    Hi Dave
    Always enjoy your videos
    It’s always interesting to get views from different couriers
    I run my own transport company and have done for 12 years , do not use the CX, as have only had my own customers
    Website and business cards good idea it does help
    Most important is great service and your own personality

      Thanks Michael, how do you cover work if you are busy? That’s a concern I have as I worry about potentially letting people down.

    Something to keep in mind mate, if you upgrade your CX to post jobs for the first year you can only post 20 jobs per month.

      I reckon if I post 20 jobs a year I’ll be lucky, but thanks for letting me know James. You are a gent 👍

    Hi Dave,
    I have been watching your vids with a view to starting my own business, you mentioned website's. Currently I am a self employed driving instructor and I have 2 websites on the first page of google, would be happy to do your website for you in exchange for some guidance on how to get into the industry?
    Actually that offer goes to any other courier who would like a website put up, the one thing I have seen about this industry is you guys all help each other where you can, So this would be my way of helping and maybe getting some contacts within the industry.

    • @anvillogistics477
      @anvillogistics477  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lee, that sounds absolutely fantastic to me as I’m clueless about these things. I’m not after a fancy website just really a presence on the internet so if people look up the company they can see I exist. I would me more than happy to give what guidance I can.
      You can email me on davidatanvil@gmail.com, alternatively phone or text 07835246958.
      Many thanks
      Dave

    Keep shipping them videos out Dave, I've learnt alot from yourself and a couple of others.
    That's all them traffic cops do is sit in there little hideout, watching the world go by and eating haribos 😂, good to hear the police didn't give you any grief.
    Another great video 👍.

    Hi Dave, did the VOSA checked your drivetime records? I heard that van drivers need to follow HGV drive time rules. I was wondering how they check it, because vans don't have tachos...YET. Do you need to record your drivetime, other work, breaks, etc?

    • @anvillogistics477
      @anvillogistics477  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not at the moment but I believe it’s coming in.
      You have a responsibility to make sure you don’t drive tired but I think it’s difficult to enforce.
      But in 2025 they are trying to make tachographs in vans over 2.2T compulsory

    • @BigAdventurer
      @BigAdventurer ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anvillogistics477 Yes it is coming. They will try to eliminate those hard working guys, who work 7 days or 14-15 hry constantly to make a living. Of course, I understand the main reason is to keep the roads safe out there, but until the wages are too low and expenses are too high, there will be no other option for them.

    • @anvillogistics477
      @anvillogistics477  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I remember for vans it’s 120x400mm for the front
      300x400mm for the back

    Hi Dave, been following your videos with interest and I was wondering about the ADR training. Where would you do it? Is it similar to the module that hgv drivers do? What are you allowed to carry? It sounds like it would be worth doing but some info about what's involved would be useful and appreciated. Cheers Dave, all the best, Alan.

    • @anvillogistics477
      @anvillogistics477  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did mine with Enterprise and it’s the same course that the HGV guys do.
      Obviously I didn’t do tankers, but I can carry all hazardous classes except radioactive and explosive as I chose not to take those options.
      If you go on line you’ll find a course near where you live.
      It usually takes about 4/5 days and it’s classroom based but some companies do it over Zoom meetings as well
