I mean there are some good ice types but they're either extremely vulnerable to things not going their way (like Weavile running into sometjing that either outspeeds/prioritizes it or it cant OHKO.) or the pokemon itself is really good despite the typing (like Lapras). Honestly, they should probably make Ice neutral against steel and give it one at least one more resistance to make it fairly useable.
20:35 There was no need for using X-Scissor to break Magnezone's Sturdy. Your Pinsir has the Mold Breaker ability, meaning that it ignores Magnezone's ability & could have easily 1-Hit KOed Magnezone with Dig.

Runners dont like to do that game because its pacing is super slow. It's by far the slowest to start, which makes resetting for good pokemon a nightmare and it has the most frequent and longest cutscenes in the series which makes retrying portions after failure awful.
The effort u put into this is impressive, so I’m subbing after getting 5 minutes into the 39 minute video lol. 36 attempts and 4 hours just with a Sewaddle. That determination is admirable
I tried this challenge and was convinced it was impossible because of the 2nd gym without allowing Venipede on Route 20 but damn you managed to pull it off, super impressive stuff
I always try to use Dwebble for Elesa, even when I have ground types, just because Stealth Rock is extremely helpful for her Volt Switch spam. All of her pokemon have options to hit ground types, so it makes them slightly less useful. Rocks stacks on a surprising amount of damage when she spams Bolt Switch
This is why I LOVE Volcarona, IF you start with Larvesta, it's a freaking BEAST in Nuzlockes. No risks with getting the egg over using the wild Volcarona.
When you lost heracross so soon after losing galvantula and crustle... i honestly was unsure if you if you'd have to just start a new run lol. Shout outs to leavanny for holding the team down almost the entire game.
It’s actually just the 0.25% chance, since that factors in pokemon only having a 20% chance to appear. The 4 pokemon there (Combee at 15%, Leavanny at 4%, Pinsir at 0.75%, Heracross at 0.25%) only consist of 20% of spawns in the grotto

I really enjoy these monotype challenges! I think it would be cool if you gave updates on when Pokémon evolved, maybe even showcasing a few seconds of their evolution and also explaining their nicknames! Makes the viewers feel connected to them more
Been saying this, bug types in BW2 are legit! Shell armor Crustle carried my first BW2 HC Nuzlocke run, Galvantula and Leavanny took me all the way to the Elite 4 during my bug/electric/poison only run. So much fun. Crustle tho, goddayum. Double iron defense, double shell smash, attack EVs and you sweep the shit out of any trainer lol
It was the original white version. That made me realize that I always caught a bunch of bug pokemon. I never really searched for them as I'm not a completionist or a nuzloker. It's just sometimes when you run through they give you something to smear on trees or the fact that the bug tournament was there or that was a good way of catching strong early game pokemon. Bam bug type. Forest areas bam more bugs. By the time I grew up to complete my dex (I don't do living dex I do level dex.)
@@maximillionpegasus5160 I evolve every pokemon that i can. I forgot what it was actually called. Instead of a living dex where you catch a copy of all of them.
leavanny is such a slept on pokemon. its typing is awful, but it's otherwise an incredibly solid pokemon and i love seeing it get the appreciation it deserves
You should try this using Blaze black 2 / Volt White 2 (complete edition) on challenge mode but allow for multiple bug catch encounters (1 per species) as without it it be impossible to get past gym 2.

The only reason to not have evolved Shelmet and Karrablast is if you either did the whole run in one sitting or did some masochist rule where you can’t use pkhex to do trade evolutions.
I think you missed an encounter. In the route after you beat that hiker that blocks the way to the second gym town, you can catch a whirlipede in the dark green grass. Or is it technically the same route?
Volcarona is a good Pokemon, at my third go at black 2, I decided to go with it instead of Crobat, it managed to get me the won against Iris and even Cynthia. After that, every time I replay black 2, I always use it

Mold Breaker makes abilities useless in battle. It nullifies Levitate, thus making Eelektross susceptible to Ground typed attacks.

Yeah Stealth Rocks wrecks her team. Did it on my run and it made the fight surprisingly easy.
I did this on my hardcore nuzlock of BW and she’s gone from potential run killer to no deaths thanks to that move alone

Your pincer has mold breaker. It means if you had a ohko atk you could have killed any pokemon with sturdy.
