It's much easier if you lift the engine out, drop the gearbox, undo the front sub frame, remove the exhaust, take off the heat shield, cut a hole through the bulkhead, reach through, remove old pollen filter.
Replacement is just the same procedure in reverse.

Best way! Any future pollen filter changes can be done under a minute!

Yes i was. On that day I tried to change a front fog light and that took ages and then I went on to change the pollen filter which took a lot longer than you can see in the video. I'm glad this is useful to other people.

Here in Brazil we change this filter by removing the accelerator pedal, it has "only" three 10mm nuts, but, you need to have the right tools to make the job less horrible, so, patience is highly recomended too!
    Thanks for the video!

I too changed it without taking the glove box out because it would not come out! Mine is a Titanium with a hose from the AC into the RHS side of the glove box (to keep your chocolate cold on hot days) and without taking the hose off the glove box wouldn't come out and there is no way I could get the hose out. The Ford garage has always done this in the past and they must find it difficult too as they have thrown two of the 7mm across the flats self tappers away as well.
I too was thanking Ford for the amount of time they put into maintainability when they are designing cars, particularly on some thing that is supposed to be changed every year. Mind you the same bloke seems to have designed almost everything else on the car.
For those of you that are wondering I have gone from almost no ventilation flow to good flow on installing a new filter.
