yeah its definitely one of the more misunderstood parts of tuning an impact, glad that i was clear, its difficult explaining some things even if it sounds clear to me, doesnt always come out clear
At 7:20 you explained that lowering macro knob can sometimes give higher speed... this is exactly happening to me, can you please explain why is this happening? I had 850 FPS at macro knob on 16 and after lowering macro knob to for example 13 I got 910 FPS... I was expecting that fps should be lower and I was suprised by this higher speed. Explanation will be very helpful!
some things are adjustable on other guns like the regulator, but most guns are not nearly as adjustable when it comes to the valve return adjustment, hammer spring etc. Most airguns wont have a second regulator as well
Great video! I can't find anywhere on the internet any tune for a FX M3 .35 cal. I want to have a good group size but have maximum power (for deer hunting). I am using .35 Diablo pellets, 81 gr. Any help would be appreciated. I know each gun is a little different but at least a bench mark of what someone else was able to achieve would help.
Hi Joe I have a FX Impact M3 .35 with a 800mm Barrel. Would you have settings for Reg1,Reg2 Hammer Macro,Hammer Micro that will get me started with the FX Hybrid Slug? Thanks
What a good video, I have a question. I recently had an M3 and I am setting it up. It is true that when the M3 is well set up you should hear it clearly when the plenum fills with air or is it a myth? I ask you why I don't hear it and to be clear that I have to keep insisting on searching for those sounds or maybe it's not necessary.
It all depends on the difference in bar between the 1st and 2nd reg the greater the difference the faster the plenum will fill the less likely you are to hear it. The less the difference the slower the plenum will fill and in theory the more consistent the 2nd reg will work.
Joe just got a FXM3 I guess it's a Stock Tone on it put a Discovery Scope on it n Stl,mo Area pretty Cold outside waiting till it Warm up outside!! Got a 30.cal 700
Yeah just got my new fx impact .22 M3 standard. Using 18.13gr Jsb pellets. Would you have the settings for this setup , it’s all new to me as I was shooting Air arms before this. Thanks
thats the thing, there isnt really just a "setting" for that ammo, its about what Feet Per Second or ultimately what foot/lbs of energy u want, and that is typically determined on what your goal is for shooting, ex (hunting; birds, squirrels, deer, etc - target shooting, attempting to get the highest BC for long range shooting), and since you are new to it, the best thing is to get shots under ur belt, laern the gun, get a baseline, so you can even tell if you prefer the gun before/after tuning, and OF COURSE start with using a chrono so you can get a baseline of your speeds and if you decide to tune, where you go with it. We do like the simplicity and convenience of the FX Radar Chrono, and of course, shameless plug - available at our shop www.topgun-airguns.com/product/fx-pocket-chronograph/
if there is no leaks/restrictions and it was assembled correctly, did you check your first regulator differential to your shooting regulator (2nd regulator) and make sure the air coming in from the tank is at least 20-30 psi above the 2nd regulator?
hello uncle. I am Vietnamese. Currently I am also using FX M3, barrel length 600cm, bullet size 5.5 27gr. I don't know how to adjust it properly. I have searched many videos in the country but could not find the answer. Can you help me?
Sir I have .177 impact m3 but now I have 600mm .35 barrel kit i have installed it I have increased 1st reg pressure to 195 and 2nd 150 and valve at 5 line and wheel at 16 and Marco at 4 .I am shooting 81 grn still I am not getting near to 800 it's only showing around 580fps can you please help me out how can I get up to 800fps for .357 for 600mm barrel kit
Hi try turning your macro to 4.5 but i think your main issue is the barrel length its too short so the air does not have enough time to push the pellet or slug up to speed
yeah, they are amazing guns right out of the box, and unless u really want to get into tuning the gun, they are typically set up perfect for almost all situations right out of the box. But us guys typically like to tinker, which usually means messing up something that was fine and finding out how to put it back lol
Great video! I like how you explain things so you can understand. Keep up the great work.
Great explanation on all the different adjustments!! This is a great learning video, thumbs up 👍🏻
happy to hear people got something out of it :)
thanks for the easy to understand the valve adjuster knob, tried it today, and was able to turn the knob in from 4.2 to 3.0

Very well explained. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind reply!

Best vid on M3 Tuning. Can you give us some examples of settings for shooting 35 cal slugs?
Are the adjustments you described for the FX M3 the same for all FX Airguns like the Crown, Dreamline, etc?

Good info.
Can the 2nd regulator be adjusted up or down with the system pressurized? I’ve heard conflicting information on this. Thanks!

My favorite!!!! Enjoy and SAFE shooting!
Nice video sir do you guys have the m3 power block kits for the MK2 ??
give us a call at the shop and we can have my guys check the stock but i believe we do.
Would this work on uk 12 ftp models sir
Dear Joe, How do I measure the pressure in the air tank in this gun ?
There are 3 gauges on the impact m3, one for the airtank, one for the first stage regulator, and one towards the rear for the 2nd stage regulator

Hi my M3 with 800mm and tungsten hammer fills the plenum very slow after firing what could be the problem here?

I'm not familiar with your country's language. I use google to translate. If there are any incorrect sentences, please ignore them. Thank you, uncle

I would love to see thank you so much 💜
I got the chrono with my impact. It’s shooting 945fps 50 ft lb out of the box brand new.

th-cam.com/video/yMriZ9BqD-k/w-d-xo.html -> that is a good recipe to dent your reg seat. 1/4 of a turn is like 20-30 bars.
This guy does not even know the name of the knobs !!! Wow !!
Micro small adjuster Macril power wheel !!
