Best shot placement for spearfishing
มุมมอง 6K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This short video describes the best shot placement when spearfishing for a quick kill. Killing fish quickly will keep sharks away and it will keep other fish around when a fish rolls over dead because the other fish are not alarmed.

Best features in a spearfishing flashlight
มุมมอง 5K5 ปีที่แล้ว
The features I like most a spearfishing flashlight after spearfishing for 25 years. 1. Small 2. Inexpensive- Dive lights are consumables 3.Tough- Aluminum or steel frame 4. Regular batteries (aa or aaa batts) NO rechargeable batts 5. Strong beam that has a bright inner core and a dimmer outer core Speargods.com

Thank you. I think…
Thanks for the info, can you tell me the Brand and model of that light thanks.
There should be nothing controversial about Power Heads if they are being used against a shark properly, in self defense. Power Heads are great👍
Great information! Thank you.
Sir if i order that how mich.size of 45.. I am a diver to spearfishing ... I want to use that im from philipines i am no rich guy.i only want to use that...
Stay with a 38 Spcl/357 Mag easy to obtain and more than powerfull for any fish, even goliat/jew fish, you are suposed to hit them in the head and at close rage, otherwise it will swim away, Check Dan MacMahon plenty videos using powerheads
Heard ya
RICH we need more videos !!!
So one can run this shaft on a biller special with no modifications to the gun itself?
Minor mod consisting of a screw and a ring holder need to be attached to the bottom of the gun in order to store the shooting line in either the stowed position or the deployed position.
Thank you for the good advice. Safe Diving. 🇺🇲 👌🏼
Thank you for the great information. 🇺🇲👍🏻
Thanks Rich. Great video about the pros and cons with enclosed tracks.
Hello Rich...I also owned a Billar, "Floridian" do you know which custome muzzle Dan is using on his Billar? I would like to know so I can add a Divelight to it...thank you
its a custom made muzzle that Dan uses. we have kill spikes that can be attached to gun on our website as well as flashlight adapter for spare shaft or kill spike
Hi thanks for the video. I am wondering, what type of speargun head or speargun would I need to carry more than one shaft?
you can carry a spare shaft on virtually any wood gun. we have spare shaft holders as well as speargun butts that hold spare shafts.
Are these power heads the same as gun shots. Do they require any legal frame work to carry them?
The type with firing pins carry some legal stipulations but the type with no firing pin (that use your shaft as the firing pin) have no legal issues.
our reuseable and disposable Personal Protection Devices do not have a firing pin so they are perfectly legal and safe until they go on the end of a shaft. the shaft becomes the firing pin once you shoot something
Hey, Rich my dad showed me your channel and been watching your videos
Hey, thanks
Mount these to fpv drones for hunting when the government won't allow firearms licence
I will Give it a shot . Some yellow tails have really small scale. Yes cheek bone .Thanks.
This is the kind of speargun that used by Dan McMahon isn't it?
It is similar but not the same. Dan uses a biller speargun body with a custom trigger, custom muzzle, and custom made shafts.
Thank you very much for your advice on how to face the shark when spearfishing, Rich... I've heard lots of advices but yours are logically acceptalbe... I consider to have one of those gears...
Hi Rich, a quick question, what if you heat it to much and soften the steel, how do you get it back to the ideal strength???
you cant
762x54R??? What the hell would you use that on?? A fucking shark with IIIA body armor???
You would use it on any shark, especially one large and aggressive enough to eat a human. My big game gun is a Savage 116 Weather Warrior chambered in .30-06, and it can take the largest terrestrial animals in North America with the correct loadings and accurate vital organ hits. 7.62x54R is slightly less powerful than numerous .30-06 loadings, but 7.62x54R is both a powerful and affordable cartridge, whether steel-cased or brass-cased. Keep in mind, this bullet has almost no time to accelerate in basically an unrifled snubnosed barrel of a powerhead, so the higher the bullet mass, the higher the pressure, and the higher the gas volume, the better. I would want as much of that as I can handle if I am in man-eating shark-infested water.
@@VanDaRifleman Well, If you shoot a whale you might need a 12Ga or a 30-06, but if you hit any sized fish in the head with a 38 or 357 mag powerhead, it's done, unlike a wounded big bear or buffalo that will still come after you, you hit a shark anywere and it's gone. Mind, I spearfish and have shot and seen plenty shark plus hunt with a 30-06, 12 Ga etc, on land
These do not work like you think. The bullet is right at the end of the barrel so there is so little pressure that the bullet rarely exits the fish and the bullet has zero distortion. It’s the pressure from the powder explosion that does the damage.
Hi sir I have question about how to prepare the ammo before using in the powerhead to best result!?

I’m looking to buy as soon as possible. Thanks man. Also, thanks for your patience i. The store with a super noob
So when we take the shots does the sea current matters or not? And how to take best shots when there is sea currents? Sorry for my bad English
Hi can you please tell me the name small little thing you sawed in this video please
Can u use 7.62 x 51? Any other caliber in the slip on style such as .44, .223, etc? Thanks
Powerheads are caliber specific
Most of them are made to accept a specific caliber but its possible that a different round will fit one
What's name the company made that flashlight I want paying one of this flashlight
Very informative and to the point. As always you have a great way of delivering the message. I really enjoyed your store and the variety of stuff that you carry. Best wishes and great success.
I like this. In addition I feel it's good to add that the fish does not suffer if you can get it in that place. Does not rip itself off and die regardless.
Great information......
Thank you
Thanks For this! How Do you get so good at editing? I really want To be friends xo

i lost a big bluefish because of an un tuned flopper. Thanks for your video about tuning floppers.

What distance between the two loading shark fin tabs do you recommend/you have in the shaft you are using in the video? Also, how far is the "rest" fin tab from the shaft end?
Distance between tabs is not as important as how far back they are. Remember, we are going for max stretch. The shafts I recommend are Spearcrafters brand shafts. They are the straightest and strongest Stainless steel shafts on the market and designed for max band stretch. Spearcrafters can put rest fins at various distances but rest fins should be anywhere you can hip load to rest tab and then chest load to rear tabs. I believe the one in the vid is at 19" from rear.
@@speargods Thank you for your help.
Thanks, I really appreciate the straight forward, thorough, and easy to understand nature of your videos.
super helpful video! Thanks
How the f#%k do you tune a double flopper non-offset? Ive been researching for over a year and no luck.
Great vid, as a side note, dull shafts also bruise the meat worse on impact so if you have a farther shot and don't hit the sweet spot you could affect your yield as well.
what is the brand of the flashlight
