I did wonder if you'd go visit CB after we talked about I Dream of Jeannie. 😊 The condo we stayed at was just south of the park and I Dream of Jeannie Lane. Growing up, I loved watching Jeannie, the Astronauts and the space theme of course, but I had a crush on Jeannie. The outfit she wore to a little boy was sexy. I remember the first time we were allowed to see her belly button. OH MY! She had to keep her belly button covered most of the series, could show her stomach, but they had to cover the belly button. Isn't that weird? Barbara Eden was a pretty lady then and still is today. (She's in her 90's now.)
The biggest difference between Jeannie and Betwitched, was Jeannie was a 2000 year old Jeannie, she didn't have a name, so they called her Jeannie, who could technically grant wishes, but they just had her doing magic. Captain Nelson, later Major Nelson, found her bottle on a beach after his spaceship landed off course. He opened the bottle, now he had a Jeannie. LOL Betwitched, Samantha was a witch married to a human, who could do magic too.
I'm no expert, but if I had to guess, that looked more like a US Navy ship than a cruise ship, or maybe a cargo or tanker ship? We don't see many ships on the northern side of Canaveral. But I don't know much about cruise ships either LOL
Yeah you weren't dressed for the beach, oops. The dark color blouse I bet was hot out there on the sand. Sorry you got so hot. The things you do for me Julie!! 🥰 Thank You AGAIN! and yes I did enjoy it. Fun to see the area again. I guess it was about 5 years ago now that we stay in Cocoa Beach. Hope you do get to see the show sometime. Silly comedy from the 60's. LOL
    Thank You Julie!!

Hey Mustang! Haha of course I did, I knew when I first got the idea to do historical markers that I had to go see the I Dream of Jeannie ones you had told me about. I hope I hit them all. I have an app on my phone called Explore Here that tells me where markers are, but it's not always totally up to date. This was one of the videos I did specifically with you in mind LOL. I knew you said you liked the show so much, and I still haven't had a chance to watch it. Hopefully I can tune in one day soon. Did I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched run concurrently?

I think they were on at the same time, but Bewitched ran a year or two longer. I saw Betwitched off and on, didn’t like it as well. Then at some point, the guy who played the husband, Darrin, changed. A different actor. They were very similar because they were both trying to hide the ladies special powers. I just liked Jeannie better. She was prettier. lol. Hey I was a little guy, liked pretty ladies. 🤓
As soon as you said you were in Cocoa Beach, I thought of I dream of Jeannie because we talked about it for a few days. And you did teach me, they didn’t use any of the NASA buildings in Canaveral. If I remember correctly, early in the show, they showed the outside of the house, the neighborhood they lived in. I always wondered if they filmed that in Cocoa Beach? Now I know they didn’t. Thanks to you. And I don’t have to go looking for the neighborhood. lol
Feel so special that you did some of your videos for me. Really appreciate it Julie! ☺️

I was a smidge bummed that literally nothing of the show was filmed in Coco Beach. Not gonna lie that fact did dampen my enthusiasm to watch the show somewhat. The whole "let's go find that house/building/etc" you know. But it is really cool how cast & crew paid honor to CB by visiting a few times and visiting NASA as well. I bet she felt like a real Royal Ribbon Cutter getting to press that button or however she did her thing at NASA 😁. Too bad these aren't iron markers. They deserve to be!

I looked up Jeannie on TV this morning, I'd forgotten the few seasons or so were in black in white. It's showing on Tubi, BTW. It also had a movie they made, it said 15 years later, Jeannie and Tony are married and have a kid, TJ or Tony Junior. Larry Hagman didn't return as Tony though, it was Wayne Rodgers, the guy that played Trapper John on MASH. That was so weird to see. (Just watched a few minutes of it.)
Even though it wasn't filmed in Florida, to me back then, it just made me want to go back and visit there, always loved Florida when we did go down there, and "Seeing It" on TV made me want to go even more. Just weird now knowing it wasn't in Florida, ever. 😒

Yeah the glass kind of shattered when we realized not ANY of the show was filmed in Florida. Seems like they could have at least gotten some B-roll footage here, our coastline is completely different from California, etc. But I'm still glad they put Cocoa Beach on the map! Sadly I can't watch anything in black & white, it gives me a terrible migraine from the eyestrain. I may have to pick up whenever they shelled out the big bucks for color TV hahahaha. I think Cocoa Beach needs a Jeannie statue!
