Did this upgrade on my 03 g35, bought front and rear calipers with both front and rear rotors off a wrecked 37s had them turned, picked up z1 ss brake lines, z1 mounting bracket new czp akebono decals new brake pads all around and did it for 700....😁
I installed mine on the G37xs 2009, When we install the Akebono caliper, We put the bolt, washer into the both bracket and tighten it and that caused the rotors to grind inside the caliper. So we couldn't figure it out why, we check the piston to make sure they were all the way in but no luck, so what we had to do is to take the washer and place in between the bracket and Akebono caliper. So you have the bolt- bracket- washer and caliper. but on yours you put the caliper and then you just put the Caliper brackets bolts in and you had no issues wow. Feels like something is not right
I used this video for reference when I installed my Akebonos on my 2011 Z. Not that complicated other than bleeding the beasts. Haven't done the rears yet but I will before too long. Good video! Torque the caliper bolts to 95lb-ft. (Have seen 91 to 98) Loctite blue isn't a bad idea, but I believe they'll stay on if torqued on.
next time do not forget to use grease on the slider pin and on the pads too, great video I have to do mine 09 g37xs, lets hope I will not screw mine lol

Its 4 hours not 1 hour when u use a floor jack and take time to clean everything right. And please dont spend less than $1000 on this conversion. Good akibono pads and rotors alone are $600 online. You want a good quality set of calipers also for a conversion. Dont go cheap on your brakes, you will spend more in the long run trust me on that.

If they are they will fit if you have the right size wheel, do some modifications to the dust shields, get correct banjo bolts, upgrade brake lines and I believe the front or the rear needs an adapter for the caliper to fit. I had in mind to do the actual Akebono upgrade to my 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan but I wasn't aware of this Power Stop brake model that is supposedly a remanufactured Akebono. Let me know if you did the upgrade or need more info.

When you were doing the backs did you have to shave the metal plate down because of your new larger rotors

Don't believe it has to be a 19. But the sport models that has these brakes, I believe they are 19s.

Thats because i only install the front on this video. The brake dust shields only have to be cut for the rear.
