Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released for the PlayStation 4 in 2017. The plot follows Aloy, a hunter in a world overrun by machines, who sets out to uncover her past. The player uses ranged weapons, a spear, and stealth to combat mechanical creatures and other enemy forces. A skill tree provides the player with new abilities and bonuses. The player can explore the open world to discover locations and take on side quests.

Man I can't stand MCU Hawkeye.
I'm not sure you are joking, because while in game that's what I said to myself, but I realised the head of the arrow is made of the machines armour. Firing at the armour with Aloy's skills takes a really long while before they fall off and break, then all that's left is the open parts of the machine, which I'm sure I can mess up with my hands and teeth

I can never get enough of this game, its so well made.
I love this game. The story line is fascinating, it's an open world, so I can go anywhere and do anything I like at any time, and Aloy isn't an out of proportion sex kitten, but a realistic young tribal warrior woman.
But i had a crush on her ... 😗😗
I'm loving Kassandra in Odyssey. Just completed the main story. Thinking of buying this game. Is it worth having?

I got this game for free from ps plus and from my experience I can tell that they really made this game a gamers experience because not only did it have good graphics and world but the story was impacting and got me on hook with the game that is why it is one of my favorite games.
I really love how the game sounds...
And I hope the 3d audio on the ps5 Will be just as spectacular as they say!

A lot others, like a tripcaster, slingshot, one other that shoots multiple arrows at once I forgot what it was called, and three more types I believe in frozen wilds

God look how beautiful this game is. I expected for it too look dated as I have been playing the improved forbidden west but it still holds up perfectly.
The people that made these games deserve much respect.

Hey @Derek T I bought a slim too. For upgrades you should buy an SSD for the internal drive. A good pair of IEMs eg CCA CA10 or CCA CSN. Your gaming experience will be fantastic, especially this game, its so immersive. I also bought the P4 plus controler. Its basically a dualshock in a dualsense shell, amazing value and comfort.
former 90s gamer here. this game is the single most badass and engaging modern game i have played to date. i hope they expand the world 10x in HZD 2.

@Viktor J. Hoel Hmm I loved Doom 2016 campaign and multiplayer. TF 2 was so epic with those mech finishing moves and ultimate attacks. Gravity well equipment, and phaze shifting powers were the sickest thing ever.

i think hitting machines with the ice arrows then following it up with the shotgun style bolt caster was by far my favorite thing to do in this game

Not me, stun the machina and hit with the staff every time.... That sucks....
I prefer use every trap and weapon I have and exploit monsters's weakness.

I got this game with the complete edition through the ps plus about a year or two ago whenever it came out for free. Played it on and off and haven’t beaten it yet. It’s such a great game though. Definitely would recommend
Thought I’d do a one time gameplay on this game just to add it to the collection of games shown on this channel. Apparently it’s also rumored that this may come out on PC sometime this year so maybe I’ll do some vids on it down the road.

Horizon, Spider-Man, red dead redemption 2 are the best games on ps4 console that’s why they are bringing out the new ones with the ps5
But rdr2 is on xbox, I'd say that horizon zero dawn, uncharted 4, God of war and blood borne are the best games on ps4 in my opinion

It's coming to PC and it basically just looks like robot monster hunter world. Get over yourself console peasant. PC has about a billion games not on ps4, it's completely backward compatible all the way back to atari 2600. You can keep paying extra money to play online. Ends up being more expensive than a good gaming PC in the long run, with inferior hardware and an inferior game selection.

As a die hard nintendo fan I can say, this game out of this world. I think it walks over bow, even my 6 year son amazed by it, and says he cant wait till christmas for forbiden west :DDD
it's an awnsome game, but it's not perfect, it's very limited, you can't climb any mount for example, and the gameplay is kinda repetitive, however the history and world ambient is amazing

A truly epic combat is one where you don't use a time-slowing effect, the enemy health bar, and heavy weapons.😎

this was one of those games that just made me feel happy inside while playing...I finished it a long time ago and now I can't wait for this games sequel to come out on the PS5

I can't believe how "bad" this looks compared to the PC version despite also looking basicallly the same (and looking fantastic either way).
It's the upscaling, the PS4 is upscaling to 4k (full disclosure, I watched this in 1440p because that's the monitor I have on PC) from a FAR lower resolution and it shows. If you're on PC and used to running it at native 1440p it's incredibly apparent when watching this video. Presumably, PC players on native 4k would notice this even more, I couldn't say, as I'm unwilling to get a 4k monitor yet despite having the hardware to run it (I think 4k is a massive cash-dump even if it's possibly amazing). Probably one of those "you don't know that you wanted it until you saw it" things, but I haven't actually had the chance to game on a 4k display yet, so I, happily, have no idea if I'm missing out on anything of value there. Anyway, I'm meandering there so I'll get back to the point.
It's strange, it looks "bad" in an entirely subjective way. It's blurred to all hell in the video by the upscaling and it's REALLY noticeable if you've just switched from running the game at native 1440p and then watched this video, which is what I did, but it's subjective in that It's objectively still just as beautiful in terms of art-style, etc. But native 1440p is crystal clear in comparison.
All of the art-style still comes through, all of the beauty of the environment comes through regardless, it's just the lack of clarity that's noticeable when switching. This is a gorgeous game regardless of platform and rendering methods.
When I first started this game on PC (and this is even AFTER playing through Cyberpunk2077), I got lost for ages just looking at things and wondering at how absolutely beautiful everything was. Horizon is absolutely gorgeous, it just looks stunning. There's a genuine beauty to the world they made here.
And despite how blurry the video looks in comparison to PC on a decent native resolution, it's still gorgeous there too.
God, they made something nice there.
it still shocks me that this was done on a ps4. it's just impressive as hell.
As for the video itself... You're WAY less concerned about Sabre Tooth's than me, but I'm still early on in the game and I don't think that I'm as high level as your character just yet... You approch Sabre Tooth's the same way that I approach Walkers and Striders. Very nice to watch. :p
P.S. Of course, all of the above about resolution could be nonesense because it may all be down to TH-cam compression messing things up... I'll accept the possibility of it, if so.

It’s a Skill in your Skilltree. I think it’s called focus
Once you have unlocked it you need do click R3 while aiming and it will slow down time and zoom at your target

The game is actually more than that. You can make use of the enemy's weakness, and weakpoints to deal more dmg.
