I've been to both places, but I prefer to Yong Kang if I want a spicy savory noodles, but Lin Dong Fang is better if i want a lighter cleaner soup!

you should try 段純貞牛肉麵, personally I think it's better than Yong Kang, has hand cut noodles, but is a bit spicier

Number 2 for me please 😊 Looks delicious and not so spicy (I can't handle spicy food *sigh*) and the presentation was nicer with the sliced beef 😊

@1:54 of the video, those are not fat. those are beef tendon. @6:23 that shop provide you a choice of adding in their speciality trade secret beef noodle grease by your self, and it changes the taste from light to heavily oily. a 2 in one deal when eating it. they moved their shop in 2019 to a near by building, I believe.

here in NYC we have exactly that.. its a chinese noodle shop.. its been open for at least 20 years... its got the tendons, with beef stew, the soup makes the noodles and it has spicies and enough oil to consider it to be ok.. yes.. the price is not bad for a good bowl of noodles, its about $7, after a renovation to the place.. if you ever come back to NYC, message me - ill bring you there :) my treat.

First thing you need to know about beef noodle soup in Taiwan is that you avoid the places with the long lines, I went with my uncle and drove me to one place, saw the line and then took me to another place .. and it was epic.. beef noodle, the reason it’s a Taiwanese national dish, is because it’s everywhere, it’s the ultimate filler if you’re hungry..
I made it exactly 2:13 into this video before typing this comment and closing my laptop and go get me some beef noodle soup
