I think Dingo could have distanced themselves from being copies of Disney and other successful animated movies by inserting Wabuu into all those movies and making him the main character of whatever story they are copying.

He also seems to be part time actor at a theatre. So there should be at least one voice actor who actually has experience in narration and acting. But no one among these voice actors sounds like a professional. Either this guy absolutely did not care at all about actually giving a good performance for this company or their equipment was so terrible that no voice actor would have ever sounded good.

Just recently looked up the animators from Dingo Pictures and they are actually doing something now. To quote: "The revealed credits for each film actually credit the animators as "Ludwig Ickert" and "Simone Greiss". According to Greiss' personal website, she now works as a freelance actor and painter; while Ickert is lead guitarist of a band now, according to a local newspaper."
Yet this is technically their most screwed up. Garbage areas, missing building parts, there's one shot where you can see the part that *holds the drawings*, and the laziest character designs yet. I mean at least Quasimodo looked like a hunchback and not like anyone else. At least the lion and the black panther looked like a lion and a black panther. Here Balto and his girlfriend and even his enemy looked like the laziest palette swaps on earth. Then the squeaky voice crackling female actress for the old man is just too hilarious.
I never understood the reference at 10:01 until I stumbled onto an old commercial for the Mario Bros Arcade for Atari. It has Luigi yell "Mario, where are you?" In the way Phelous yells "Comio, where are you?"

It's such a shame that no one's made a live-action movie about the actual event, since the story of the serum run, Gunnar Kaasen, Togo, Balto, and Leonhard Seppala is a pretty interesting one.
Balto was made roughly around the time it was popular to take real life historical events and adapt them into cartoons with talking animals (we got several Titanic cartoons for some reason). I figure an accurate adaption of Balto would be more possible today.
I know that part about this being in theatres was a joke, but oh god, can you imagine if one of these was shown in theatres? That would be hilarious, seeing tons of people's reactions to this not knowing what it even was.
Did you hear about what happened with Megamind when it was in theaters? The projectionist of one theater got the movies mixed up and ended up showing a Saw movie instead. Common sense would suggest that the parents grabbed their kids and rushed them out of the theater well before anything gory could happen, but yikes.
I could imagine that- people would start discussing what the hell they are watching and then they will buy popcorn and slushes for the soul purpose of throwing them at the screen. Fun fact: In our version, the kid characters were always voiced by kids, the male characters were always voiced by males, and the same went for the female ones. Also, the dialogue was re-worked to be grammatically accurate. Also, good guys sounded like good guys, and villains like villains...
I am 100% sober and just grading papers and rewatching this for the umpteenth time, but for some goddamn reason this is funnier than it's ever been to me. From the joke about the moose picture, the what's up doc gag, to the "game over yeah!" with the weak "yeah", just all had me bursting out loud with laughter.

This movie is actually where I first heard of Dingo Pictures, it was discussed on a Balto fansite for the 1995 film and its sequels called Balto World. Though I admit, it was through this review I found there was a English dub.
Maybe if the dogs hadn't been given bullshit instructions to not rest for 3 days, and were actually able to rest properly, the black dog wouldn't have died trying to jump the gorge on the second time.
If you're wondering why this was released in 1997 as opposed to 1995 like the original film and many other Dingo ripoffs, Balto was delayed in Germany by two years and didn't hit theaters until April 1997.

Gotta love the Judge Seal gag. Though considering this is the Dingo Pictures universe, I wouldn't be surprised if the Judge from Dingo's the Hunchback got reincarnated into the Judge Seal in Dingo's Balto. I mean reincarnation is definitely a thing in their universe considering how they reuse everything (characters, character models, names, background assets, etc). It also would explain the multiple versions of Charlie Cat who end up getting paired with a Lucy, or the two Como. Though in the case of the one true Wabuu, he's most likely a Raccoon Time Lord.

I know dingo has had issue with their framing but wow guys. Characters cut off, parts not fitting over backgrounds and one shot it looks like they didn't bother to edit out the paper their 5 year old drew the backgrounds on (10:44) Also they clearly can make a brownish version of the Balto model so why didn't they just use that for the "not Jenna" love interest?

This movie is actually where I first heard of Dingo Pictures, it was discussed on a Balto fansite for the 1995 film and its sequels called Balto World. Though I admit, it was through this review I found there was a English dub.
Maybe if the dogs hadn't been given bullshit instructions to not rest for 3 days, and were actually able to rest properly, the black dog wouldn't have died trying to jump the gorge on the second time.

If you're wondering why this was released in 1997 as opposed to 1995 like the original film and many other Dingo ripoffs, Balto was delayed in Germany by two years and didn't hit theaters until April 1997.

Gotta love the Judge Seal gag. Though considering this is the Dingo Pictures universe, I wouldn't be surprised if the Judge from Dingo's the Hunchback got reincarnated into the Judge Seal in Dingo's Balto. I mean reincarnation is definitely a thing in their universe considering how they reuse everything (characters, character models, names, background assets, etc). It also would explain the multiple versions of Charlie Cat who end up getting paired with a Lucy, or the two Como. Though in the case of the one true Wabuu, he's most likely a Raccoon Time Lord.
Guess the Diamonds Panther got reincarnated into Balto. Must be working on his Karma or some other Dingo Pictures reincarnation shtick.

I know dingo has had issue with their framing but wow guys. Characters cut off, parts not fitting over backgrounds and one shot it looks like they didn't bother to edit out the paper their 5 year old drew the backgrounds on (10:44) Also they clearly can make a brownish version of the Balto model so why didn't they just use that for the "not Jenna" love interest?
