every BLACKPINK song since they came out in 2016. He is basically the 5th member of the group. When Gaga first came out she really wanted to work with him but never got to until the collab with BLACKPINK on Sour Candy. He has been producing for YG forever and produced the songs for the previous YG girl group 2NE1, check out their song “I am the best”. Another good one by Teddy is CL “Hello Bitches” she was the lead songwriter and rapper for the group and has a comeback coming Oct 29th, she just signed with a new label. Anyways keep up the reactions, love the commentary you guys give and actually trying to understand the symbolism and lyrics even though it’s in a different language.

@@Rosiepoop in one of their earlier reviews, they mentioned that they don't know the girls' names yet. And that gave me a feeling that they will be knowing them personally soon, well hopefully. I think they decided to just view all their MVs first, if you will notice they wear the same clothes for most of their MV reactions for BP so they recorded it on the same day, kind of marathon. If they don't react on their personal stories, then it will be okay, We can't force them. I am just glad they have known them and reacted to all their MVs and songs in the album and they genuinely appreciate their music 😉

Just an info that I think you should also know, as per their Netflix documentary they said that they were supposed to NOT include Whistle as one of their debut songs (Boombayah is the other one), because many were against it telling the song was too risky since it was different and people might not like it. But they pushed through with it anyways and surprised that it got them to places as a newly debuted group.

If you’re impressed with the production it’s done by Teddy (Teddy Park). He has produced or arranged every BLACKPINK song since they came out in 2016. He is basically the 5th member of the group. When Gaga first came out she really wanted to work with him but never got to until the collab with BLACKPINK on Sour Candy. He has been producing for YG forever and produced the songs for the previous YG girl group 2NE1, check out their song “I am the best”. Another good one by Teddy is CL “Hello Bitches” she was the lead songwriter and rapper for the group and has a comeback coming Oct 29th, she just signed with a new label. Anyways keep up the reactions, love the commentary you guys give and actually trying to understand the symbolism and lyrics even though it’s in a different language.
