@JuzoSan-pf1ep yeah I'm working on a commission right now and have needed ideas on how to light it. Definitely gave me ideas, especially with the procedural
What do you think about the tip of having a plane in front of your area lights with just a Translucent BSDF on? Apparently it's helps mimick real lights as opposed to the harshness of blender's native lights.
I guess you could render out different images and lay them on top of each other later on. I do think it's a bit of a timewaster though, but it would work.
Shadow creates depth. You'll rarely see flat images in cinema. (Flat meaning lit all over) I don't think there's a specific science on the side of the face specifically, it just looks better and people seem to find that to be the case. I recommend watching some videos on cinematic lighting to further improve your understanding. Hope that helps :)
Can you make circle with your face bigger? Seriously man, this is awkward. For some reason people start to put his face in videos.... probably some DEI quasi psychologists make research and decide that viewers simply can't follow tutorial without teacher face. Pheh.... most people make this small, even hide background to less distract viewers from important content. You go in opposite direction, even of your face cover important part of interface.
