I was torn between doing this or just buying a better condition carpet that fits my Ford Focus mk2.5, but to be honest, I really just want a brand new, fresh carpet and the carpet roll is dirt cheap on amazon. Didn't consider lining the carpet though. Good idea.
Nice work; very painstaking and finicky, but you can always cut carpet off; you can’t cut it back on 😮 Do you need to cut the slit full length for the shifter, or can you just do enough that can be covered by the center console?
Thanks man, helpful video. Bout to do my 68 camaro this same way.

I see you. I’m getting ready to vlog my build
How did you glue it or nail it? Or you did not tack it down??
it will wear into the floor well, never use glue unless using in very small amounts like corners or siding.
make me wanna start doing mine
Thank you!
