I always loved the look of the L9000 and the Mack Econodyne. .These new trucks have no soul, I drive a 2019 Cascadia and it averages about 6 to 8 months before it's in the shop for engine lights and stupid downtime issues, glad it belongs to Penske LOL. Very nice job on your truck, the older ones like yours are timeless.
There were a bunch of L8000 Ford dump trucks around here. Mostly powered by 3208 Cat or 7.8 Ford diesel, which I think was built in Brazil. I saw one with air over hydraulic front disc brakes. All had Hendrickson walking beams, which I hated rebushing.
I have a 95 L N 8000 dump truck still running using it almost every day just a great truck ! It is something that I can actually work on unlike the newer trucks which I think are junk they are just not built as well as the older trucks were!! You have a great looking truck ! I have a older international with the L 10 in it and those are Great motors !👍👍
Great trucks and good looking too. I have to go down South around Va., SC and NC to find any iron worth buying. I swear NY uses so much road salt in the winter that it turns metal to Swiss cheese in just a few years.
@Philip Thomas Excavation that's good to hear that how do you like the L10 Cummins engine I have a 1986 international 2574 with the L10 Cummins I have not used it much yet. I have a ISM Cummins that I am going to try as a sawmill Power unit I have heard that they get pretty decent mileage
What a beautiful truck! The L10 is one of my all-time favorite engines! Can you please do a super long unedited driving video on this truck with just pure engine and exhaust sounds? Make sure to start the video with engine startup, shift at high RPM's, and end the video with engine shutdown. Please make it as long as possible, 4-5 hours preferred. Please let me know ASAP.
Nice job! Awesome! Noticed the 231 area code and Midwest Tractor mud flaps. I'm 30 minutes south of Buckley. What model of Case loader is that? I have a working, near New looking, W7G.
My father left me his 1986LN 9000 and I completely restored it. Love these trucks.
Very cool! Well build trucks. Thanks for watching
