I enjoy your backyard and how you update us with how things are growing. I learned a little lesson from embarrassing two errors that I’ll share. One I made with an oriental red-leaf maple tree, and the second mistake was with my hydrangeas. 😊 So, you might not want to trim your tree until the spring. Because: II cut back a beautiful oriental red leaf oak tree, which died. I am pretty bummed about that. So next spring I'm going to replace it. I loved it so much. Here's my hydrant mistake, lol 🙁 Maybe learn from me and my mistakes?😏 This past year was sad for my garden. If I don't remove the blooms from my hydrangeas before it gets too cold, I will leave them on until early spring. That happened last year, and then in spring, I accidentally pruned back too far, so one didn't bloom this past spring and summer. The same thing happened this year, so I’ll leave the blooms on all winter. Then, next spring, I must remember not to prune them as far because one of the bushes I accidentally cut back too far and cut the blooms off. Two bloomed this year. One just had left. 🫨 I originally planted all three bushes in my front side garden. We live on a corner lot. It was too hot out front for them, and the flowers burned in the hot sun, so I moved them to the backyard. It's exciting because I learned something very cool about hydrangeas. After the blooms changed colors from blue to pink. I knew the color change was due to how much Ph is in the soil. It's wild that the soil changes that much from the fenced backyard to the front side yard on the same lot. 😮 Plants are one of my favorite guilty pleasures, but it is hard work. 😅✌️🧶💕🧶
I didn’t know you have a doggie , how adorable! I love old radiators and how cozy they warm a home . Do you have a fireplace? I like to watch movies that are set in the old Baltimore row home neighborhoods like “Avalon “ do you ? I don’t spin but your channel with what you spin and how you show what you do with the fleece and ultimately the yarn , is my favorite one for that subject !
@@jetv1471 I love radiators too! Nope, no fireplace. Just a small chimney to exhaust our gas furnace and hot water heater. Interesting film suggestion, I’ll have to watch it! Just read the start of the plot… I wonder what the “suburbs” were back in the 40s/50s. Our neighborhood was developed in the mid 20s and at that time it was “the country.”
This is always pleasant to see before and after tidying up. I hate tidying up ! I feel like I should throw everything away and nearly empty rooms to breathe better. I nearly got rid of all my books 10 years ago, but have the impression I have even more now !
I think we have some of the most expensive groceries here in Canada. It’s crazy what produce costs. I can’t imagine how heavenly it would be to able to grow more than tiny apples and various berries, but on the other hand, it’s so damn cold cockroaches don’t exist here😁. Nice job on tidying, looks awesome 🥰
@@helleborefiber7978 thank you so much! I put a lot of time and attention towards it… been collecting things for 20 years. I wonder if you mind sharing your resolution? Always looking for new ones lol.
@@TaylorOwen it shows! everything looks in harmony.. my goals are to put my mental health first and challenge the negative thoughts and actions of others against me, put more conscious time into making spaces in my home that I want to be in to give me joy, and continue working on making time for movement and strength training... also try and find my love of creating again 💖
It's looking great! Maybe this coming spring some of the local peeps can have a mini meetup in a park for a coffee/craft/plant cutting swap. I gotta force myself to get out of my house after a winter hibernation 😅. Also, what candy do you like at Aldi? I try to blow past the junk aisle but the stroopwafels get me nearly every time.
You are a cleaning machine! Wow! Doesn’t it make you feel good though? I hate cleaning, and my home probably looks like it, but there’s something about having DONE the cleaning that makes you just stand up taller! Have a good week T! ClaudiaSJI
I hope you enjoy your home and thank you for inspiring me to give my houseplants some tlc soon. I enjoy seeing supermarkets in other parts of the world. I am pretty sure Aldi where you are is different to here in the UK! But maybe not.
I thought trimming now would promote growth which is why I try and wait until late winter. I'm an hour south of you. I have noticed buds and new growth on some of my plants and my gooseberry bush.
Comforting havens are important for mental health and it's awesome to have one in your home ❤

Are the crocheted blankets your creations, thrifted, or a mix? Would love to hear their origin stories. Also, yes please to the Aldi tour!
@@cassandragambill these ones are all thrift finds. I have a couple self crocheted but they live in other areas. 😊

I love your energy. I use knitting as my cleaning procrastination... just one more row!

I’m a sucker for the freeze dried fruit on occasion and this time they were covered in chocolate 🍫

“The second half of the fourth quarter” Tell me you’re an accountant without telling me you’re an accountant 😂 ❤
