My buddy had a JDM D15B VTEC with a Garret .48 Thunderbird turbo with a Bisimoto cam, and I had a JDM D15B VTEC with an eBay 50 trim with a bone stock engine and we would run neck and neck both tuned on Crome by the same tuner. He had an EG coupe and I had an EK coupe. I made 256 whp at 10 psi on a DynoJet. Then I swapped in a bone stock B18B1 with head studs and the same eBay turbo and I made 308 whp at 12 psi. I rebuilt another junkyard 90k mile B18B1 with BC turbo stage 2 cams with dual valve springs with titanium retainers and with the same eBay turbo I made 412 whp at 15 psi. It was SO much fun, but almost too much for the street. Same block, forged internals, PR3 B16B CTR head, Skunk2 stage 3 tuner cams, a Garrett GTS3582 turbo, and WAY too many mods to list here, it makes 709 whp at 34 psi.
Big props to Jaime and Brent at PFI for outstanding tuning on my z6 very easy and smooth tuning very impressive for 17 psi of boost we got 416hp thank you PFI Team

I still have to start my turbo single cam build but this inspires me to get started. I have a 97 preface EK3 sedan with a EUDM D15Z6 with stock bottom end, Y8 cam, bridge and VTEC actuators, P28 ECU, 255 fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Y8 injectors and a 2.25" exhaust. I'm planning to run a small turbo around 8-10psi for 230-240whp. The stock rods don't really like more then that. The motor has 220k km on it but perfect compression, no blowby and zero oil consumption even with 5w30 synth. I do need a better ECU then just a stock P28 chipped but yeah ECU's are expensive as all here. Maybe I'll grab a Hondata S300 for this.
Great fun! The family sedan sure had a lot of pretty under the hood, the blue details, that fabulous header, and what a ripper, even with only one cam. The ratty looking couple really sounded good and made some big power. Best to both teams, and to the family that is PFI.

@@duanebailey6253 yes sir I got my stock motor refresh now I'm working on my built motor I got bc springs and retainers along with fresh valves and seals after in my head already just got to fig out what's the best cam and stuff or should I stay stock with it and just use a different cam gear

I've been waiting to see Sho'Nuff forever but I want to see it right more then anything. The attention to detail on this build has been nuts, I think you guys have put more work into the Clutch Pedal then some people put into building a whole motor. Anyway, I can't wait and keep it up!

As much fun as it is to spin a turbo designed for an 18 liter CAT with a 2.4 liter engine, small turbos work well on small engines. ;)

Just setup a stock block turbo setup with 200whp. Build another block with pistons and rods.
