  • Come along with me today as I hike up the highest mountain in Derbyshire - Kinder Scout, in the Peak District, England. This is also the route of the Mass Trespass. It was 10.92miles - but actually only a total ascent of 2807ft not 3500ft! (my Ordinance Survey mobile app differed from the desktop version for reasons I do not know!) A wonderful walk in the Peak District National Park!

Another soul-nourishing video from green, green England! What a magical, wild place. You are right to celebrate the actions that led to opening up access to the wild lands of your country, so that everyone (including us, thankfully) can enjoy and take inspiration from them.

Very nice Mary - thanks for feeding our souls - while you were feeding yours. I always seek the high ground, for those stunning vistas, and there's that mysterious rush, exciting the senses, as you reach the top of a plateau, or mountain, that's hard to explain. And your well shot video shows us the lush beauty of the area - again nicely done.

Oh the memories of last years Pennine Way walk are flooding back. I have video of the same interesting rock formation and thank you for telling us about the Mermaids Pool, as my BF and I tried to figure out what we were seeing ;) We walked from Edale the first two passages of the Pennine Way so it was great to see it from the opposite direction! It was proper English weather then and Kinder Downfall was actually rising up (due to the strong wind) instead of falling LOL which was really cool to see, and we also made peace with the wet feet for both days ;) I absolutely love the Peak District.... Thank you so much for this beautiful video - as always your joyful spirit and smile makes it such a pleasure to watch, as does your great editing style and the music. Oh and the cookie still looked good, I made them after you posted about them originally and they are very tasty.

I know I've said it many times b4. But it's stunningly beautiful and AGAIN such beautiful music choice.
The day really did behave itself as far as the weather was concerned !!!!! I think the overcast adds depth of color to every thing !!! Unless you carry a uv filter and a few others that help " enhance " the color.
Thanks so much Mary !!! Due to the fact that I live in the Southwest desert region of the USA and the temperatures are well into triple digits.
And to watch these videos makes my heart ache !!!!! But duty calls and I have to have a stiff upper lip you know🧐 ..,... very peaceful 🙂. I love the rock walls with grass and or moss growing out of them !!!!!!
It's all very much like a fairy tale 😀 !!! I'm almost certain there's some wee little people watching you as you walk past 😅😂😃.
Very, very, very nice video Miss Mary !!!!!
May God continue to bless you and keep you. And as always, keep on rocking the free world ☺️...

Hi Stuart & Threeknuckle Shuffle, it was in fact a total of 2807ft total ascent (my mobile app told me it was 3500+ but when I checked on the desktop at home it was 2807ft). I did correct this in the description! Also It wasn't only 8miles it was 11.9miles as I did do my own route plan before I left rather than the standard shorter one.
