This is basically what I did when I first turbocharged my DA9 Integra back in 2003 (when I was 20). I bought one of the very first SSAutochrome turbo manifolds with a downpipe ($250), a Dodge Daytona T3 turbo from a junkyard that had an entire school bus full of random turbos ($50), a DSM side mount intercooler ($50), a set of DSM 440cc injectors ($75), a DSM BOV ($25), and I went above and beyond for a Zdyne Gold SECU ($1500) because I didn't want to blow up my 120k mile B18A1. My buddy tuned it on his DynoJet and it made 258 whp on 12 psi and was pretty quick. I had alot of fun in that car until the YS1 cable trans shot out every gear but 5th. I drove it home almost 40 miles with it stuck in 5th. After that I parted it out and scrapped the shell. I really wish I had just kept it and replaced the trans. I still miss that car. I sold the B18A1 to a kid in North Carolina who was swapping it into his CRX.
I remember Turboing my D16Y8 like 12 years ago. Was the best thing I did went from a 15.5 on 50 shot of nitrous to 12 seconds flat on a T3/T4 turbo stock bottom end with AC and all the trimmings. Was the best thing I did. Now I own a B16A powered CRX and a B16B powered NA CrX both are fast or faster then with the turbo at that time.

Get your fuel and timing parameters set along with the correct sparkplugs for the boost and fuel mapping, put a quiet exhaust on it, and paint the intercooler black and you'll have yourself a nice sleeper. 10 to 12 pounds of boost with a good tune should put a smile on your face. FlowMaster mufflers flow very well and sound virtually stock. If it weren't for the sick paint job, you were better off selling it and getting a civic that came manual from factory. The trans swap is the easiest part. It's the fact that you're going to have to deal with having to switch gear changer and everything underneath, setting up the slave cylinder, the clutch pedal, etc. Its a lot of work and time. Thanks for the post brother. Honest about everything. I'm going to go with the billet version of this turbo for my d16z6. How did things go with your setup?
Cold intake is the worst performance mod you could have done. You are sucking in hot air in to your motor therefore loosing power. If you were smart you would be a case around to to isolate the hot air from the motor.

Same style clamps i use on my semi... Good clamps
Anyway you could re-link similar parts list? I may go t28, but I want that piping and this link is dead 👻
I liked this video, I also have a Honda Civic too, but not going to turbo it. ( 96 EX -AT) I just want know what kind of turbo is that 🤔 I miss it on video.
Fernando Cony TD05H eclipse 16g turbo
Look very professional bro. Love it
Sweet!!Looks Sick Bro! I'm Boosting My 2000 Civic Ex d16y8. Pretty pumped that is amazing though nice job!!!
My questions are, what turbo is that from and do you know which one to buy?
And how does the downpipe adapt? What does that guys blow off valve cost normally?
Jason Valerio $30 for the blow off valve new, turbo is TD05H you can buy it on eBay it amazon, oil feel line kit is roughly $45. Downpipe is like $39 unless it comes with the turbo, intercooler kit $159 and log manifold $59 and adapter was like $30-$40
Video of you driving around was on Stock ECU??
Great video. But without hookups I see this build costing about $2000
Awesome. How to build a REAL budget sleeper. I want to build a totally stock civic and boost it, hub caps and all.
Desmond Marshall haha heck yea. I ended up manual swapping this and upgrading to a GT30 Twin scroll turbo and now tuning it on Hondata s300 but still looks sleeper for now haha 😆 check out the newer videos
@@TexasHondaChannel as with any Honda, it never stays COMPLETELY stock for long ha ha. I subscribed and 🔔, I am definitely going to watch your latest video, you videos are my guides and tutorials!! Thank you for sharing your build, most people do not share this type of information especially in detail.
Great video very informative
876 Productions Thanks I try.
Just subscribed to you bro! I love civics I have a 97 sedan dx auto I want to turbo as well and manual swap preferred.
I will be doing a manual swap how to soon! Also welcome to the channel!
Is that the turbo bro 🔥🔥🔥
Crx Jojo it is!
Texas Honda Channel I’m excited bro
I love watching your videos, you have a great attitude and you explain so clearly. I have a D16y8 I want to turbo but The motor has high mileage 247,000. But runs strong, any advise on this similar budget build
An unmolested 6th gen civic in decent condition wouldve been 1500-2000.
Damn great vid. Good edits
If it's not too much could you post a link for everything you needed cor that turbo setup? Or at least a parts list. I'm about to turbo my B20 but dont have too much to spend. Thanks and great build.
Thanks for the video man, but how long did you run the turbo on the automatic trans and was it a difficult or expensive swap?
I like Honda Accords... I bought one for my daughter and she got tboned and totaled car but walked away...if you bought everything, what would it have cost?
If its a newer honda accord . like 03 and up i would just swap the motor into a civic .
@@thehondalife2812 it was a 96... But we had to let tow company keep it... $500 plus tow home and fix car or 300 and thwy kept it.
If i had bought everything no help from awesome subscribers it would have been close to $500
This a great detailed video 👌!
Good vid man
Emilio Muniz Thank you
Nice video, subbed 👌
moose1875 Thanks 🙏🏻 I have done a lot on this channel after this video so I should have some more decent content out. Feel free to browse or ask questions!
Thanks for the post brother. Honest about everything. I'm going to go with the billet version of this turbo for my d16z6. How did things go with your setup?
Only if the Honda was manual 💀
(It was manual swapped directly after this video)
Cold intake is the worst performance mod you could have done. You are sucking in hot air in to your motor therefore loosing power. If you were smart you would be a case around to to isolate the hot air from the motor.
Fr. Putting an after market air intake on a single cam d series does absolutely nothing that the stock one couldn’t do
It’s just because it sounds cool, cars can be slow but so much fun to rock with a manual and intake
very good video! but the question i have is: u didnt't mess with compression at all?
high km engines ussualy have a lower compression and like the boost
Just wanted you to know I like your channel so much so I had to come over and subscribe to this channel also and God bless you and your family also
Amazing ❤❤❤ Great Job...I'll be boosting my Automatic Integra soon...Thank you 😊
Boosting a auto😂😂 that's a waste of money and time
Hello
all internal parts of the engine are original? No special rods,or pistons?Original camshaft?
how much hp do the engine ?Thank you, nice job!
No idea the horse power when it was auto like in this video ^. I actually converted it to manual then upgraded turbo and turned the boost up and made 200whp on 9psi stock everything on the engine besides the turbo. Im now at 30psi on forged rods and pistons with loads of aftermarket support. Feel free to check my newer videos.
Sick keeping ac awesome
How long do you think the auto tranny will last and what psi of boost would be the limit for an auto turbo daily
Lmao if it blows up guys your have more content guys you joker made my day bro
low boost doesn't hurt
Bro u dont have even age to drive lmao
I love this channel
dam i wanna do this so bad
