Glad to see Osp in other markets getting recognition 👍 My favourites are the the Louder 60, Highcut SP and the Beaver lineup. Much love from Germany 🎣✌
One thing is for sure is Ben knows how to sell you any bait ever. Glad I can purchase and support a well trusted tackle shop. Keep up the good work and make sure to let “white claw” hippie and Carmen know we thank them...and I suppose Geoff too 😆 for the help with these videos!
I want to thank you guys for what you all are doing with these videos . I have learned so much already sadly even about stuff I already owned and I think you for that . Your knowledge is next level exactly what a bass junky like me needs . You have sold me on these baits if I can just make my mind up on witch ones . This could very easily get out of control financially lol thanks guys keep up the good work .
Glad this came out after i left the store 😁 great video, please keep this lineup breakdowns and hiw you fish them coming. Bonus for you is that i will have less questions for you at the shop and you can actually help some other customers. Love the hook up tackle 👍
As an aspiring angler down in Arkansas, this is maybe my...third comment on TH-cam and you've earned a subscriber, as well as a customer. I'm currently browsing these baits on your site since my Bass Pro down the road only has one in store. Being a predominantly jig/plastic angler I can't wait to try these out on some points at Lake Ouachita.
Another great and informative video Ben!!! Im just getting into the OSP brand, all thanks to you, and have been extremely happy with the results. I fish a very high pressured lake that fish probably see 100 plus lures pass by them on any given day and being the one that sticks out or is different is certainly paying off for me. Going to be adding more of these to collection so be ready for my next weekly order 😂😂😂
Great content Ben. Great to see how passionate you are about your trade and how eager you are to share what you know. You’ve earned my business going forward. If I may be so bold to make a suggestion; add a “what’s new” section on the website. It helps us impulse buy guys find the stuff we haven’t seen before.
Great video and my favorite shop to buy OSP items. Just don’t leave your OSP baits in the sun, especially the new Edge boxes. Baits will expand and split. It’s their gluing process
@@thehookuptackle_usa what is it about Plano vs other brand boxes that causes split. Never heard of a certain brand box and heat causing it. Is it because they're clear?
Finally an OSP tutorial. Thanks THUT, I would really like more these. On a side note since you guys are the ONLY JDM resource we have stateside please get the Steez Racing Design rods. Please !
trying to get more confident in divers. I got some DTs, drunkers, and other but just had to try this BLITZ MAX DR. 20$ is rough but im all into fishing products that are tested and refined heavily and I will know if its worth it after I fish it. thought it would be worth a try. In the kayak I dont even loose that many baits to snags. I could see my self breaking it off to a fish but thats part of the fun.
Really enjoying the content. Shop looks awesome, definitely have to stop in someday! Just ordered some cranks and OSP. Looking forward to trying them out! Keep the content coming!
How do thinner walls on a sealed bait cut down on wind resistance? The wind never even comes in contact with those honeycomb shaped ridges which are inside the bait. So they would have no effect on wind resistance. I am also curious as to what pros don't want me to know what ever the secret was. I couldn't listen to the whole video.
You're right right, thinner walls have nothing to do with wind resistance. He must have meant "thinner profile" which would have made better sense. I seriously doubt that the honeycomb pattern contributes significant strength to the walls to lessen the material needed to lighten it. It simply follows the trendy, techy design pattern you see everywhere as a marketing scheme. On a much larger bait, the savings would be more believable, but not on a thumb sized piece of plastic, no matter how toughtfully designed. Using subtleties that border into the mystery-zone have been one of the most powerful marketing tools--rememeber the pet rock? The more that people spend $20 for a bait motivates them to try it at $25. Customers drive up prices more than companies can. No thank you to $20 baits.
Ben, I got a crank bait in a mystery tackle box, it is made my castaic baits. I noticed it was almost identical to OSP crank baits. It has the honeycomb inner chamber and the little exposed weight by the front first hook. Is the Castaic the American version of OSP blitz crank baits or did they just copy OSP?
How do these do in clearer water, or what patterns tend to do in clear water. I tend to shy away from cranks since I fish natural lakes with 6-10 foot of clarity, but some of those look like they could do real well, much more natural looking. I’m up in Washington state so no shad in my fisheries anyway
Most of the Smallmouth lakes where guys crush them on these are clear. I’d probably do the deeper diving stuff for when they’re set up on that 12-15 foot depth.
Ghost Minnow minnow works great for me in Wa State. Clearish copper/crayfish and such. Clearish perch too. A good rainbow trout pattern should work, had for me for years, but broke that one, need to find another.
Love the videos thanks for breaking everything down because it does get confusing. Any chance you could breakdown the dark sleeper and similar baits please
OSP also makes the best jerkbaits in the market in my opinion. I haven't seen many videos of them from the US, but here in Spain Rudra and Varuna are the best known jerkbaits, they suspend perfectly, great sound and casting. Price is high but they really do make a difference, it would be great to see a review from you!
Digging the videos. Squarebills been super on fire for me last 10 plus years. I prefer the biggie smalls and biggie poppa ish Monroe cranks. 8.99. Awesome cranks. Im going to have to try those OSP ones!!!! Ill be buying a few asap.
S Crank is a hunting bait, so I find that it works best in open water where it has a chance to do its thing. Blitz is more of a traditional squarebill with great cover deflection and a tight movement.
