Happy Saturday Dr. Dray 🌷and everyone watching! Enjoy😊
Libraries, mysteries, bears, toys, candles & ornaments- luv this vlog! I remember both Walden’s and Pickwick! 🥰 📚
Hi Dr Dray,
Being a Librarian, I got really happy when you stopped at the Library. Yay!!
The latest book I read and really enjoyed was “The Air raid Book Club” by Annie Lyons. It’s set in London during WW II. I just loved it.
I agree with A Child called it. So devastating.
Btw, love your posts.
Library and books. Love when she features those two things 🙌🏻
YES! Please test the LRP one with the CeraVe "oil" cleanser! I would love that! Thank you so much! :)
Dr. Dray’s brunette hair & style, pale pink glasses, and adorable burgundy top are so flattering, warm and autumnal. We don’t have a Randall’s here, but, boy, I wish I we’re Christmas shopping with Dr. Dray. Cheers
She does look so pretty!
I did read "A Child Called It" and went to a lecture given by its author. Horrifying and amazing that he made it out of that childhood alive.
I read that as a child and it shook tf out of me 😳
Just in time for another fun video - I just made a nice cup of my beloved Typhoo tea 🫖 Those light up lanterns are adorable, so cute 🥰 Those flowers are so pretty giving a smile to everyone 🌺 Take care everyone 🌹
What happened to Tybee 🐶
I enjoy watching this while knitting. It’s so relaxing and makes me feel accompanied. By the way, you look great in those glasses!
You got me so tickled when you were talking & laughing about your doll that got a suntan! Thanks for a great video! 🥰
14:52 😍
For washing my face: Adding the matching wrist cuffs to my headband was game changing for me. I previously would not like washing my face because I’d hate the water dripping down my arms to the elbow. Can’t stand the sensation! Plus the mess!
Now with the wrist cuffs in my life I’m way more willing to do this task and even enjoy it.
I’ve even moved to having two sets in the bathroom for the week: alternating each day in case they were wet from the previous.
I agree!
I found these cute Headband & Wrist bands at Winners - the wrist bands really do keep the water from dripping down 😊
Someone suggested scrunchies!
Hi Dr Dray so excited to be here for a Saturday vlog Happy Saturday I live for this❤
Morning!
Greetings David Shabas hope u r well n Happy Saturday😀👍💜….
@@DrDrayzday ❤
@@whitneybrown4067 Happy Saturday Whitney👍
Cozy mysteries! You've been bitten by the cozy bug! LOL Fun, soothing, escapes! My faves include the very funny series from Laura Levine (Jaine Austen is a freelance writer in LA with a cat named Prozac) and Vivien Chien (Lana Lee runs her family's Chinese restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio.) So many choices!
OMG! When you said cabbage patch kid I remembered the tan lines one I had too! Her name was Erika and I loved it 😊 thanks for that memory
I read A Boy Called It. It was really tough but also inspiring. I love stories of people, animals overcoming incredibly tough traumas. I am glad you picked a light read. The world is super tough so I think a light read is good for the mind. Also, I am loosing lots of hair and you encouraged a Derm visit. Well, I finally went this week. She biopsied my scalp to see what is going on. She thinks it may be because I had a very serious case of shingles on my arm for three months. Yes, I had the vaccine but I have a genetic immune deficiency so I didn’t produce antibodies. Hope you have a relaxing weekend and a happy Halloween if you partake.
Did the vaccine give you shingles?
You are so funny about the fridge organizing! I have never understood why people buy containers (i.e., empty boxes) just to organize food products that come in boxes. Boxes in boxes in boxes..... nothing against it, but I would rather spend my money on skin care!
Aesthetics. I love watching those videos but would never do that irl 😅
As a child I was really into the Ramona and Beezus books, as well as The Babysitters Club, Sweet Valley High, and the Fear Street series. Good times.
I loved The babysitters Club tv series from the 90's.
Happy Saturday! Been awhile since I’ve been able to view an early dr dray vlog. Happy Saturday and sending everyone well wishes ❤️
Morning!
Greetings Dr Dray and everyone! I'm trusting that everyone is doing well and having a wonderful day!😊
Happy Saturday
I think it is so cool you are at the library reading paper books!
I loved reading as a child too. The first real book I remember reading was Helen Keller in fifth grade.
I use to like dark books too years ago. Patricia Cornwall.
I was not into baby dolls either.
I enjoyed this episode listening to your childhood.
Happy Saturday everyone! - Dr. Dray u can just get some cheap microfiber wristbands to get rid of the drips :) been a game changer for my cleansing routine!
I love the ordinary barrier serum! I’ve seen what this can do when I used a product that gave me an itchy rash, my normal serums were stinging so I washed it all off and applied the pink one and there was no stinging & after about two hours the rash was almost gone plus the itchiness subsided immediately. I also really love the texture! But I did find that on damp skin it caused pilling, so I just use it on dry.
I really want to try it for my eczema itch! ❤
Thank you for sharing your day with us. I find your shopping trips and skincare routines so relaxing. Your energy is good 👍
This is making me want to light a room of fall/Christmas candles🎄🕯 Enjoyable video!! ☕️
Hi Uncle Charlie! Or should I just call you Charlie since you changed your user name? Either way, Happy Saturday! I hope you had a wonderful day. I know what you mean about Christmas candles. I'm heading to TJ Maxx tomorrow specifically to check out the Christmas candle scents. Which I will be using way before Christmas. Lol! (I'm still loving Fall! 🍁) It was 83 degrees here today. 😳Enjoy your weekend. Peace, joy and many blessings to you always. 🎄🙏🎄🕊🎄☕
My sisters call me that so i changed it! The cool weather is coming Monday will be great! Have a nice weekend and thanks!!! God bless! I need to eat!@@marylawman8603
You are so lovely. Enjoy the Teddy bear read/listen. Thanks as always Dr Dray. 🌷
Am I the only one that wakes up and rush to yt to watch the last video of dr dray!! You make my mornings awsome, love to hear your voice while i prepare to start my day!! Love from mexico
I also loved the Nancy Drew mystery books! She was such a good role model. Also, that vampire in the globe decoration looked like he was begging you to let him out🧛♂
I love this episode so much!
Yes, please try out & compare the La Roche Posay oil cleanser & the Cerave Foaming Oil Cleanser!
The car reminiscing stories are wonderful! 🎉🍁🙏
Love that plaid christmas hat, I would use that for a tree topper.
Yes, please try the La Roche Posay!
I'm currently using the LPS version, i use it on my face and for my kids as body wash. Its very mild and moisturizing for the entire family. Btw, peptobismol says hi 😂
❤ I love when you smile . And share your stories. You are always so serious in your videos. Smiles do suit you. lol does create mouth lines . Ahhh but smiles are good for the soul.
Gosh A Boy Called It, I read that book many many years ago, so horrific and heartbreaking it stayed with me a long time. Just you mentioning the book in this video has brought back parts of the story to me as if I read it yesterday 💔
Happy Saturday, Dr. Dray ❤
Love your glasses Doc!!
I started using the Ordinary Barrier serum a few days ago and I absolutely love it, so far.
I read "A Child Called It" and the sequel many years ago and saw the author interviewed on Oprah I think. A haunting book to be sure. So sad that people can treat their children so horribly. How hilarious that a dermatologist had a doll that could get a sun tan!! 😂Enjoyed the vlog and the fun shopping trip. Some of those skin care prices are a bit ridiculous. Yikes!!I know you can't control that pesky alarm in CVS. I just try to ignore it. Happy Saturday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a nice evening. 💟
I’m currently enjoying the audiobook for “Wintering” by Katherine May. Have a great week, Dr. Dray! 🌻☕️
Love these glasses on you. Looks great 👍🏼
So happy high waisted wide leg jeans are in! Hate low rise and skinny jeans
You need to read the Coffeehouse mysteries!! Such a fun and entertaining series! The main character owns a coffee shop!!! Cleo Coyle is the author.
“The Cat Who…..” murder mystery series by Lillian Jackson Braun! So good!!! I read every single one!
Just want to randomly thank Dr Dray for educating me about Petrolatum. It's full on winter here, with temps under 0 the last couple days. And my skin looks so good...honestly better than last week when it was in the 50s lol. I walk my dog 2-3x/day, and just a smidge of product (for me, the CVS dupe of aquaphor + aquaphor SPF lip balm) before I go outside has really worked to lock in all my good humectants! The crepe smoothing Gold Bond has quite a bit of petrolatum plus our beloved urea, I think I'll use that over sunscreen with ointment on my most vulnerable areas (cheeks). The Tarte juicy blush also has a lot of wax in it, I am hoping it's a good choice for Arctic days.
i love my wrist "sweat bands' for washing my face!
I love a good Cozy Mystery! There are good ones to listen to in TH-cam. I highly recommend.
Hi there Andrea🙃 thanks for another great video🌸🌼🌻🦋 Happy weekend everyone ☕️
The reaction when you read doctor Andrea the soap scents who does want to smell like that eww 😅😝 got laughing so hard 😂😂. A Christmas candle is always handy and mood lifting ❤ and a must these days with so much awful awful news. It was a nice heartwarming Vlog 😊❤ thanks miss Andrea a lot ❤.
I can't imaging smelling like beer, lol
@@DrDrayzday i know it makes me want to put a Clipper to close my nose 😂😅 if get whiff of someone smelling like that 😂.
Love your videos & find them so helpful with my breakouts that I’ve had since a teen. I’m 46 now and still battling it. Dang I thought it would be gone by now. Wishful thinking. It is time for a new book so I’ve downloaded “A Child Called It.” Just couldn’t resist & I’m starting to read it tonight. Thanks for the video you are amazing. ❤
It’s probably then about your food. Change something.
Have you tried salicylic acid cleanser in the am and gentle cleanser in pm? Gentle cleanser in pm really helped my acne
@@21972012145525 Hi thanks for your reply. I’ve switched from La Roche Effaclar (as I found it to be too stripping for my face- maybe from overuse) to La Roche Posay Toleraine, the Lipkar Baumé moisturizer, Stubborn acne or Benzagel spot treatment, and Cerave AM moisturizing lotion with sunscreen. Every other day I’ve been using Cerave resurfacing gel. Since switching to the more gentle Toleraine cleanser my face has cleared up a lot in the past few weeks.
Happy Saturday! I have missed you so much🤍
Yay! I love that you go to the library. You should see if they offer something called a "playaway". It's like a little mp3 player with the book on it. The Joanne Fluke audiobooks are good. They are cozy mysteries, like the teddy bear one you showed, but desserts. I kept watching & you showed them. You should try & read them in order.
Yes please to the LRP oil cleanser, though have'nt seen it yet in Oz. Have a good weekend😊
was watching an old vlog and i picked up the aveeno oat gel cream as per your recommendation. wow i absolutely love it already! i needed a new cream and that one checks all the boxes. thanks for your videos and amazing recommendations 🤍 have a safe and happy halloween everyone! 🎃
It's so $ and tiny!
I listen to 1 to 2 audiobooks per week. A couple of my favorites this year were The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, The Indigo Girl, Remarkably Bright Creatures and Lady Tans Circle of Women. So many books and so little time.
Happy Saturday guys xo
I use the La Roche-posay cleanser and love it. I have dry skins and is doesn’t make my skin tight.
Yes, please, review the La Roche-Posay oil cleanser.
I loved the entire A Child Called It series. It was so eye opening and sad but a must read
As a retired teacher, I read A Boy Called It after working in Special Ed for 10 yrs and hearing my student's stories.
I read Agatha Christie and Phyllis Whitney mysteries as a kid. My Mom read Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.
They closed a Target here in NY due to theft, mostly tide detergent.
Vlog day will warm me up! 💜💜💜
I'm so glad!
Don't know if you mean temperature wise but we're expecting 80 something degrees for half of this week and then the other half 50 something degrees exclamation point of course it would be the half when I have guests coming into town and we will be out and about a bit . I don't like to wear jackets or coats
@@sable7114 I do indeed mean temos- I am in Norther CA and suddenly it went from mid to high 70s to low 60s during the day and today dipped to 44 in the morning. It really kills me- my fibro is off the charts. I work out a lot and it helps. I also hate wearing jackets. Doesn't it just figure this is happening with your guests coming! However just be glad you probably wont have an earthquake- we had one last night OY!
Enjoy the vlogs Dr. Dray. Would love to see some meals during your vlog videos. I found the Cetaphil healthy renew cream at my local TJ MAXX.
Wow! That's surprising considering it's still a new product!
I love that Skin1004 Centella probiotic cica serum! Very hydrating; in texture it is similar to the Vichy probiotic concentrate, but you get more in the bottle at a similar price point.
Happy Saturday dr dray have a great day 😊 xx
Morning!
Happy Saturday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩🎃
Your Cabbage Patch Doll story is wild!!!😮😂 Here in Canada, because we're bilingual, my doll came with a bilingual "adoption form", with the English side listing her as "Bernice" and the French side as "Béatrice". No way could i deal with a doll named Bernice, so i flipped the form over to the French side!
Not all Canadians are bilingual.
@@JH-kw8zy My Cabbage Patch Doll was. 😉
I have also read A Child Called It, I may need to read again. I still remember learning what the word ‘regurgitate’ meant when reading that as a younger girl. It was intense.
I highly recommend reading Spare Changing for Trauma: I Could Be Your Daughter by April Graham. Only once you’ve recovered from A Child Called It!
Loved the audiobook Velvet is the Night.
Dr. Dray, could you please review Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50 PA+++? I use it over make up as reapplication during the day, it goes over seamlessly with minimal disruption to the make up.
Fun vid...I've used pod coffee in my French press often...just to try some unusual different flavors.. comes out great :}
Please test La Roche Posey oil face wash!
Really like your frames !
Happy 2M subs!
thank you!
Rita Mae Brown also has a lot of cat mysteries that are quite popular.
Andrea -- you can just use scrunchies on your wrists to keep that water from dripping down when you wash your face at the sink.
Book recommendation: A Girl Named Zippy (re growing up in Moorland, IN), by Haven Zimmel had me chuckling through each chapter.
White Oleander is one of my favorite books!
Lorna Barret , the booktown mysteries. That is a nice series, good easy reads.
I loved The Cat who books too!😂
Happy Saturday!!!!
You too!!
Thanx for the entertainment Andrea, you are so amusing.
Yes, I would like to see a comparison video please :)
Those glasses suit you, Dr Dray, and that hairstyle and the red shirt. You look so pretty 24:40 😍 Like an unassuming but pretty college student in a young adult romance movie lol
I have always loved your current charcoal waffle look headband! Do you still know where this was available? It suits you very well and it looks quite timeless. Happy weekend!
It is from Calia, but I don't think they make it any more
I do like cozy mystery books as well
Good morning Dr Dray ❤
Good morning Dr. Dray can you put on an acne patch when you have Retin A on your skin?
Can be more irritating under occlusion
Happy Saturday everyone ! My bet friend’s cousin worked at the Andes Candies factory in WI for almost 30 years ! She alway smelled like Chocolate Mint. 😂 Just kidding. 🤣 I used to love them ! A tanning Cabbage Patch doll ? Crazy !
The only TH-cam skin doctor I trust. You helped me with my adult acne breakouts. 😊
Same here ! My acne is gone ...she is the real deal.
WOW!!!Tanning Cabbage Patch Kids dolls??
I read a child called it in junior high. I really enjoyed it but definitely agree it is not a light read. It’s very dark but I tend to enjoy stuff like that. Not for the faint of heart for sure.
I just finished The Glass Castle. I was just going to suggest it, lol. So great.
I’m 40 yo and like to throw some YA and youth fiction into the mix sometimes for a light fun read too 😁
Happy Saturday 😀
Books I recommend: The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth, Carrie Soto is back by Taylor Jenkins, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab.
Hi Doc,
I tries some of the Ordinary products and also was not impressed.
Price point is good but if the products are not effective it still is a waste of money
I will not buy more.
😃❤️
Same here. I'll stick to my well formulated Paula's Choice.
A child called IT 😔😔😔 The fiirst book I ever fully read and was interested in as a chiiild. I believe all the signs were present as a child for me that my calling would be a mother and now a school mentor to children as my career.
Hi Dr Dray, Have you read or listened to Hidden Valley Road? I highly recommend it. Greetings from Poland!
😂😂😂😂😂You are a hoot!!! Cabbage patch kids❤❤❤
Dr Dray, everything you recommend and all the information you teach/provide has been so helpful to me in my skincare journey post pregnancy. I love and appreciate all you do. I need help!!!! I have tried Panoxyl washing under the arms (the proper way by leaving on before rinsing off) I have tried every deodorant type, even non fragrance, sensitive antiperspirant. I am STILL experiencing underarm odor. I just do not know what to do and I have NEVER had this issue in my life. Once I gave birth and a few months went by, it started out of no where. No on any new hormonal medications. Thank you for your help and time and advice ❤❤
Not^, excuse any improper grammar!
How long do you leave it on? Maybe you need to up the strength and/or frequency
Hey! Those little sleeve thingys DO work to catch the drips. Lol
Someone suggested scrunchies!
