I’m actually glad I made so many mistakes in my 20s because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Mistakes are such an important part of life-they teach you valuable lessons and show you how to be better the next time around. Failing is just another step towards improvement, and without those experiences, growth wouldn’t be possible.
I like this video you made. I'm 21 and feel a bit lost in life in general and what it is I want to do. I'm glad you mentioned about "not caring what people think about you" because when you think about it most of those people aren't even trying to achieve anything greater than themselves. Also I believe that a lot of the things you talk about link back to this too. I wish you and anyone else reading this all the best and hope to one day look back from a better position with joy and pride. thank you
Tip 3 is extremely useful. I always thought about how other people look at me so I felt discouraged or under-confident! After years later, I found out that letting people around you know what you are doing is not a bad thing as they could give you advise that maybe helpful and no one would laugh/ care on it.
Love this vid Nischa - a lot of vulnerability shown. This just goes to show how our mental models on money shape us. When you have a much smaller salary, you think everything can be fixed by a larger one. You can't even imagine how someone on say, triple your salary, could have problems or see a wasted decade in retrospect. But regardless of income levels, the way you perceive money (any amount of money) and the way you use it, the way you think about your own capabilities to do more, make more, serve more is where the real 'work' is
Could you do a video on say if you've not been financially successful or wasted your 20s and 30s, but now in your 40s and want to start investing / get out or debt / secure your future? I've never been good with money and I'm now at the age where it's scary to think what my future will be if I don't sort this out now, I literally have no idea where to start 🙃
At 45 I started to get a handle on my finances. I think as long as you start that’s the important thing. Someone said “people make money and they are still broke” and that stuck with me. I’d definitely start by paying off all high interest debt. I listen to some financial podcasts and try to give my money some meaning before I spend it.

20-25 yardstick - wasting it on things I don't really need 25+ - I don't buy anything now unless I need it it. I use a good chunk to go away (city trips etc rather than sit down holidays) but I know that when I'm older I'll say I'm really glad I did!

Spot on. What a ridiculous take on life in your 20's to say living like she did was wasted. Her salary is top 5% or less and as soon as you start using the money wisely you can't help but have a fabulous life. Geez.
Thank you, Nischa. I’m 25, being risk averse, sensitive person I recently left my job to slow down and create the life I’ve always wanted but was so afraid to take risk and step outside of the comfort that I knew. In moments when I recall what others have said and start to doubt myself, this video really helps reassure me that it’s okay to take that risk, the risk of not changing anything at that moment was far greater. Thank you so much for making this video.
I stopped working at 28, bought a yacht, and sailed around the world. Everyone around me told me not to do this. My small investments have paid for my lifestyle. I am very rich in TIME and not money.

I was not in a position to invest in my 20s. Now I am in my early 30s and plan to make up for lost time. Sensible, regular, diversified investments. I’m getting my wife into investing too. She’s a lot more cautious and old school than I am, but I’ll win her over.
I’m 25 and currently in a job I can’t stand, spend my early twenties moving jobs (and locations) trying to better myself and studied accounting (not university) to then find myself not being able to earn anymore then I’m on now as my actual accounting experience isn’t enough, but haven’t found a job that will give me an opportunity to progress - people talk about networking etc but I feel so stuck with what to do with my career!

What I learned in my 20's and 30's (both good and bad) was consolidated in my 40's and it was then that the boredom started to set in. I've met a few people a lot older that yourself who have 'gone down the path' as it were their whole lives, and are deeply unhappy. When say 'well try something else' they reply 'what else can I do?' It's perhaps not surprising that these people spent their entire working life in the same company and sometimes in the same place. They are also paranoid about any sort of change, even if you can demonstrate and they agree it is for the better - but are too used to things as they are now. As I've got older I have found the processes you describe much easier to deal with. Yes I too have 'gone down the path', I think it is because of going through the education system where things happen at certain ages and you just continue that thinking into your working life. Indeed I have found now my envelope to have continually expanded, and instead of just knowing everyone in my village, like in my youth, I've expanded to work further and further away, and know a lot more different type of people. Learning valuable lessons without first making them is a lot better. Ex., You don't have to do drugs to learn they are bad for you.
Learning from other mistakes is also a good thing that can make your life easier. And there’s nothing wrong with that

I believe 'wondering' trumps over 'curiosity' as the key to success. It all starts with a full stop to understand what is going on and why, taking in the here and now - in any given situation - then curiosity comes in later.

I just watch your channel 'cause you're gorgeous✨
Your past cultivated you , into the beautiful, strong independent woman that you are today

I'm learning to change my misconceptions about money and the currency of abundance at 55.
I need money to work for me because I'm tired of working for money! lol
I’m 35 and I have about $250k liquid in savings which I plan to put towards becoming a homeowner but based on the current high prices on real estate, do you suggest I hold from buying or do stocks for now?

Its never too late to invest into turnkey assets especially in multifamily like I did
If you dont own your house or car, outright and have no debts, then you truly wasted your money.
I did too Nischa, grinding now tho.
Thanks!
Can this play with my alarm every morning?
Very nice video, well done
