I’m surprised no one is talking about how fluid the animation is. Especially King K. Rool.
The sound direction for this game was fucking amazing. The soundtrack is unforgettable and the sound effects are perfect. Especially when it comes to the Kong's weapons.
K.Rool charging around with the light over his head is weirdly frightening.

I always liked how each character got their own final boss phase, I really don't get the complaint that it's too drawn out.

I think K.Rool had headache after this move from Diddy....thats hurt. But we all know: K.Rool is the King of our hearts for all time (or for 3 sec., who knows)

It didn't help them because K.Rool was clearly getting weaker with each round. Chunky did the finishing blow, but the other Kongs certainly made his job a lot easier.
In terms of difficulty from easiest to hardest.
1. Donkey Kong (Once you notice K.Rool's pattern)
2. Chunky Kong (As easy as DK, just notice the pattern and avoid getting hit)
3. Diddy Kong (Keep moving and shooting the lights to avoid the boxing gloves)
4. Lanky Kong (All about timing and avoiding K. Rool running around)
5. Tiny Kong (Just really annoying with the toes getting progressively faster and faster)
For some reason I find Tiny Kong the most difficult character to deal with, even her boss in Frantic Factory is the hardest boss in the game!
Diddy's part is actually pretty hard in the beginning, or at least it used to be for me. Just getting into the barrel and avoiding his glove on the ground, it's a lot easier in the air.
For me, Lanky's fight was the hardest.
Disagree on hers being the hardest King Kut Out was a bit of a pain

People I put to you if this isn't the best boss fight in gaming history its at least top 5, here is the facts.
1. Music. It slaps can't have a good boss fight without a solid track this is undeniable.
2. Characterisation. K.Rool doesn't just want to fight you head on he wants to make it into a public spectacle to humiliate you in front of his underlings, all the while he is also cheating. If that isn't villainy I don't know what is which makes the victory even sweeter when you beat him at his own game.
3. Gameplay. As many have already pointed out the level serves as an exam, you need to prove your finese with each Kong to show that you have mastered the game.
4. Tone. This section alone could pass as a short film a lot happens. It's so expressive and humourous the stakes have never been so high but at the same time its hilarious.
It'd be cool if there was a 1v1 event set in the boxing ring to unlock K Rool in Ultimate.

They used the Zelda pirate ship level, of course. I mean the DK64 fight is cool but the setting of the original DKC with Gangplank Galleon is more iconic. They did put him in the boxing ring in the Ken/Incineroar trailer as a contender alongside fellow boxers Bowser Jr. and Villager 😝🥊

This was such an unusual boss fight. The craziest part is when Tiny goes into his shoe and fights his toes. Probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen in a video game. LOL!

Seems Rare really got back at Nintendo over their dickishness about the Banjo Kazooie flowerpot voices...K Rool's "thank you" is even more muffled and open to interpretation as to what he might be saying. ;-)

I reached this fight yesterday. I'm struggling with Chunky's section. Can't get the timing right on landing punches on K.Rool.
The last one is the trickiest since he bobs around a lot. Ironically, the one where he speeds at you is one of the easier ones because you can pretty much do it as it begins and get it.
Sorry K Rool, but Candy Kong is a different species! Hahaha

I don't really get what yer sopposed to do during lankys part
On Lanky's part you have to hit a switch then throw the barrel to reveal a banana peel and play Lanky's trombone to make K.rool slip.
Hit the switches outside of the ring with your stretchy arms to get a barrel, throw the barrel to make a banana peel come out, then play the trombone to make the boss run directly towards you, but make sure the banana peel is in his way so he slips on it and gets hurt, keep doing that until the boss is beaten.
