    Personal protection devices commonly known as powerheads come in a variety of styles. Common powerheads used are disposable plastic slip on, re-usable metal slip on, and screw on models with firing pin action. Each has a specific use and pricepoint to meet the protection needs of the diver. Powerheads are commonly used for killing large fish and for protection from even larger predators. At Speargods we got your back! We have an excellent variety of custom made powerheads that can only be found in our shop. Powerheads used in this video are linked below.

    Can u use 7.62 x 51? Any other caliber in the slip on style such as .44, .223, etc? Thanks

    • @speargods

      Powerheads are caliber specific

      Most of them are made to accept a specific caliber but its possible that a different round will fit one

    Are these power heads the same as gun shots. Do they require any legal frame work to carry them?

    • @richtaylor2599
      @richtaylor2599 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The type with firing pins carry some legal stipulations but the type with no firing pin (that use your shaft as the firing pin) have no legal issues.

      our reuseable and disposable Personal Protection Devices do not have a firing pin so they are perfectly legal and safe until they go on the end of a shaft.
      the shaft becomes the firing pin once you shoot something

    Mount these to fpv drones for hunting when the government won't allow firearms licence

      Stay with a 38 Spcl/357 Mag easy to obtain and more than powerfull for any fish, even goliat/jew fish, you are suposed to hit them in the head and at close rage, otherwise it will swim away, Check Dan MacMahon plenty videos using powerheads

    762x54R??? What the hell would you use that on?? A fucking shark with IIIA body armor???

    • @VanDaRifleman
      @VanDaRifleman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would use it on any shark, especially one large and aggressive enough to eat a human. My big game gun is a Savage 116 Weather Warrior chambered in .30-06, and it can take the largest terrestrial animals in North America with the correct loadings and accurate vital organ hits. 7.62x54R is slightly less powerful than numerous .30-06 loadings, but 7.62x54R is both a powerful and affordable cartridge, whether steel-cased or brass-cased. Keep in mind, this bullet has almost no time to accelerate in basically an unrifled snubnosed barrel of a powerhead, so the higher the bullet mass, the higher the pressure, and the higher the gas volume, the better. I would want as much of that as I can handle if I am in man-eating shark-infested water.

      @@VanDaRifleman Well, If you shoot a whale you might need a 12Ga or a 30-06, but if you hit any sized fish in the head with a 38 or 357 mag powerhead, it's done, unlike a wounded big bear or buffalo that will still come after you, you hit a shark anywere and it's gone. Mind, I spearfish and have shot and seen plenty shark plus hunt with a 30-06, 12 Ga etc, on land

      These do not work like you think.
      The bullet is right at the end of the barrel so there is so little pressure that the bullet rarely exits the fish and the bullet has zero distortion.
      It’s the pressure from the powder explosion that does the damage.
