I still wish they would've had a scene on SVU where everyone is watching this in the squad room and Barba comes up behind them and asks "What are you watching?" and they turn it off quickly.
Oh what I would give to be 10 years older and been aware of this amazing man. So many amazing musicals and performances I've missed out on because I was simply too young. (Would've been 6-8 by this time lmao) Raúl has to be one of the finest and most talented men to exist at this age. I pray him and Lin-Manuel Miranda collaborate on something big... Soon! 🫶🏻

I wish SVU made some reference to Esparza playing the wildest roles in musical theater. Cabaret? RHPS? Taboo? Chess? Like, dude was the epitome of gender non-conforming bisexual energy and he doesn’t get one scene? Like, come on. His first episode he asks to be choked by a belt to win a case. There is no way they couldn’t have worked it in. That being said, I do live for his little moments with Benson and Carisi.

Was'nt Columbia supposed to be all sparkly and really high pitched? Never had the privilege of watching it on stage, but I expected her to be more up beat than this.
I disagree. Personally, I believe that the best Riff-Raffs in history had a metal voice, & can be easily remembered, whereas the smoother voiced Riff-Raffs are forgotten within a month of their performance. Richard O'brien himself, the man who wrote the play, & was the film's Riff-Raff, sung it in a similar manner. So did the guy who played Riff after Raul did. The 1974 LA Riff did too. All raspy, all remembered. But, Glee's Time Warp was soft-voiced, & everyone seems to hate it. Point made.
Glee's Time Warp (when Riffraff was singing) was obviously just modeling after the Richard O'Brien performance (their whole conception of the musical came from the movie as opposed to the stage version), but people forget that the original and early casts of the show had Riffraffs that sang like this and didn't just try to copy O'Brien.

She actually shaved her head, but it wasn't for the role, it was simply something she did to mark the millennium, and the role just happened to coincide with it.
