    Helllo Dave, great video as usual. Love your honesty regarding the courier business and how much you need to put into the business in order to take anything out! Similar to you, my mortgage is very low with only a year or so left to go. It does make life much less stressful if your overheads are kept as low as possible. I do appreciate that people who have a young family will need more money per month than i do in order to live comfortably. My insurance is slightly less than yours, but not by much! I do not do, nor will i ever do hazardous load work. Agree with your comments about treating customers with respect and honesty, and i fully agree with you regarding having magnetic signs. Because i have known my regular customers for well over 20 years, they trust me to remove the signs when necessary. (It doesnt happen too often). I drive a Vito and main dealer servicing costs are huge. My van is no longer under warranty (68 reg Vito 165000 miles) and for the first ever i am thinking of letting my local garage do the next service, because they charge £55 per hour which is more than half the cost of my main dealer. Keep up gods work, lol, and keep those wheels rolling, and the money pouring in (if only) 👍👍

    Hi Dave, thanks for these wonderful pieces of information regarding courier Jobs/business. Iam based in coventry as i have just relocated to the UK and been here for just 3 months. My background business is Transportation from my country. I have learnt alot from you, made some decisions already regarding courier work because of your frankness, openeness and reality, which gives a beginner some answers to very fundamental business questions. I really want to begin but am impeded because of Driving License requirements and a couple of other things. However, one thing that you have not cracked for me is the access to backload pick-ups. CX has had alot of negative comments and wouldnt wish to use them anyway and besides their fees, to me are quite unreasonable. I am therefore wondering what options and or which other platforms are there to substitute CX, otherwise thanks for being a good realistic influencer.

    Why don’t you get a night heater fitted to the van with an extra battery and have a bed set up in the back of the van ?

    Hi mate, I’m looking to buy a Luton van, do you think I’d need a tail lift or am I good to go

    • @anvillogistics477
      @anvillogistics477 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anasmiah6740 most people I know with Luton’s have a tail lift but the extra weight does reduce your payload. I personally like the curtain side Luton vans as it’s easier to take off pallets and you don’t necessarily have to carry a pump truck on board everywhere you go Tail lifts are useful to offload at sites where no forklift truck is available. I personally operate a LWB panel van so I’m not an expert on Luton’s

    Hi Dave, I’ve asked James but seems like he’s too busy to answer. What if I subcontract somebody on CX and the load get damaged or missing?

    • @anvillogistics477

      @@BlueLotusFlower.uk- well the responsibility should lie with the subcontractor. As a self employed courier we take charge of the load on our vehicles so if they are damaged or stolen it’s down to us. That is why we have goods in transit insurance to cover these contingencies
