Thoroughly excellent, detailed and informative demo of this little inexpensive instrument. Yes, you get numpties decrying it as a toy but your objective demo shows it to be capable of a lot more then weedy, reedy whinings, whistlings and screechings. Good job.
Hey John, Thanks for the review. Would you recommend this for a beginner adult keyboardist? Obviously the price is nice, would be grateful of your opinion :)
@@JohnCouplandguitar Thank you, yes. It is a small electronic keyboard really, actually designed for children. But we're all children at heart, irght? Gives me something to do during the "Stay-at-Home" Pandemics. Had played piano as a kid, but not since - have toe teach myself again.
I need advice, My daughter is 4 years old.. haven't been exposed to piano yet.. would it be good option as first keyboard for next two years.. as test as well as raising her interest.. Planning to learn and teach her myself.
Not directly. It would need an interface such as www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/ESI-MAYA22-USB-Audio-Interface/1KCM You then need a program in your PC like Cubase to record the output from the keyboard. You would be better to buy a keyboard which has a USB output already fitted to it. The Yamaha PSS A50 is a bit dearer but should do the trick. www.gear4music.com/Keyboards-and-Pianos/Yamaha-PSS-A50-Portable-Keyboard/34AO This will still require Cubase.
@@JohnCouplandguitar ah gotcha thankyou! Just wanted to make sure because I found it in my closet and I know one of my friends need a small keyboard to make music in fl studios

Admirable demonstration, my good sir! Greetings from Romania!
Thanks John! Been looking at the baby brother of this (SA-46) for Christmas for our not-quite-3-year-old and this is very helpful. Great review!
Glad it was helpful!
Most delightful and helpful review I've ever watched.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoy all your reviews. Thanks John.
Thanks pat, much appreciated.
Great review, thanks
great video!
Very light and small keyboard. I would still rock this keyboard lol
Good review
Thanks Ruby, much appreciated.
Very good John!
Thanks Luca and happy new year.
Very nice review..
Thanks Eduard. Cheers.
For 50 bucks you cant beat it to carry around and play around with. 4th review...best so far. Thx
Does this keyboard have automatic accompaniment? (I'm assuming not but doesn't hurt to ask)
Sadly it does not. There are some pre-programmed chord sequences but you cannot alter them.

While this would do the job, you might find the Casio CTK-240 easier as it has full size keys. (£74)
Great new "toy" I will eventually own - good to "play away" the stay-at-home Pandemic!
Lots of fun in a small package.

Nice review. Can it be used with headphones? Thks
Yes, there is a mini jack output at the back.

Hi Rajni, I would say yes it will do the job. It is ideal for small hands.
i know this is rlly old but does this run on only batteries or am i able to charge it??
You can use a mains adaptor but you have to buy it separately.
Could I plug it into my pc and use it to create music? I'm not very good with the terms

Does it have midi capabilities?
No
is there sustain option in the grandpiano sound , a button for it ?
No there is not.
thats a shame without weighted keys or sustain , thnx for the review
well yours is just a toy , if you refer to the thing on amazon
gosh. that mini keyboard is louder than my main piano
Unless you got a decent piano sound you might just as well put it in the bin
go get a piano then..
why would you expect a decent piano sound from a toy..?
OooOOooOOOoooo
well fun fact, chris martin owns one of these, even played it on the carpool karaoke episode.
