  • Hey everyone…!!
Hope you are all fit and well and getting yourselves out and about in the great outdoors.
This is a little video of my first trip out with my camera after finally being released from lockdown.
I thought I would ease myself back into it with a quick stroll up onto Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park.
My destination for the day is an old aircraft wreck that crashed up on Kinder back in October of 1943.
So why don’t you go and do yourself a brew, sit back and put your feet up and come along with me up onto the wild and wonderful Kinder scout.
You are guaranteed to see some wonderful views along the way.
I do hope you enjoy the video.
If you like this type of content and you would like to come along with me to see other aircraft wrecks in the area then drop me a little comment below.
Take super care of yourselves and I’ll see you all in the next video.
    Mike :-)

Hey Matt…Thanks for such kind words. I’m so happy you enjoyed the video🙂 I’ve been real busy with work just recently but I’ll be back with more videos real soon. I haven’t done a walk around the kinder area for a while so I’ll get my map out and start planning one.
Thanks again for watching the video and for dropping me a comment, it’s very much appreciated🙏

Thanks for your filming Mike. It inspired me to do the trip, as a second cousin of mine lost his life back in 1944 over Italy in a Halifax bomber. Its incredible that two of the guys on this flight survived ,and it got me thinking how on earth they managed to get help. perhaps they were stretched down. who knows.
My walk was great ,as i was blessed with nice weather ,and i even saw a mountain Hare. The rocks shapes and views were excellent . May you have many more interesting Hikes .cheers karl.

Hey Karl thanks for taking the time to watch my video🙏 I’m so pleased you were able to get yourself up there and do the trip. I bet it was quite moving for you seeing that you and your family have a similar tragic event close to your hearts. Yea it’s amazing that two of the crew lived through the awful experience. So glad you were blessed with good weather while you were up there. Seeing a Mountain Hare is not a every day occurrence up there as they are spooked by the slightest noise. I’ve seen a few myself when I’m hiking on my own but never when I’m with someone. So glad you got to see one🙂 Thank you again for watching the video and for dropping me a little comment, it’s very much appreciated and it inspires me to carry on videoing my hikes. Take care and enjoy your summer. May we all have a good one this year🤞
      All the very best.. Mike🙂

Great to see you back out Mike. The plane crash site was a new one for me. I’ve been to a few on Bleaklow and seen a couple on Howden Moors but none on Kinder. I might take a look at that book as a friend of mine is keen to visit all of the Peak District crash sites and I’d like to tag along with him.

Yea it’s a good book to take a look at. Covers a wide area of the country not just the Peak District. Thanks for giving my video a watcharoo. I do hope you enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting plenty more done this year now that things are a little more under control. Take care and keep those videos coming fella🙂
All the very best and keep yourself safe.

It is pretty much a straight forward route and you should have a fantastic time and be treated to wonderful views along the way. Thank you for taking the time to give the video a watch and for dropping me a lovely comment🙂

@@Zaptabby I love the woolpack area of kinder. Some fantastic rock formations. Especially love the one that looks like a blokes head. It’s amazing what the weather and time can do. Actually I say the same thing to myself every time I look in the mirror😬

Hey thank you Rachel🙂 I’m so pleased you liked it. Yes it’s one of the many aircraft wrecks up there that go unnoticed. It’s in a nice quiet location and definitely worth a visit one day🙂
