Im so suprised and happy that i find a video like this. Never in a million years would i have expected a channel like yours in knitting community lol. Your humor and fascinating editing skills also add up to that.

i clicked on this for the memes, but not only i learned that the provisional cast-on makes the work be offset by half-a-stitch (i literally spent 40 minutes earlier today trying to figure out what mistake i made in my current work that was caused by that offset), but now also watching you do crochet cast on and then take it out, i realized why i couldn't take my other work apart correctly a while ago and that following your way, I could. clearly, the time machine didn't get made, but your video was shown to me at the perfect time

another iconic piece. Not to NLOG you, but I really appreciate how relatable the content is for internet-native pop-culture fiends, I don't think anybody has that niche. You reference stuff very well!
Love the FO cameos, this vest came out so well!

This is the first time I've ever seen your channel but oh my god, I didn't know I was waiting for a channel like this all my life. What a brilliant blend of crafting, video essay-esque narration, and a quiet hilarity that caught me off guard every time. The dreamy, airy tone of the voice over was absolutely perfect for this theme/topic.
This felt like a perfect crossover of Jacob Geller and Bernadette Banner videos, two of my favourite creators of all time.
Thank you for this gem. Instant new subscriber here :)

  • @juisefish

Man, this is so gorgeous!!! Also literally making the wallpaper is so cool, if I can ever figure out how to make a sweater then I think I have a new project in mind. It kind of makes me think of a personification of The Yellow Wallpaper, which I think is really fitting.
Also, I love your sort of philosophical take on things!! You’re 1001% right about how the process is sort of liminal and I’ll die on this hill now. That’s really a great way to describe the feeling of it, and I think it really helps explain that weird feeling when you’re done with a project and really happy with it, but you’re just kind of thrown off by the project actually being done, and not having anything to work on for it anymore.
And I personally always find liminal spaces weirdly relaxing. They make me feel like when you’re sort of half-aware you’re in a dream, but you’re just along for the ride and watching things fold out. It’s kind of like fully living in the moment, almost, it’s just that that moment’s really quiet and empty. It’s soothing, like you’re able to really just exist and take everything around you, or like you’re having that weird kind of clarity that you sometimes get in the middle of the night where you just feel weirdly content with stuff

I really like this video. I watch it a lot to help me sleep which sounds like I find it boring but that’s far from the truth. It’s just familiar and comforting since I’ve just watched it so much.
I’m pretty sure this is the video I found your channel through, and what a good one to start with! This, the Vivienne Westwood dress, and the Marie Antoinette bloomers + cardigan are my favorites of your videos ^^
I’ll stop rambling, but if you see this: thanks for sharing your craft ^^ your channel makes me want to learn to knit lol

I envy your vest collection so much! I think you and some other knitters I've witnessed online have successfully implanted the idea of making one deep into my brain, where it will someday grow to choke out my reservations, like "it will take so long! It took me ages to knit a single sock" and "my arms will get cold". Maybe it really is worth shivering for that style.

i don't knit cut i crochet so i respect the craft you do (i'm terribly afraid of making garments even for myself) but what really stuck with me is the whole idea behind this project. taking an abstract concept and transforming it into a material object through trial and error, ending up with an entire philosophy behind your project. also knitting wallpaper patterns is a fire idea idk how popular it is but it should be
