I don't think they've ever made a bad game, it's just that Microsoft have made some questionable decisions with them, and instead of utilizing their full potential have just kinda squandered them.

MSoft needs to back off and let Rare continue on the unfinished business they keep cutting them off from instead of forcing something unnecessary from them all the time.
The presentation is amazing. I wish more Sony collections were done in the same manner. With all those effect and shit, looks really, really good. Props to the guy that had the idea.

What's even more rare is finding a channel you wouldn't mind binge-watching through a night. Bravo, sir. If I wasn't sold on Rare Replay before, this cinched it for me. This will be what makes me drop the cash on an Xbox One.
Gotta say, this one collection made me momentarily rethink getting a PS4 first. Momentarily. Since I've played most of if not all these games I can't do that. But good God is it tempting. Hell, for Conker and Jet Force gemeni it'd be worth it. Even if I own both of them. lol Sad that, for obvious reasons, none of the Donkey Kong games, Diddy Kong Racing or Star Fox Adventures could be here. But there's not much we can do about that. At least Perfect Dark and Blast Corps are here-wasted many hours of my life on those. lol

Are the graphics or at least resolution updated on any of these titles or are they just running at original spec? I know it would be quite an undertaking so I'm expected the latter lol, but man is that gonna be hideous on my screen
Ryan S yes the resolution is alot better for almost all of them. the only exceptions are the ones that were released on the ZX Spectrum. and that's only because that shit is black and white.

Pity this ain't coming to Ps4 because, and I'm gonna show my age now, I played those early rare games (ultimate play the game) on my zx spectrum and c64 a lot of years ago and they were classics back then. I loved the remake of jetpac on my old 360.
Oh, you could emulate over half of these games on a normal PC. You sure could. I'd say you're still obligated to pick up this collection if you have a XBO the same way you buy Mario games for Nintendo consoles. This looks like the best collection for a console since the Sega Ultimate Genesis Collection or Super Mario Allstars (SNES).

I did not have a chance to play any of rare games growing up. I am more of recent gamer. It would have been nice if this is also available on PC or PS4. I noticed this review is a lot shorter than your usual ones.

Taylor B For a bundle of ancient games? I'd probably pay $5 at most for this, over half the games are unheard of relics, and what you get left with are a few classics. Mainly Banjo Kazooie / Tooie, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Viva Pinata / Paradise, and maybe 1 or 2 others. It's a good bundle, but not worth $30 unless you are wrapped up in N64 Nostalgia.
