I've always been a fan of the matte finish look. Although I wouldn't put this on my personal vehicle I definitely like the look of it. I wonder what this hypershifts would look like over a contrasting color like a yellow or orange. I also wonder what yellow submarine would look like over electric lime 😂 I still have my fingers crossed that you'll do it some day 🤞🤞love you guys

I have never been a fan of the matte finish until now - when it's a single color, it just looks too plain IMO... but I really like the results of this, it looks like anodized aluminum. You've made a believer out of me, keep up the good work. 5/5!
2 things: Have you ever done your wheels to match the car? I'm curious what it would look like with color shift on your car and wheels at the same time.
Also, still waiting for your bright yellow with glow in the dark!

By the way, you guys need to revisit the matte candy red video and use the next gen frozen top coat. I think it’s going to look even closer to an anodized version than the matte top coat gave you.

Honestly, I prefer a matte finish over the hypershifts and pearls. I love that subtle shift of color. Draws you in closer to scope the details.

I am personally not a huge fan of the plum-iness of the hypershift, but it's impossible to ignore how great the finish itself looks.
If I (again, personally, not for video) could have a similar blue hue that shifted more into a dark gray/midnight blue, this finish would brilliantly accentuate the combination.

Same, the plum-crazy purple from the late 60's early70's is probably the best violet/purple existing in the car painting history (and my fave).

This is fighting for a spot in my top 5 colors you have done. Love the "brushed metal" look of it. And the large shifts make it dazzling. 5/5 will highly recommend.
This looks great! Another great combo would probably be blue interference pearls over a white base. My guess is it would look like an ice sculpture.

i will be honest here, i am not a car guy i couldn't care less how it looks on the car and the end results, but dam the bit when you mix it in that container is so satisfying to watch its like a watching some weird cosmic nebula trapped in a jar and i cant get enough of it

Ngl fascinated by this color shift. I've noticed certain colors here really remind me of things I've seen elsewhere and this is no exception--looks like the sky at twilight, going from sunset into dusk. Really really cool effect. Thanks for sharing! :D

That is SICK. I'm interested. I love glass coats, but you have to appreciate the amount of color saturation the matte finish has.
By far my favorite hypershift you guys have and the matte finish looks amazing.

Love the heavy satin finish and the shift from blue to purple is just amazing...However I feel it makes the amber look a little dirty. I think that maybe the lighter/brighter colours suffer a little with the "frozen" top coat. Apart from that I think its cool.
This came out very nice! To be honest, though? Just that gorgeous, deep, metallic sapphire blue is what I find myself really lusting after here! Just gorgeous.
Now you must do the the blue/silver shift in frozen one of my favorites! Icy blue uhuh freezzzzzing!
Maybe one day the mixing stick and the stick of truth will be put down with a normal gesture, after being drained, instead of being violently thrown while still dripping 😑
Hi y’all! I prefer a shiny, regular paint finish most of the time. There have always been the matte finishes that I have liked but they were few and far between. This however is amazing! I think I may go on a matte finish kick. How about a matte tangerine if yellow?

It looks quite good. Definitely a solid 5. The lack of glare lets the effect pop in a way that very high sheen finishes may not. Whether I'd do a matte finish or not would be a nuanced decision. I'd definitely not throw out the possibility. I'd love to see the blue to black ZBB hypershift in this.

Damn son, whered ya find this? Bro you gotta do something with them rims tho. The color on them things just never blends well with any of the projects you do. The right finish or color on the wheels would take it to the next level.

Not normally a fan of matte, but this looks great. I'd love to see that red to black shift (can't remember the name) done in matte, I think that would look sick
5 out of 5. I love this color and flat finish combination. It reminds me a lot of oxidized or what some people call heat treated titanium. It has a similar rainbow Sheen minus the intense yellows. I think on an older vehicle that has a more square body it would look great. An example of this would be like an old volvo wagon that has been dropped and souped up with some nice wheels. Did you get an old square bodied car and paint it with a flat Sheen paint with one of these hyper shifts I feel like it makes it look like an old school cruise missile.
As someone with a couple of those old wagons, I think I disagree. The more square edges would make for sharp cutoffs on the transitions, but you'd lose the faded gradient - I personally like that part. I think something with just a bit more curve to it brings out the best of this particuialr pearl, but I'll be fair - a Wagon with this would also be quite striking, just much more abrupt in the shifts. 🙂

Tbh I’ve always loved matte finishes more and I love how this turned out! When I get my own project car I’m definitely using this exact stuff on it!

Five!!! By far the best hypershift so far. It’s both classy and sophisticated! IMHO, adding a fine gold flake would make it look even better.

11/11 Assertive, but in a very elegant way. The matte finish slows down the brain's response, I think and gives the person looking at it a chance to really 'see' what's going on. Love it!!!!

What would be really great is if you could explain how these hypershift colours work, and why they look completely different in liquid form compared to when they are sprayed over a black base. I've tried Googling how they work and there seems to be no explanation.

I am one of those people that love sparkly, shiny, gorgeous colors on my car, BUT for a matte finish, this is spectacular! 5 out of 5
SUPER DOPE!!!! I can't even come up with JUST one name for this one. I had like 3 in mind....lol
Ok, so I will admit, I am one of those people. I LOVE shiny automotive finishes (except chrome. I dislike chrome). But that matte finish is pretty amazing. It allows and emphasizes shadows on the body lines. Basically to me, it looks amazing, I’ll give it a 5. BUT it leaves me curious about it being shiny. LOL!

What would happen if you applied this ZTU hyper shift on a white base? Would it be a complete disaster? All your videos I’ve seen are on black base.

Hypershift Zebra stripes PLEASE. Use orange/yellow/red shift and for the stripes use Blue/green/purple shift

😮 OOoooo... its a FROSTY, satin finish effect that minimizes the garish punch of very flashy shifts; I GET IT!!! OK < that's cool as hell... I wonder how this would effect some of the REALLY bright and sharp "rainbow glitter flakes" ? Because although they are SUPER glittery and pretty to admire on some other people's cars, I have to admit that it's just too much punch to want to put it on my own vehicle. But perhaps by using this finish in combination would make it more palatable, like the best of both worlds? Could you try mixing some of the brightest flakes or glitters with this for us - I'd LOVE to see that!

Spray that same FROZEN hypershift over a teal base. Tone down the magenta of the purple while retaining some indigo, maybe bring the electric blue closer to a seafoam-blue. I'd love to see it!

Stunning surfaces. At 6:25 looks like the car just came out of the freezer for some reason. Glare? Textural effect? Wondering if that is a photographic result or does the eye see that. It's such a beautiful set of exotic shades and a have-to-touch surface. You guys really are pushing some interesting boundaries. I know the subject from long ago and to see how it's evolved now this is impressive. Thanks for the videos.

Maybe revisit cosmic crush over intense teal or koi orange with the frozen next Gen?? 🧐👀 hell even trying CC over a base you haven’t previously used it on. I’m just curious how it’d lay down being mixed into this new topcoat.
