When y’all started breaking down Jesus showing us the 5 love languages, I almost threw my shoe at the screen and ran around my apartment.. yall are smarttttt!! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
That’s so funny lol. At worship practice, if someone is really SANGING we throw our shoes at them to show appreciation too 😂. Well we appreciate you, thanks for watching :)
God definitely uses us as His hand and feet! One time my husband and I had a big fuss. I went to the room upset and started praying. I said "God..I wish You could give me a hug!" 👑 Don't you know, right after I said , that my Husband came in the room..hugged me and left.👀 He didn't say a word and I knew that hug was from the Lord! ❤ After we got a chance to work things out ..I shared that with my Husband and we were both amazed!❤👑
These pod cast are a BLESSING to my soul. I can truly see and hear the JESUS in you two!!! I share every pod cast young and older can learn from these. I pray for you two on the daily but also I pray that God will continue to Bless this union!!! You two are a beautiful couple 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
This is my first comment on any page using my business account, and it makes sense for it to be here with you two! I am from Miami and currently live in Tampa. I met my hubby in 1999 at #fsu and we have been married for 15 years. We have been blessed and we will be welcoming our first baby, but sixth pregnancy in our 40s. God is so good!!!
I really enjoy the fact that the 2 of you accept each other where you're at AND saves space for one another all the while, making your desires known and having them received in love. THAT'S A LOT FOR MOST PEOPLE TO DO!
Based on what I have been watching from this podcast and the others, I feel that you guys are most definitely blessed and that Jonathan has one of GOD’s gift of teaching the Word! If Jonathan was ordained as a Pastor and had a Church, I would go to where he was preaching GOD’s Word!! For me it is really difficult to find a True person of GOD!
Keep.this podcast going!!!! The "Walls" will be broken down when you continue to share your perspectives. Great messages in this podcast from a young couple! Thanks for sharing some of your experiences that give tangible examples and by tying in the Love of Jesus!!! Awesome job! 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️
I’m the same way. If I’m feeling down or overwhelmed and someone ask me “are you okay?” Immediate tears 😭 lol I don’t know what’s in those words but mannnnn *with the right person* I will turn into a little child and cry my eyes out
Hey Guys, you are right age doesn’t matter. My husband is younger than I am but he teaches me a lot. Like stuff you would think I have learned or been showed already. Marriage is beautiful when it’s done right.❤❤
22:51 made me think of me and God. Everytime I feel this way about someone God reminds me in a way that I shouldn't hold a grudge, because He doesn't when it comes to me being wrong. God still listens to my prayers and still answer me, still giving me grace and love me even when I'm wrong. So when I'm mad at my man I must not try to hurt him by ignoring him. If it makes sense
The relevancy! Knowing someone’s love language can help you love that person better. Whilst the intention of showing love to another who has a completely different love language to you is sooo important, I’ve found it to also be hard! But you go hard for the ones you love right. Another great episode. Thank you 🫶🏾
I really appreciate how transparent and honest you guys are with each other, and you do it with love. I feel like sometimes in relationship, especially married ppl, they think if their marriage isn’t actively falling apart, then there is nothing to fix/talk about. But these little things really do matter in a partnership, and being able to communicate lovingly yet honestly about them really strengthens the bond so much more. Going to try and work on this in my relationship too. Love this podcast and thanks so much for sharing with us 🫶🏾
The biblical tie with the 5 love languages unlocked a new spiritual awakening! 🤯Cause what? Never thought of it that way, so brilliant you guys! 👏🏾🙌🏾 I’m all caught up on y’all’s podcasts! I’m subscribed now, so proud of yall! Keep it up❤👍🏾
I’m old enough to be you guys’ mom but I love watching because you both are so inspiring and Jess you have such a way with your laugh that always makes me smile.
I absolutely love the work that your two are doing. It is a blessing and I’m praying that God will bless you exceedingly as you represent Him in love and marriage. Y’all rock!
Loved this episode. Very insightful. I was wondering if later on you could have a specific episode on how to communicate with your partner, healthy arguing and how to ensure that your partner actually understand what you mean rather than feeling attacked.
Hahaha I totally understand, my family and I are 'mean'. My hubby just shakes his head😂I guess I need to go thank him too girl😂😅 this is such a good discussion guys!!! Keep it up😊
Coming from a place of love cause I’m a big supporter for this podcast and for Jess in general… I do encourage and think Jess should seek talk therapy to help balance out her emotions now because motherhood takes on a different dimension of emotional stability and a lot of us become mothers and go off of our superwoman abilities of bringing a tiny human into this world we can’t accept help or support and push a way vulnerability and ends up in depression- I’m speaking from a personal perspective- 1yr into motherhood
hey girll!! I def appreciate where you're coming from, and i think we all need therapy so no disagreement on that there lol but I don't push away vulnerability and i def accept help it just has to be the right people. I cry in front of my husband and close friends all the time lol i just dont feel the need to cry in public and i get uncomfortable when i have TOO many people knowing sensitive/personal business which I think is okay to feel that way as well
I’m just a stranger looking in so you know your self more than anyone! I appreciate your reply and love you with the love of Jesus! Definitely what is personal should be personal, whatever you share it’s just us looking in!
Johnathan said opposite of love is pride. But i see it as opposite of love is fear and that's really what our pride let's us hide from our fears of not being enough.Remember perfect love casts out fear, we can really love our partners through anything, if we are committed to do so. I loved this podcast episode ❤
Awww but dang y’all made me realize that me ignoring people or showing them less love is a form of withdrawing my love from them 😣😢 that kinda makes me sad lol. It’s like “I’m mad at you so you’re not worthy of my love” but God never treats us that way. Imagine God ignoring me because I made Him mad?!😣
Whew!! That break down of the languages leading back to God grabbed my heart. Exactly that. ❤❤❤ Also the point about female friendships. Y’all was hitting on that one. Pride needs to take a step back and we need to do what love requires
I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation about Gary Chapman's 5 Love Languages book. My love language is gifts and it's just the thought of being given anything like chips or coffee that says I thought of you. Very easy I think. 😄
Omg everything yall saying is so on point with in n out of relationships and friendships n family. Yall are hitting the nail on the head. Yall truly do complete each other even in yall hard times he brings u back down and ground u. But u keep him spunky I live for it yall definitely different but perfect it’s like a sour patch kid as a couple lol.
@@BetweenTheWallsPod yes Jess ur sour in a good way like owww but I like it okay. Then Johnathan the sweet one (in my Dr Pepper voice) no diddy all loving and respectful. Then u get a glimpse n then yall gone 🥹 and we waiting on the next video sour patch kids lol. 😝 and no worries Jess my family all mean too lol then we all end up like Johnathan over our emotions n love harder than ever we sour patches too. 🤣😂🤣😂
Wheeww, ok Johnathan was speaking to me around 22 min about that being mad and wanting to restrict ya partner! Thank you for that! Gave me another perception... Aww love yal channel
It's so funny, I was just thinking during a time of intense prayer, I remembered kissing my husband, but in the Spirit I saw Jesus kissing me. Showing me physical touch through my husband!
The conversation you two are having can be applied to so many different relationships whether that be family , friends , and of course marriage. I have found myself similar to Jonathans my mind doesn't go to words of affirmation and its never that I am doing it on purpose but I have been told in previous relationships by the men I've dated that they would like to hear those things and they have assumed because I'm a woman that's what I want to hear as well. I have compromised on it before but I felt bad because it's kind of what jess said they felt I was only doing it because they asked me to.. not that I didn't believe what I said because I meant it But it's also true that i made sure to say it because they mentioned it to me prior. Also Jess some of my immediate family are the same way I can be "mean" to them and vice versa and they are unfazed lol and some of them are a little softer so I got a bit of both (I call it the code switch depending on who i'm talking to)This was such a real conversation keep up the good work you guys!!! I can't say this enough but I really do like these two May God continue to bless your union!!
I love this topic!! I feel that communication is not necessarily a language of love but a vehicle in how who show love; I also feel like expectations affect how we express our languages of love.
Love this episode. I love your comments, Jess, and I also love Jonathan's rationale and wisdom in the things he shares. Especially the principles or scriptural references.
Listen, I always have the best time listening/watching y’all’s podcast. You guys are so much fun and I love y’all so much. I learned a lot from you guys and I just love how you tie in the real life situation between coup and friendships and tied in with the word of God. Can’t wait until the next episode🩷🎉
I am really enjoying this podcast, and I appreciate your openness with us I am learning a lot. See I like love language rather than love. Language is the how and that’s what I see as important. I honestly can live me life without ever hearing I love you.
I am truly learning so much from this podcast keep up the great work ❤ What do you think about the fruits of the spirit? Do you think that it can relate to love languages from a biblical standpoint?

What do you think about the fruits of the spirit? Do you think that it can relate to love languages from a biblical standpoint?
