- In this video, I attempt to beat a Pokemon ULTRA Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Blaze Black 2 by Drayano!

Nuzlocke Rules:
1. If a Pokémon faints, then it must be permanently boxed.
2. I can only catch the first encounter on each Route.
Hardcore Rules:
3. No bag items in battle, except for pokéballs. (Held items are allowed)
4. Must be played on "Set" battle mode.
5. Cannot level over the next gym leader/elite 4's highest level pokémon.
Additional Rules:
6. No EVs are allowed.
7. Must ve played on "Challenge Mode".

To be clear, this was absolutely not a blind playthrough. I had documents telling me exactly where I can catch certain encounters, what teams the pokemon has, where I can find certain items etc. I have also watched previous playthroughs so I have an idea on how to manipulate the AI.
How did you remove EVs? Was wondering since I want to also do a no EV Nuzlocke of this game.

N's Zorua is OP. Guaranteed perfect IVs and Hasty nature, meaning it can be used as a mixed attacker instead of specking into only one attack stat
I believe it's just 30 IV everywhere, which is still like near perfect
Yes, that’s the whole gimmick. N doesn’t believe in perfection. But it’s still essentially perfect.

Honestly even though your Marlon fight completely sucked, the rest of all the battles were planned perfectly. This run took me 4 attempts. Just to see you do this in 1 and especially the Blaze Black 1 run all in one attempt is insane. GG man!
Fun fact you can see which disk genesect has by looking on his back. In this case he’s got the thunder disk so thunderbolt was probably the higher chance

The first and second parts were really fun to watch! I almost wished there were more parts where we could see what mons you had in your PC and perhaps some of the theory-crafting too, but otherwise still really enjoyed it and congrats on the win

@@DocZ well it all depended who else you have in your PC and I have also done this exact same game and I love that almost perfect IV (I think) zorua which turns into one of the best Pokemon
You are also smart for the strat against Caitlin and Shauntal for making it impossible for them to hit you
And if I had to pick it would have been a pokemon from either the giant chasm or an Ammonites which was good for some reason in my nuzlocke

@@TheRealRob1 I researched this and in fact that's the case. It's not the only change, for example rock climb is a rock type move now

really well played and great presentation too, i cant overstate how much no evs make it harder, i nuzlocked this with evs and having a mixture of attack/spa, hp and exactly calculated speed evs, lets u be faster than most and pretty bulky too. One thing i in general dont like abt hardcore nuzlocks is the level cap system, its way to exploitable. I usually have level caps for bosses in between gyms and make it so only one of my mons can be the same level as the leaders highest pokemon too
So 5 of your team members are Lv. 60 and 1 is level Lv. 62? Interesting idea. I'll have to test this out.
yh pretty much so that u have the same lvl distribution as the gym leader.
zoroark got hit with ice beam coz you were in range to die with every move so the ai chooses a random one

Too many miss switches. Snorlax is always a counter for genesect, you lose crobat for free. Anyways nice channel, im subbed right now ☺️☺️

I'd love to see you do this but randomised types and moves and evolution. It'd be a lot harder and would test your pokemon knowledge a bunch.
True but then I would never improve the basics of Nuzlocking. It would only work the improvisation skills. Also I don't think people think randomisers are fun. People get excited to get a rare encounter because they know how valuable a Garchomp or Salamence would be. But if its randomized, then the value always decreases.

That's Randomized Hardcore. I would say there are definitely more "good" moves than "bad" moves on average
