Same! I remember suggestions like lemon juice for antibacterial use, it burned the skin on my face so bad!! I had no clue it would also make me more photo sensitive: Or harsh scrubs. It’s the reason the adapelene that should have helped my acne didn’t because I was using so many harsh scrubs, no sunscreen or good moisturizers 😩 I’m glad people don’t have to go through so much of that trial and error, especially with truly damaging products!

Hey Dr Dray, empty toilet paper rolls can be used to organize your cords. Just fold up the cord and slip it in the roll. You can even use a marker or stickers to label them! My mom was the queen of re-using stuff like that. :)
I finally found the Aveeno oat gel moisturizer at Target last month, and it has been wonderful for my skin!! So good for the winter, and I like how you don't need much to feel the hydration. Thank you for the great recommendation, Dr. Dray!! 🤗🙌🏼

My favorite moisturizer is Cerave Renewing night cream. I feel like that cream is so healing and it's had a significant impact on the way my skin feels. Haven't tried the Aveeno oat one yet but I think for day it looks nice.
Yes! I love the Cerave Skin Renewing night cream! I have sensitive skin with rosacea and this cream has really helped my skin. I also use tretinoin and it has helped with irritation.
I know this is old, but I use one of those mesh strainers you can buy, that fit into your sink, like kitchen sink. I place them upside down over my shower drain, and it catches the hair that way. Then after every shower I just dispose of the hair on top of it that it catches. Fixed any hair problem I had and haven't had an issue since I started using them. I love them for that purpose, as well as for in my kitchen sink for catching small food particles left on plates and such. They work better to catch stuff than the ones that come in the sink.
Would you consider doing a video on how to prevent under eye skin from thinning? I’ve had under eye veins that were not visible before appear in the past few years. You look beautiful btw! ❤️

I'm with you, I can't stand the sight of hair from a drain, it makes me feel like I'll be sick. I can't. I always use the hair catcher you can buy in the supermarket, it's plastic and has a mesh dome that's very fine so it catches everything, and seeing the hair immediately on top is not nauseating to me, I just throw it away as I'm washing my hair.
Target now sells the Aveeno Calm + Restore line of skincare. :) This must have been filmed before the 'coffee mug disaster'. I'm glad you weren't hurt from the hot coffee. :)
The FoB products are customizable with those booster shots. Apparently you choose the base you want and then customize with the shots. Probably not as specific as ordering yourself, but it’s something.

I have the same bathtub stopper as you in my apartment as well. If you want to use a hair stopper you’re gonna have to unscrew the bathtub stopper in order to put the hair stopper in. Maintenance had to unscrew mine because they’re kind of hard to get out and the same might go for you too. Have a great day!
I tried using the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream on my face, and it caused milia, which I never get. I have normal to dry skin (slightly oily t-zone). I love it for the body (I buy it all the time!), but not for my face. Other people use it on their face and love it. I've also tried the CeraVe PM, and it irritated my skin. Some creams work for some, but don't work for others. Everyone's skin is different. You don't know until you try it what is going to work for YOU.
I switched out cerave cream for aveeno eczema therapy (both on my face and hands) and I am getting even better results with the aveeno. The only thing is it's a little sticky and it doesn't do well with sunscreen, but the oats are amazing.
For the shower drain, you can remove the plug by unscrewing it, and then a hair catcher will be able to sit in that spot. I like the 'OXO Good Grips Bathtub Drain Protector' because it sits on top so the hair doesn't even create that icky hairball. It's definitely worth the convenience. I don't recommend the TubShroom though because it can cause the water to drain too slow, even when it's completely clean.

Hi Andrea, I removed the "bubble" from the drain, since I take just showers and I placed this on top: "Bath Tub Drain Protector Gray - OXO". I bought it at Target and it's the best thing I could find. In the past I used the cheap ones, but the hair passed through. This one has a silicone ring and it will catch most of the hair. There are few sizes.
There are plastic rods with hooks, they are very flexible and you could use that to take out the hair even with the “cap” over it, just make sure the cap isn’t all the way down. You could also unscrew the cap and then use something like the “catcher”.
I don't use any of the products that Dr Dray uses, but I got excited when I see her shopping at Target! I totally recommend that you visit Target if you are seeking skincare products and hair products for eczema and sensitive dry skin. They sell a huge variety of brands that tailor to this skin type and at an affordable price. I like Walmart but they don't sell many brands that are available at target. Whole foods is ok but prices are too expensive there for me.
They have a hair catcher. on Amazon it fits over the shower top not an insert, it's by OXO, have one and it works great. It's grey with silver on top, slightly weighted so it does not move from water pressure.

for you to put a hair trap/catcher (whatever they're called) in your shower drain, you need to take out the current shower plug, and replace it with a trap/catcher. that's what my husband did for ours. you can probably ask the maintenance guy how to remove the original one

Dr Dray, the brand oxo has drain hair catchers for your type of drain. It is just a silicon mound with holes that sits over the drain. We have one and it works well! Got it at target!

The shower hair catch that I use has sort of a bubble covering so I don't think there will be a problem, it's not a flat drain cover and there are so many to choose from. I found mine at Walmart. Hair gets under anyway so I find myself using the baking soda and water to unstop the drain from time to time. Just something we've got to do! :-) which dress did you get? They were all very pretty!

For those who can’t afford products with astaxanthin, I found a website called Skin Actives that sells their own formulated skin care as well as DIY ingredients and they sell a large tube of Astaxanthin in Argan Oil for $6.99. (!!!) It can be mixed in any oil-based cream or lotion or used by itself, but they warn you that if you use it undiluted it may discolor your skin. I’ve been very curious about astaxanthin, but every product that I’ve seen with a significant amount of it has been out of my budget so I recently got it and will mix it with my next jar of Hadauru cream.

It's finally starting to heal a bit (vaseline and panthenol ointment), but would love to hear what Andrea has to say, maybe like an updated video. I also blame face masks, too. For me personally, any moisturizer with petrolatum in it I stay away from around the eyes. I tend to get millia if I do.

I think it is just your preference. I'm sticking with cerave and vanicream bc I have dry skin, live in the cold northeast and I'm using tretinoin.

I love the Kristen Ess fragrance free shampoo and conditioner. By far the best fragrance free hair products I have tried.

I use a product which you just pour into the drain and and then follow up with hot water. It ""burns" all the hair and cleans the drain perfectly

Love a Dr Dray vlog! I can't handle hair clogs either ech. I've been using enzyme drain sticks. They're super thin and just drop a new stick down once a month - keeps my shower drain running!
Dr Dray, the brand oxo has drain hair catchers for your type of drain. It is just a silicon mound with holes that sits over the drain. We have one and it works well! Got it at target!
Hope you and everyone had a happy Valentine's Day oh, yes I know I'm late is actually the 15th now. The shower hair catch that I use has sort of a bubble covering so I don't think there will be a problem, it's not a flat drain cover and there are so many to choose from. I found mine at Walmart. Hair gets under anyway so I find myself using the baking soda and water to unstop the drain from time to time. Just something we've got to do! :-) which dress did you get? They were all very pretty!

I’m planning to use active ingredients and before doing that i’m looking for strong moisturizers to protect my skin and deeply hydrate
For those who can’t afford products with astaxanthin, I found a website called Skin Actives that sells their own formulated skin care as well as DIY ingredients and they sell a large tube of Astaxanthin in Argan Oil for $6.99. (!!!) It can be mixed in any oil-based cream or lotion or used by itself, but they warn you that if you use it undiluted it may discolor your skin. I’ve been very curious about astaxanthin, but every product that I’ve seen with a significant amount of it has been out of my budget so I recently got it and will mix it with my next jar of Hadauru cream.

@@db-gb5xi I have, but nothing there actually helped me as far as advice goes. I've been dealing with contact dermatitis for months now. It's finally starting to heal a bit (vaseline and panthenol ointment), but would love to hear what Andrea has to say, maybe like an updated video. I also blame face masks, too. I wore contacts, but can't wear them atm, so I can't not wear glasses.
