LOVE THIS VIDEO OF THIS VERY HEALTHY MEAL - USUALLY EAT PROTEIN W/VEGETABLES FOR DINNER, SO LESS LIKELY TO MAKE RICE OR PASTA FOR DINNER. SO VERY HAPPY TO VIEW THIS VIDEO.
Hey, James, this is a great recipe! I don't own the Ninja Speedi, so, I decided to use my Ninja Smart XL Grill. I added a cup of Chicken Broth into the Cooking Pot (for more flavor) --- placed the Crisper Basket. Then added Carrots --- Cauliflower --- Broccoli --- Red Peppers -- Salmon. Cooked on bake setting 350 degrees for 10 mins, it was perfect. I used regular Chinese Chili Sauce, added Honey to it, and dressed the vegetables, the taste was fantastic! It was a hit with my family. Thanks for the recipe.
OMG James, I just came across your channel for the Ninja Speedi recipes. I've wrote all ingredients and cooking instructions down. I am so very, very impressed with your presentations from start to finish. Can't wait to try each one of your recipes for the Speedi. Kudos to you for a job well done. Keep them coming and I am forever a fan/follower of yours. God bless you. You rock!!!
Hello James Great Recipe!!!! My Husband was very lucky and I like it too. Salmon and Brokkoli hast been very delicious with sweet Chili Sauce.😊 Thanks and greetings from Germany Kerstin
Hey James, something I do with me sweet chili sauce is warm it up in the microwave. Get it between warm and hot, then pour it on my vegetables. This way, the sauce doesn't cool the vegetables down any.
Just got some fresh salmon from one of the neighbors and will have to give this a try. I LOVE chili sauce and never thought to put it on my veggies. What a great recipe!
This meal looked absolutely delicious. I love it when something so good can be accomplished so easily! I will be heading to the store to find some sweet chili sauce as soon as possible! Another great recipe. Thank you!
Love your channel James. Who knew to cook fish and veggies like this. How can I adapt this receipt for flounder or tilapia? I'm not a big fan of salmon. Thanks!
Hi James! I want to order a Speedi so bad! I love my kitchen gadgets and gismos. I"m hoping the price will drop a little over the holidays. For now I'm soaking up all your recipes, keep them coming! Take care!
Hi Jeanne...Speedi is on sale right now at BB&Beyond..from $199(there) to $119. It's Nov 23-Wed....I got mine delivered...up and running within 24 hrs !
Hi James! I am so excited to see your video. I love the Speedi but I need a low carb diet. Would you recommend your approach with other meat/veggie combos (no grains). Thanks!
Looks delicious. I always put some cayenne or slap ya mama seasonings on my salmon along with what you did. We like alittle kick. But I had not thought about sweet chili sauce so that is going on my grocery list. Thanks James
Just made this today. To my utterly pleased surprise, it came out perfect the first time. I had a 1.5 pound salmon fillet, which I cut into four portions before seasoning, and I used "Slap Ya Mama" Cajun seasoning plus garlic powder. One floweret of cauliflower came out slightly burnt. I wonder if putting a quarter cup of water in at the beginning would avoid that?
James, I love watching your videos! To the point and no gibberish. But…….I never saw this appliance, another one I have to check out. I have no more room, plus Wifey is discouraging me……..lol! I have a couple of those bottles of Sweet chili sauce, as I also do Asian cooking. Well done!
Peppers. I always see people halving them first. So much hassle. Cut the head off, cut the base off, slit down inside the 3 stem parts. Place above waste bin, large side down. The seeds and white bits just simply drop out. Then you can trim/cut the various parts as needed. This is far quicker and easier imo.
Hi James, tried this tonight with salmon & yellow squash and the time never showed, only the little lines, my salmon was basically poached. Not keen on that setting or else I just don't understand how it is supposed to work. I favor the settings under the Air Fryer side.
Newby here! This is only my 2nd time using the Speedi. I did exactly like the video, salmon was fine at 7 minutes, very moist. But the veggies were mush. I used a whole cauliflower and a whole broccoli and red pepper. Does anyone know what I should do next time?
How spicy is the sweet chili sauce? I don't mind a little heat, but not so much that you can't taste the rest of your meal. Other than that, the plate looks quite fine!
I tried this with everything set exactly as described and it came out Way Overcooked. I checked the salmon at 6 minutes and it was already at 190 and very dry. The vegetables were also overcooked and soft. I am at high altitude and the salmon steaks were thinner than yours. I am not sure how the Steam and Bake Cycle works, would using less water shorten the steam cycle? Should I set a lower temp? I really like the recipe but the settings did not work for me in Denver.
I am not sure. I’ve done this twice exactly the same way. The first time I only did it for 7 minutes which was better. I’m not sure my friend. So are you sure sure you used the right settings
@@CookinWithJames I am pretty certain, your instructions are clear, but I will view it again. I had not used the Steam and Bake cycle before but the steam part (before the timer starts) took a very long time (it felt like more than 10 minutes). There was no water below the tray when it was finished. I will try it again, using maybe 1/2 cup water, because it is a really healthful, easy, and potentially delicious recipe. I hope you feature more Speedi recipes with low or slow carbs.
@@CookinWithJames Follow Up, I love the recipe and cooked it again, careful to follow exact instructions, with thicker fillets, and monitoring with a thermometer. Everything was fully cooked during the steam phase (before the countdown even started). Salmon about 130 (how I like it). I have no explanation for this. Perhaps the altitude, or perhaps it is influenced by my opening the top during steaming? Everything turned out really great, but just steamed. I do not think there is a way to adjust the steam phase within the steam/bake program. I love the Thai Chili Sauce, I had not tried it before. This time I added some Spicy Chili Crisp to it for a bit more heat. Excellent!
I don’t understand this. You said Steam and Bake. My timer never came on after 15 minutes so we opened the lid and our fish was done. One pound, 153°. If we waited for the timer it would’ve been so overdone! It was delicious though!
Maybe you should redo this video and explain to use the steam and crisp function. I could’ve lost my entire salmon meal had I not known to check it even before the timer started. Just sayin’
Looks lovely. I'm doing mine with new potatoes, broccoli and asparagus.

Thanks. Yes use the steam and crisp function with 2 tbsp of water

Did you cook it whole 15 mnt or just 7?
7. And use the steam and crisp function instead of steam and bake

Does it release steam out the top whilst cooking?
Yes

I didn't take it off. When u cook this....use the STEAM AND CRISP FUNCTION....NOT THE STEAM AND BAKE
