I don't know if this is accurate or not, but the first "Lion and the King" is about the black panther usurping knock off simba's father, and banishing him and his family to the desert. Then knock off simba gets the vultures to betray the black panther by bribing them with computers...at least that's what the tv tropes page said.

So...Tarzan is nearly totally silent on my mono phone. My guess is that the movie was recorded in mono, and then the polarity on one channel was flipped. I don't have my headphones on me, but if anybody plugs in headphones and the audio is restored to "full quality", then that's what the problem is. Mono audio with one channel phase flipped.

I can't figure out if the audio quality drop in the movies at the end was your doing or not.
