    HI- we have a batch of these on sale for Christmas time over on e-bay: www.ebay.com/i... will get you there. Thanks!
    9-26-17
    Thanks to everyone who sent kind wishes during my recent health issues! I appreciate it. Things are much brighter right now and we have been doing some new things. One of these is a redesign of the HP tool. The tool now features a 1 piece body instead of two. This makes things MUCH more precise and accurate. We also now include 3 punches standard - The regular HP, one we call "The Wedge" which creates a HUGE HP tip, and a special flat nose punch that can make anything from a slight flat tip to a virtual wadcutter! I hope to do an updated vid soon - We have these available for sale, just e-mail for details: jksswage@yahoo.com
    BTW - the run 90 bucks plus 7.15 flat rate in the USA.

    I figured out another real good use for this tool. I put my 223 projectiles in it and it not only gives me a devastating HP. But it also makes all the castings a perfect .226 in diameter AND a consistent OAL with in a half thousand. I went on eBay and I was looking to pick up another one. Are you still making these????

    • @evilcowboy
      @evilcowboy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn't use it on ammo that has a match grade chamber. I ream match grade chambers and they have a taper at the end and the bullet is pressed into the taper making a nice seal. As he said it does cause the tip to swedge out this would more than likely cause feeding issues and the bullet may not seat itself home due to the slightly larger diameter made by using this tool. It would probably make a match barrel unable to go into full battery.
      Thats not to discourage you from buying it. He did make a really cool tool and for most sporting chambers the diameter is wide enough to accommodate the bullets you make using this tool. The SAAMI standard for the PTG Match.22lr chamber is 1-30 degree angle where the bullet is its smallest (the tip), the top of where the casing sits diameter is .2256, the base of where the casing sits is .2269, the length of where the casing itself sits is .630. So if you measure the diameter of the bullet made with this tool and it is less than or equal to .2256 then it could work but it is unlikely because that is the area that also has the 1-30 degree angle and by having the bullet swedge out it interrupts that angle.

    What keeps this from pushing the bullet down into the casing and compressing the powder? Thats one of my concerns after seeing this...

    • @jksswage1153
      @jksswage1153  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Several things, but first and foremost 22 LR bullets are heeled. They CANNOT be pushed back. The base is inside the case and the top half is outside the exterior diameter. Second 22lr bullets are SOFT to the extreme. You can use this tool with just finger pressure if your thumb is strong enough@! Although it gets tiring. Just never enough pressure to over come crimp anyhow.

      I have a Lee Classic Turret press (that I index manually). Is it possible to rig this up to work with the Lee as a press? I don't have a drill press setup like yours...

    • @jksswage1153
      @jksswage1153  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, i think so. If this is the press that uses regular shell holders in the ram, and the turret head rotates - I make a set up with two "anvils" And a Gizzy. One anvil snaps in like a shell holder. the other screws in under the head effectively creating a very light duty arbor press. It is low leverage,but this thing does not require but a few pounds of pressure. I have one of these on hand. I had it listed for a while. I can re-list if you like. You can also e-mail me at jksswage@yahoo.com about this.

    Any chance you happen to make this tool in 25auto??

  • @minerblue9641
    @minerblue9641 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Correct me if I'm wrong but, it seems to me like there's a chance of pressing the bullet deeper into the case liked this. There by increasing the chamber pressure.
    Does anyone have any info on this?

    • @DaveSmith-cp5kj
      @DaveSmith-cp5kj 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      22lr is a heeled bullet, the bullet rests on the rim of the case, preventing setback. That being said, setback really doesn't increase pressures by much. It is mostly a concern in max handloads.

    Ahhh, wouldn't you just buy hollow point 22lr? I'm mean they are cheap! Use your round nose to target practice. Where's the logic here?

    • @johnharvey4911
      @johnharvey4911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Three significant things; First the bullets are also swaged up slightly in diameter and greatly increased in uniformity, meaning better accuracy. Second, hollowpoints basically come in one configuration this die will create a number of different options many of which can drastically improve terminal performance. And MOST IMPORTANT, what do ya do when hollow points ARE NOT available over the counter - which thanks to shortages, hoarding and the left, has been a significant reality for much of the past 4 years, and really for a great deal of time n and off going back to 2008.
